Is Gallipolis hosting the annual SEOGA meet this weekend?

Apparently the Gallipolis Cliffside Golf Course is hosting the annual Southeastern Ohio Golf Association Tournament this weekend. That what was displayed on Bob Evans Restaurant's sign this evening.

Used to be a big event, attracting more the 100 golfers from Southeastern Ohio.

The late James (Jaspey) Porter, editor and sports editor of the Gallipolis Tribune, used to take his vacation and give a blow-by-blow of the tourney, starting with pro-am play on Thursdays.

Jottings, the ladies held their SEOGA this past Friday. The men's version died last year. No interest outside of Gallipolis, Jackson and Fairgreens.
