This will be the 29th all-time meeting between the Buckeyes and Chieftans since consolidation. Logan leads the all-time series 21-7.

Before everyone throws Logan under a bus, here are some facts: NY has only defeated Logan twice in Logan since consolidation: 1982 and 1997. NY has *NEVER* defeated Logan in a year that NY lost to Trimble.

NY has only defeated Logan in back-to-back seasons twice: 1981/1982 and 1996/1997.

If the Buckeyes are to defeat Logan in 2012, they must do what they have never done before - beat the Chieftans in a year they lost to Trimble AND they must do what they have only done twice --- win at Logan AND defeat Logan in back-to-back seasons.

Logan 2012 Season: 0-4
8/24 H Lancaster (1-3) [1:3] L 7-42
8/31 H Northland (2-2) [2:7] L 26-32 ot
9/7 A Newark (1-3) [1:3] L 32-35
9/14 A Jonathan Alder (3-1) [3:12] L 0-35

Nelsonville-York 2012 Season: 2-2
8/24 H Trimble (3-1) [6:23] L 14-21
8/31 H Newark Catholic (3-1) [6:23] L 6-32
9/7 A Berne Union (0-4) [5:19] W 62-21
9/14 A River Valley (1-3) [4:15] W 51-12

Logan leads all-time series 21 wins, 7 losses
1967 Logan (H) 22-0
1968 Logan (A) 32-8
1969 Logan (H) 20-14
1970 Logan (A) 64-0
1971 Logan (H) 64-20
1975 Logan (H) 34-14
1976 Logan (A) 21-0
1977 Logan (H) 54-0
1979 Logan (H) 10-9
1980 Logan (A) 7-6
1981 Nelsonville-York (H) 40-0
1982 Nelsonville-York (A) 35-13
1986 Logan (H) 30-12
1987 Logan (A) 27-6
1988 Logan (H) 45-0
1989 Logan (A) 6-0 OT
1992 Nelsonville-York (H) 33-7
1993 Logan (A) 35-18
1994 Nelsonville-York (H) 20-19
1995 Logan (A) 21-18
1996 Nelsonville-York (H) 28-21
1997 Nelsonville-York (A) 27-17
1998 Logan (H) 34-29
1999 Logan (A) 42-15
2000 Logan (H) 28-3
2001 Logan (A) 50-6
2002 Logan (H) 46-19
2011 Nelsonville-York (H) 42-6

Now that the stats are out there, I have to say *GO BUCKS!* This was always my favorite game to play on the schedule back in the '90s. This game also brought the largest crowds. The stadium will be packed in Logan come Friday night!

Here's hoping this game is played every season going forward!

Buckeyes win if they can sustain a steady running game early, look for North to be a big factor in this game along with Young. Good luck bucks.

Havent seen either team play, but Logan seems to be struggling and NY is starting to play football, gonna go with NY for the win.

After looking at Logan scores against quality opponents I think NY will need to play great and it's going to be close. Pulling for the Bucks!

I think this game will be close ny will play hard and so will logan maybe harder then any game this year for a few reasons, but what team makes the fewest mistakes and executes better will come away with it..boston will have his them ready .. i know logan has had it rough but this is their best opportunity based on.. ny d5.. logan d2 ..and they should win every year ,,and revenge from last year . logan is bad in there div but to a d5 school it kinda levels out and makes it closer ,, i mean like say one of the really bad d1 teams that dont win often plays a really good d6 it could go either way imo thats why i think most years logan wins but this year like last ny just has it at the end..

Logan is better than what people think. They should be 2-2 with two close losses to Northland and Newark. This will be a great game Friday night in Logan.

If they were ready to play they should be 3-1 because Lancaster is a very poor football team also!
