according to Locos Logan has owned North since the series began. I see no reason why the Cheiftains can't continue to do so. Im stil not convinced of the o-line hype about the Panthers. Logan has already faced the best team they will see all year and as long as they improve on the errors they made in week one they should win this matchup

Is North still drawing players and coaches from other districts that stopped offering football or has that situation worked itself out?

Alumni -

All the SW City people are back at Grove City, Westland, etc.

However, two of Reynoldsburg top players transfered to North and are 2-way starters for them this season. 1 has a couple of D1 offers as a tight end and defensive end.

Poor ole Reynoldsburg same ole story every year losing great players to other schools..Locos who was the stud running back they had on their awsome freshman team last year? Did he stay with Reynoldsburg? When I was a member of the puddle I kept up on that but there isn't much going on with Central Ohio teams here and they were speculating then he might get out after his freshman year.....

Let me be clear, I am a strong supporter of Chieftain Football. That being said, I see this game as a 10 to 14 point victory for Pickerington North. Reasons, the Chiefs must improve there defense tackling and the word of the week is Discipine! Too many pentlies! And my friends that's what cost the Chiefs the game with Lancaster.

Pickerington North 30
Logan 17

One thing Reynoldsburg can keep in mind is that it was only a few years ago that Pickerington North was losing all their best players to area schools.

Wasn't that mostly old Pickerington Players wanting to stay at the old school a few years after the split? I'm not blaming North for getting their players but I've read where Reynoldsburg in the past has lost players to schools such as Desales,Gahanna along with the Pick schools and probably countless others.....

C-Bolt -

No, North opened in 2003 and it was several years later that they lost some really KEY players.

It was the 2006, 2007, and 2008 teams at Central that really benefited from transfers. Zach Boren (now starting at Ohio State) transferred (DURING HIS SEASON) after his freshman year at North. Remember, his older brother played 3 years at North, so it wasn't a case of him wanting to return.

Also, both the Stoudt brothers (sons of Cliff Stoudt, former Steelers QB) transferred from North to Dublin Coffman. The older brother is at Lousiville now I think while the younger one is one of the top QBs in Central Ohio and still at Coffman.

I saw the older brother play as a freshman FOR Pick North when they were playing at Logan.

Good luck to the Chiefs. But I think it is Pick North's year to win this one. We'll get after Reynoldsburg next week, then it is on to League play. Beat the Ironmen! Keep "The Streak" alive!

Cliff Stoudt was a star QB at YSU and set records. His son at Coffman is a major college QB recruit.

Reynoldsburg has lost a ton of players to other schools. Thats why the program has been so poor for awhile.

North should finally win this year but it should be close & won't be easy. Lancaster gave the Chiefs some good experience. No matter how this game goes, I expect Logan to win the rest of them. They should be ready after this game.
