Southeastern Ohio Wrestling top 10

Post by wch125 »

If we were doing a top 10 for all 3 divisions in Southeast Ohio who would you put in, based on duals and tournaments.

1.New Lexington II
2.Athens II
3.Nelsonville York III
4.Washington C.H. II
5.Miami Trace II
6. Sheridan II
7.Westfall III
8.Warren II
9.Logan I
T10.Zane Trace III, Paint Valley III

Seems about right, I would slip Logan in there as well before Paint Valley and Zane Trace. Your top 3 teams are very good. Warren is very young but has a full lineup, they will be good in the upcoming years.

I thought about Logan, I have not seen very many results for them though! Glad to hear Warren has a full line-up. They had some tough kids last year, I know the coach is doing a good job with the kids he has.

You have got to have Hasley (Mar) in there somewhere at 145 or so and there are several kids at Waterford other than Reed who are undefeated who could be in there.

Neimeister 160 is from Columbus West. That was an error in the rankings of Bucksman. Schenk I agree with Hasley. Being undeafted does not always mean your a good wrestler. Scheduling has a lot to do with that. Carl Moody 8th state has lost 3 matches Cody Neff 7-5 2nd state 2008 , 6-2 Adam Ankrom SQ 2009 and Arron Branaham 8-7 SQ . Waterford does have some very good kids. Not knocking them as a team but in general some teams schedule light helps. N-Y used to be in the same boat years back great record and we would get hammered at districts. Schenk where is Nate Hupp at is he wrestling?

Geiger from logan should be in one of the top spots at 160. He has already beat Otero 15-5 at the lancaster tri.

I might be wrong but this sounds like McDermit - He does have 1 out of state lost that I know of , it was to Powell of Point Pleasant at 152. McDermit wrestled at Point Pleasant thru 9th gr. then transfered to Gallia sometime between 10th & 11th Gr. but didnt wrestle, he is a senior this year. I see him having no problem in the SEOAL @145 and with more mat time and some disapline he might make it thru the sectionals. Just my 2 cents. Good luck on the Ohio side McDermit.

i figured people would think this was mcdermitt, but its just a spectator like most of the rest of the people on the forum. i agree there could very well be a few disapline adjustments to the wrestler, and i would like to see him go as far as possible just like the other wrestlers from GA.

Here is what I think is funny. Reed from Waterford is ranked behind a NY wrestler at 119 that he has never lost to, and Reed is not even at 119. Reed is undefeated at 125, ( I know that schedule is everything) has had one close match to a kid which everyone underestimated including Tyler, and has dominated everyone at this weight class. Waterford might have a lighter schedule, but does that make their wrestlers less tough. I like people who sit back and judge other wrestlers without even watching them wrestle. THIS IS WHY WE WRESTLE AND NOT JUST TALK.

i agree, reed is probably the most impressive athlete i have watched on the mat this year.. he is VERY tchnical, and never lets himself get in a bad situation, he handles himself very well..

Tyler has always been top notch I have watched him for years the light schedule does hurt but he has always over come it good luck to him this year What is is career record? it has to be outstanding

as of 1-16-2010 he is 137-18, working on Waterford's all time win record and the season pin record. 11 of those loses came in his freshman year.

Logan should be in front of warren. Logan just defeated warren 41-21 in a dual match. Geiger is at 160 not 152
