These girls will want to know what it's like to be with real champions, celebrating with the true champions, the district champs, the PIONEERS!!!

Really. Not bad for your first post.

I heard that Wheelersburg is the most overrated team left in the tourney. Something about their conference is weak and their schedule is full of JV teams? oh well, cant believe everything you hear. They said they get to this spot every year and choke. maybe its time for a coaching change? sure would make ya mad to have a let down like that year after year.

I think it is time all the kids return to their clubhouses and forts.

This is has turned into nothing but a bunch of name calling, and immature posters stirring the pot.

I'm spending entirely to much time moderating this thread.

WHAT IS THE STATUS OF ZT QB? Please someone with some info. He's pivotal to their success. He went out late 2nd quarter with a sprained ankle and did not return.

Getting really excited for this game!! Gut tells me it's going to be a battle on the line of scrimmage! Power vs power!! I personally think burg's depth will prevail!

zt is 6-0 with dunkle at qb and beat the best team they played this year. They were up on an above avg. PV team with dunkle before going to harris
they are 6-0 with harris this year. Zt will be fine with whomever plays this week. Everyone said ZT couldnt beat pv cause they had no speed. Then it was they couldnt win cause they had no line. Now it is because they dont have the depth- well, the jv outscored their opponents 202-20. (One TD was a KO return) They do start 4 guys consistently both ways while the others rotate. We will see how they lose cause of tiring out this time around.
21-0 at the high school level so depth shouldnt be an issue
Burg is good, will be a test and are capable of winning but zt is too

I think the depth of the Burg team will make a tremendous difference as it has all year. Next man up. They can go 100% all the time and have quality backups to keep them fresh. There's a reason they pull away in the second half of ballgames. Teams get worn down from the pounding. If ZT is deep on the bench then they'll have a shot. If not, it'll be a tough game for them to win. IMO

2 way starters for burg
#2, 31, 67, 52, 8(if he plays), 21
number 5 if 8 is out..
a lot of their guys dont come off the field much so im not sure of the whole depth deal if you are in a tough game
guys like carmichael play a chunk on the other side
number 35 does have a motor though doesnt he-- i like that kid

Burg had the ability to put teams in 3rd and long. If that happens, watch out. Bivens flat gets it.

They may play both ways but they also sub in. They have played 13 different kids on the D line this year and haven't dropped off. The defense for Burg will be the difference here. The linebackers are the best I have seen out of anyone all year. Carmichael has a nose for the football and can read plays before the snap. He studies his film really well and can pick up on keys that the opponents are giving away. This will be a dog fight. But ultimately Burg will impose their will as they have all year IMO.

What was so DIFFERENT about them. JK. That's good to hear. They must have a pretty strong roster.

If burg's depth isn't a differance, their athleticism is! Haven't seen a team with as many athletes as the burg. Even our linemen are big and athletic. I just don't see zt winning any aspect of this game...

And so it came to pass, along the banks of the Mighty Ohio River. Was a town, a town called Wheelersburg. Many blistering summer days kids would make their way to the field, just to give away their blood, sweat and tears to be apart of something. That something is Wheelersburg. Many would doubt and even wondered, could they make something out of what they had. But little do they know the spirit of Wheelersburg. So they start from scratch, many ingredients missing or maybe not in the right place. Yet they fought. Against all doubt and fear. To prove themselves once again to be worthy.

So now the coaches have done all they can to prepare. Peices are in place. Wheelersburg behind them. As the lights come on and the milk jugs start shaking, that's when they turn the key and Big Bad Burg Machine starts cranking.
