I'm a big believer in that if you play better competetion, you get better. Im not sure getting beat that bad made us any better. The getting better only comes if you play up to the level of your opponet. BH is a powerhouse, you get that every now and then probably the best team to play in the Tank in quite sometime. This Ironton team as bad as they looked could certainly win two playoff games with the way our region is shaping up. As far as this past game goes the best thing for the Tigers to do is just forget about this one and beat a much improved Oak Hill team.

To keep talking about how this game is going to help when it gets to playoffs is a joke. When Ironton did not play in the game they just showed up. When you block so poorly on offense then add the poor tackling on defense it is not good. When you are not doing the fundementals right that is more than just a great team. Bishop Hartley probably gets more of a workout from their second team. The only thing that game may do is to wake up players to get together and do the things needed for a team to win a game.
Ironton fans want to talk playoffs. How many teams are you going to beat when you block and tackle poorly? That has nothing to do with the past teams it is what is going on now. Much like the Green Bay Packers this year. Then you hear about not hitting in practice. Having injuries does adjust some practice habits especially when you only have limited number of players on your team. But the problems of poor blocking and tackling had been mentioned by Ironton people on here before during some of the wins this year. Which just got more exposed against the last two very good teams.

Always have respected Ironton for playing tough games, but going Watterson and Hartley back-to-back is too much. They need to go back to the SEOAL.
