Alec Meeker for west will be the back to watch. Ive seen him run a 4.57 40.
The weight room for his size is fanominal i watched him dead lift 500lbs and Military press 250lbs.
IMO teams better watch out stopping him and if they stop him he will block

Let's get real....

So this kid from West has the same 40 time as potential first round running back Chris Polk from Washington? And he's faster than 1st rounder Wide Receiver Kendall Wright from Baylor and All American Juron Criner from Arizona?

I mean I know he is "fanominal", (which is apparently better than phenomenal) but I think you may be stretching things a little.

Go to scoutingohio.com and look up some of the local schools and players and look at their 40 times. The big thing is that everyone around here is hand timed, which affects the numbers a little. Just in comparison, here are 40 times for some locals we have seen recently.
Blake Yates (Valley) 4.60
Alex Shears (Burg) 4.50
Brandon Schankweiler (Burg) 4.40
Trevon Pendleton (West) 4.60

If you do not believe me ask triplet yourself. Yes it was hand timed and is not official but he has ran it.
You'll just see when Valley plays West this year.
Different outcome. ;)

Those "hand" times are different than laser times for sure I've seen guys claim 4.5-4.7 and they dont break 5.0 on the laser.

Either way, at the H.S. level, in SEO...4.6-4.9 isnt bad, not hating on the guy at all...his coach could have got the happy thumb wanting his kid to run a good time, and that millisecond can make all the difference.

I had a similar situation in H.S. my senior year during track...at the regionals they did hand AND laser times. In the finals, my laser time 22.85 was faster than the hand time of 23.2...there is always room for error on the human side.

I do not doubt you that is prob what the stop watch said. its just hand times are never accurate. take blake yates for example. last year he was one of the fastest people in the county. i dont think i have ever seen him get caught from behind and that includes the playoffs. he might have i just cant remember it. he is said to have run a 4.60 in the 40 and i think thats a little generous. in reality if he was electronically timed it prob be 4.7-4.8.

Either way i see him as one of the top Athletes in SOC II this year.
Last yeare he didnt get a lot of carries but on defense people knew who he was.
Just have to wait and see him run this year.
Im excited

Alec has put on some serious weight, that is for sure. And no matter the time, he is pretty dang fast. Running behind the line were gonna have this year, he should put up some big numbers.

Seen him the other day and yes he has put on some serious muscle looks to me with his body size he is built just like Trevon Pendleton only shorter, have been really impressed how hard these kids are working this offseason, was also surprised to see two of our starting linemen playing tennis in Jesse Scott and Neal Whisman. Can't wait till fall.
