Nah...We just can't let Sloan (Slone?) get +5 yards every carry. He's got over 150 yards already.

Minford has to be a solid team because I have seen N.Y. play and they are good.

Falcons take down the Buckeyes 27-6. Great season by Nelsonville-York, but nothing to be ashamed of. I wish Minford the best of luck next week against Oak Hill, and I hope you beat them again. I'm outta here.

Way to represent the SOC!

I would guess this game will be in Jackson next week, but with the OHSAA, you never know...

Jackson or Lucasville would both be good choices.

Wow, what a game played by the Falcons. They were physically dominant on both sides of the line of scrimmage for 4 quarters. Slone ran for 240+ yards, Nelsonville simply had no answer for him or the run game in general. The O-Line played extremely well. The defence played lights out as well, 3 quarters of shutout football. If I remember right Nelsonville's only TD came on a drive kept alive by a penalty, Minford was an offsides call away from holding the TVC Champs to 0 points. If the Falcons continue to play like they did tonight they will be very hard to beat IMO. Good season to the bucks, you had a good team nothing to be ashamed of. Let's Go Falcons, one more week.

Valley won't let anyone else play in their stadium, at least that's what I've been told and it seems true they've never hosted a 2nd round game. With Jackson losing tonight they would be a good choice, since I think they favor the higher seed I'd say it ends up there. Portsmouth would be a good location too, but I doubt they make the #1 seed travel that far.

Buchtel lost this game in the first qrt IMO. They dominated the qrt but once inside the 20 the play calling was horrible. Buchtel had been getting good yardage between the tackles then inside the red zone they would try to run wide I didnt understand it myself . IF and we will never know but they score 14 in the first this game has a different outcome.
Minford pretty much dominated the rest of the game ,the slone kid was a beast. Congrats Minford! I will be watching next saturday hopefully @ jackson.

Great job to Coach Daniels and staff tonight. #15 ran hard and laid the wood to NY defenders. The line on both sides of the ball dominated all night long. #3 ran hard and he and #27 blocked very well. I was also very impressed at how #88 played at cornerback the 3rd and 4th quarters. Thats how you come up and hit the receivers on short passes before they can get loose.

I also liked that we didnt have to run Butcher and he basically got a little extra rest till next week.

Nelsonville York has a good team, they just had no answer for the powerful, physical football that Minford played tonight. That is what playing in the SOC II does, it makes you tougher and stronger. Just a different brand of football in the SOC II vs the TVC. Minford lined up and just ran it down their throat all night long.

I hope the Nelsonville fans enjoyed our stadium and has a safe trip back.

Minford is going to be a tough team to beat if they keep playing like they did tonight.

Now on to next week to again face the Oaks.
