The TVC Ohio might be slightly better travel-wise, but no
better for competition's sake.

Under this format, SOVC1 would be a two possibly three team race each year, SOVC2 would be wide open every year, and SOVC3 would be between Ironton, West, and Portsmouth, forever has the better team that year, of course under this format the "little brown jug" would be a non-conf game for the Grove and Peake.

I almost choked when I read a previous post on this thread that River Valley is to far for the OVC to travel. Forgive South Gallia fans for getting a chuckle since SG's closest conference games are Southern, Eastern and Wahama which are approximately 40-45 miles one direction. Then there are 2 conference games that are over 80 miles in one direction (Miller and Waterford) and 3 more that are over 65 miles one way (Fed Hock, Trimble, Belpre). As for RV going to the TVC I personally think it would be a great move for the Raiders. The rivals are more natural than playing all Lawrence county schools. RV however will go to the Ohio Division from what I heard because they are too large of a school to playing in the Hocking. I wish RV all the luck in the world and truly hope they get the program turned around. GO RAIDERS!!! Battle hard!

It is not decided yet, but look for answers after October 16.
What happens October 16?

I am a dummy. The date I meant was actually today. The TVC had their meeting. I have not officially heard, but sounds like we are in in two years.

Grove scores early and often, over early, end of the first or 2 series into the second.

The Grove needs to come out strong and put get this game over early, start resting starters for what should be the toughest two conference games and possibly playoffs.

Portsmouth might be in the mix,but not Ironton they will never get in a league filled with division 4 & 5 teams, the lose too many playoff points.
Why would they join any league when they can beat Div 2 & 3 teams go .500 and make the playoffs?
Wish on!

I myself like seeing RV play in the OVC the competition is great, but they still feel like outsiders, The TVC makes more sense at least RV will have a home game 15-20 miles away almost every game in the league is closer than Fairland, who is the closest now.

Thanks to the OVC for having our kids for the past 8 yrs. Good luck in the future.

I like RV in the OVC, too. In other sports, they are very competitive. I wish we could get Oak Hill back in the conference.
