I'm thinking they have a sprinter that wasn't too bad on the Middle school team last year.

Think it is Andrew Vincent

Is Al Riffey still the coach or did he retire?

Riffey's still the coach.

There is talent, much of it young. This year is going to be sandwiched in between two very, very successful eras as young runners, jumpers, and throwers get experience to vault Warren back into contention next year.

I heard Blake Staley is a great thrower (freshman this year).

Andrew Vincent sprinted, hurdled and pole vaulted last year for Warren and did very good. He went to state and place 8th in the 110 hurdles with a 17.65

They also have another runner, Evan Yabs who finished 16th at state in the 800 running a 2.22

Al Riffey will always have good hurdlers, throwers, and middle distance runners. I'm really glad to hear that he is still coaching. He was ahead of his time in the late 70's when he coached me as a hurdler and thrower. He is also great at training and sports medicine issues. It is going to be great this year watching my son compete against his team. Coach Paxton at Unioto has a great deal of respect for him. I believe Paxton was a Logan grad.

The Division 1 Boys District Meet is at Meadowbrook

I think all D1 Girls teams will go to the central

I think Warrens Girls are still D2

Yes, I do believe Riff taught at Miami Trace, a long time ago.

He's great, no doubt about it.

Yabs isn't running.

Warren boys and Marietta boys are both D1, Warren girls are still D2.

Hmmm---I was going to keep an eye on him--I thought he would be another one of those Warren runners
