I hear Minford is looking for some asst. coaches for this year. Maybe you could throw your name in the hat and get that passing % up. I am sure any football program would love to have people that have football knowledge. Go talk to the staff before practice starts and ask to help.

Minford doesn't have aggressive coaches , and don't know how to win big games, never will !

I have watched for quite a few years and still think your talking out of your rear end. Minford has won plenty of big games the past 5 years and this year I expect them to win even more. So tell me what team do you support? Judging from your post history it looks like your a joke from the Hill...

I would trade for your playoff record any day over the current NY leadership

Saw where OT/DT: Jared McCray was offered a full ride with the Big East and Sugar Bowl champs Louisville. Congrats to him, and hopes he realizes this is his ticket and concentrates on the weight room this spring and summer, instead of baseball, and becomes a football player ready to compete at the major D-1 level.

Is Piketon and Minford going to continue to play after 2013? I heard Piketon wanted out of the contract

Come on why would a kid not want to play all sports? Playing all kinds of different sports makes kids better in the future. Coaches should encourage kids to play other sports and coaches should work togther to make sure this happens at all levels!!

Good schedule. I would like to see that Rock Hill matchup disappear. Is this the last year of that deal?

Yes, we are done with Rock Hill after 2013, but starting the year after, it will be just as bad, as we will once again be playing South Point. In addition, in 2014, despite Northwest moving down to SOC 1, we are keeping the Mohawks on the non-conference schedule (week 4). When I saw that, I was very disappointed, to say the least. It's time for Coach Daniels & company to notch up the schedule just a bit, instead of just waiting on our SOC games to see what the true potential of our team will be.

It's rather difficult to find a game that late in the season in regards to keeping Northwest. Sometimes it's worth having them instead of driving 5 hours for a game. Scheduling to find one game is hard but looking for two is pretty tough. I think valley is having a hard time finding a week 2 let alone week 7 when teams are playing conference schedules.

The Coal Grove series would be great to have back on the schedule. They were always hard hitting, close ballgames. I know both schools need the open weeks to make it work which is sometimes hard to do.

I agree 28buck. Playing a close game is sometimes better than traveling across the state to play. Maybe South Point and Rock Hill will get better and supply some decent playoff points with a win against them. Northwest actually did some good things against Minford last season and showed signs of hope. It would be nice to see them win a majority of their games against the SOC I foes.

5 hours? I obviously wouldn't want to drive to Cleveland to watch a football game. How about other teams in the southeast Ohio area? or even a team from Kentucky or West Virginia? We shouldn't limit ourselves to familiarity to teams that will be mediocre @ best.

Speaking of conference schedules, does anyone know who the SOC 2 might pick up in place of Northwest?

Your still running into districts and conferences in those states. I know we tried for Ashland fairview and a couple other Kentucky teams before we got Grandview Heights. We were lucky to even get that game
