Over the first seven decades of football between Logan and Athens, Athens won 54% of the games, but over the last three and a half decades Logan has won 82%.

Athens' scoring average against Logan has been a little over 14 points where Logan's average has been over 19 points

1995 was the last time Athens beat Logan

Logan has more wins over Athens than any other school that Logan has played.

Logan has 12 straight wins over Athens.

1980/89 Logan's record against Athens was 7-2-1
1990/99..........................................8-2-0
2000/07..........................................8-0-0
..................................................23-4-1

After 2007 nothing to compare ..............Athens left the league and neither had an obligation to play each other.

Only at Nelsonville York does it take your best athletes 3 years to get through middle school.

Yes, 6th, 7th and 8th grades. I realize Athens is on the fast track to high school with their student athletes, since they have to get everything they can out of the OU coaches sons before dad gets a job somewhere else.

Should be seniors next year but are redshirt juniors. Sorry Athens has a strong AP and Honors program so it gets all the OU coaches kids. Reason why we don't mind being the only school district around that pays a school tax

Yes and a really good soccer program. :122249 Might be running thin on the OU sons the next few years though, so I see why you are getting your excuses ready for the forthcoming beatings by the Buckeyes.

Our QB next year is the offensive coordinator's son. Good luck stopping 6' 220lbs Saltzman at running back

If the Saltzman kid he runs like the McBride kid from Logan, he will be handful.

I am not that familiar with Athens schedule, I assume Logan-Zanesville-NY are the games "circled" at least now as being the more interesting match-ups. Zanesville, down last year assume they will tick back up, NY very young last year and still made play-offs will tick up, and I think Logan is going to surprise some people.

Will be interesting to see if the Bulldogs are on verge of sustaining a long-term program past the run of the "phenoms" or if they will cycle down. Hard to sustain last year obviously, I assume this year is at worst 8-2 and a possible 10-0 for regular season. If I was picking gotta go with 9-1. Seen the Logan senior class that will be playing in August most of their way through the younger years and there is some real physicality and athleticism in that group.

After next season Athens will be wanting to revamp the schedule if you know what I mean. ;-)

Athens needs to beat 1 of the three Nelsonville, Logan, or Zanesville to make the playoffs. Athens has a shot to beat Logan and Nelsonville but Zanesville is loaded next year. I wouldn't be surprised if Zanesville goes 9-1 with their brutal schdule next year.
Last year Athens could have went 8-2 with losing their biggest points game with Steubenville and Zanesville and been the 8th seed with 18.5 points average

Interesting, I assume how Athens fairs against Logan early and then Zanesville will be the key games. If they would happen to lose both and go 7-2 into the NY game with a playoff berth on the line that would be another great story-line, especially if NY is in same boat needing a win to go to Week 11.

Lot of interesting scenarios.

Jackson picked up Granville which returns dang near everyone as well and I think the Week 3-4-5 with West Jefferson then Granville then Wheelersburg will be a gauntlet, and then quickly followed by Logan a couple week later.

I am ready for baseball then two-a-days then some football...enough with this Winter already. Although I am looking forward to watching some Convo games this weekend which is about the only good thing left after the miserable forecast.
