Week 2-Wheelersburg (0-1) @ Oak Hill (1-0)

Post by Neutron Man »

Let's Get some thoughts. After the Burg came up short in a strong effort against Ironton. I think they will build off their success and learn from their possible game costing mistakes. It was the 1st game. They got all the nerves of a 1st game out and will give Oak Hill all they got.

I'll take Burg here.

Burg 28
Oak Hill 14

Shank and Graf have a huge game!

Doesn't sound stupid actually. And i'm actually from the SVC, so clearly not an Oak Hill fan. I go bye stats, and this year. It's Clearly Oak Hill

After 1 game you can judge who is gonna win?
Did you factor in quality of opponent?

Ironton was clearly suppose to dominate Burg.
I learned first hand. Do not underestimate this Burg team!

Burg may very well be the toughest team OH sees this season.
If not them, Minford. When you play SOC I schools, statistically you will look better!

Ironton's QB was hit pretty hard several times last night! Burg's Line is pretty good.

well i don't have a dog in this fight, so i have to go by what i seen last year from both teams. I think that oakhill will come out on top because of the return starters. the burg lost some good players, but oakhill returned 26 starters. they have the best qb of the two, and the best back field. this is just my opinion, but me and 9 other guys will probable have 10 different ones, so i will just weight till friday. good luck to both teams.

Maybe I'm just stupid, but the most starters any football team can have is 22 if you have 11 different kids on offense and defense and I don't know of any school the size of Oak Hill that can do that.

I do know one thing, if the two posters here are still in school then you better start studying a little harder.

"weight till Friday"

"I go bye stats"

I mean come on, those are very common words fellas.

And by the way bilco2, last year was last year. Whole new season and last year doesn't mean squat.

This game is a coin flip. I have to give the advantage to Burg, but Oak Hill will move the football. Can Burg defend the pass?

I'd say the two with the red asterisks were their biggest wins last year.

Oak Hill 2009
8/28 A Chesapeake (4-6) [5:19] W 37-14
9/4 A River Valley (1-9) [4:15] W 38-0
9/11 H Rock Hill (3-7) [4:15] W 42-8
9/18 A Trimble (6-4) [6:23] W 33-0
9/25 H Minford (8-3) [5:19] W 20-14 *
10/2 H Sciotoville Community School (5-5) [6:24] W 34-6
10/10 A Notre Dame (4-6) [6:24] W 48-0
10/16 H Symmes Valley (8-3) [6:23] W 47-0
10/23 A South Gallia (3-7) [6:23] W 41-14
10/30 H Green (2-8) [6:24] W 49-7
11/6 H # Dawson-Bryant (9-2) [5:19] W 42-14 *

Burg may struggle stopping the Oaks passing game. Though I think they will apply enough pressure at times to get the upper hand.
I do not think that Oak Hill will be able to contain Burg's Rushing. Other than Minford I do not think that Oak Hill will see a tougher team.

It doesn't mean that won't win but if I were a betting man, and I am, I'm putting my money on the Burg!

They can prove me wrong on Friday....

If I remember correctly, there were some strange happenings in the Minford game!

when you say STRANGE do you mean when Minford got HOMERED???

I was at that game it was pretty pathetic really

Burg was playing Rock Hill that night and I remember checking scores online at the game and I recall there was some reason for the outcome, but never heard why.

Oak Hill looks be as good as predicted, and the Burg might not be quiet as good as usual, but they are still the Burg and will be intimidated at all. Oak Hill better come with there A game or it will be long night. Wheelersburg is used to playing in big games, and that does matter.
