Week 9 SVC: Piketon 6-2/4-1 @ Adena 5-3/5-0

Post by blueskin »

A Piketon win would cause a likely 3-way tie at the top heading into week 10. An Adena win clinches at least a share of the league title.

The way Adena has been running the ball, they will be tough to stop. They showed last week that they can slow down a pretty good passing attack with their defeat of Westfall. I do look for Piketon to be a little more physical than Westfall, so it could be an interesting game.

I'll go with:
Adena 23
Piketon 20

6 turnovers against SE didn't help.

Look at this way...have 6 turnovers and only give up 16 points and lose by 2? SE won, but didn't exactly dominate. Hate to say it, but I think Adena clinches a share of the title Friday night. The Streaks will have to play much better offensively against the Warriors to have a chance. GO STREAKS!

for piketon to have a chance in this one,,they need to study films of se vs adena or westfall vs adena....and get to hutchinson,,before he gets going...if not,,a long night for the streaks

Way more than six turnovers? Wow, that's quite a statement. Nobody has way more than six turnovers.

Talked to my Adena insider yesterday morning. He is predicting an Adena win, but does not think that it will be a walk in the park. He wasn't impressed with Westfall, and said not to put too much stock in the scores from the respective SE games. The Streaks have to have a solid tackling night to at least slow down Hutchison. Do keep in mind that the Streaks can score some points as well, but must minimize turnovers and mistakes. Head says Adena, heart says Streaks. GO STREAKS!

I know this game has always been that hump that the Streaks just haven't been able to get over in years past. Hopefully, they can take care of the football and give themselves a chance to be in it in the 4th quarter.

So Hutchison now has more than 1,100 yds in the last four games? Wow!

Congratulations to the Warriors on at least a share of the title, and IMO the overall title. Wow, I know that Adenas running game is good, but they manhandled our front 7 like jr high kids!
