PVC: Monroe Central (3-1) @ Fort Frye (2-2)

Post by surfsider »

I believe Seminoles' offense gets it together this week. Fort Frye might stay in this one for a half, but have to believe MC puts this away to stay in Region 17 hunt.

The Noles that showed up against River wins this game going away. The Noles that showed up against Caldwell might get beat. I'm thinking somewhere in between. Noles 27-18

Long ride to Beverly. Hills that is, movie stars. OK. About 10% of the people that read this will get it. I'm getting old.

I agree with selonmc. But, I'm thinking that the Noles get out of the offensive doldrums this week. I'm going:

MC 38

FF 14

Jay won't let the Noles sputter again this week. None the less it will be a long week of practice. With that being said, the Noles will be ready come Friday night.

Monroe 41
Fort frye 7

Neither team really big and this is a nice matchup.I look for FF to spread it out and hit Spencer Lang deep a couple times.FF plays a lot better at home.Circosta is the better coach but this one will be closer then most think.FF is better then walking wounded Caldwell.

Monroe Central did show that they can play down to a bad team's level, but, like CN2, I can't imagine them playing that bad 2 weeks in a row.

I'm not sure why no one is giving Caldwell any credit for the game last Friday.
I know they were not supposed to be very good, several injuries and everything,
but they came in with a game plan to pound the run with 10 blockers packed together
so tight the D could hardly touch the ball carrier until after a 3 yard gain. They controlled time of possession
and made a game of it. MC made the plays when they had to by scoring quick after they went down 8-7, and
made the big stop on D when Caldwell was 1st and goal from the 9......anyway...I think MC gets the win this week.

Good Luck Noles

with my mighty high degree of book learnin from the sixth grade, i syphered that the Noles are fixin to to lay a whoopin on them cadets. Finale tally would be:

Monroe Central: two and eight
Fort Frye: naught six

MC 0 FF 14 Halftime...No smoke and mirrors here FF smashing it up the middle. FF scored on a 40 yard td run up the middle and a 66 Yard qb draw by Chandler Lang.

Max Alsbach runs for over 200 and 3 tds as FF dominates MC 27-0.Monroe only had 1 redzone trip and it was late in 4th.1st time FF has beat Monroe Central since 00.

The PVC just got a lot more interesting. Great football game from The Cadets. Monroe Central has a lot of speed, but Fort Frye was able to contain them all night.

I believe that Josh Perkins and his squad showed the rest of the PVC how to play MC last week. Kudos to FF's coaching staff for taking the lesson and using it to their advantage. Good win for the Cadets, probably one of the best they've had in the last 10 years.

First time Noles have been shut out since 9/3/2010 (Shadyside 12-0) and first shut out in a PVC game since at least 2000.
