A look ahead for 2026 boys in SEO Part B

Post by noreply66 »

Minford SOC-IV

Minford finished in third place in the 2025 SOC meet with 61 points. Three seniors graduated with 11.25 points, C. Glenn, Z. Fleenor and E. Morrison. One junior returns who earned points in 2025 P. Caudill. Minford should return 49.75 points in 2026.

Minford entered in four relays and scored in three. They earned 6 points and 4.5 should be back in 2026. They averaged 7.5 in how they finished. Looks like they will have 12 runners back. 4x100 52.87 finished in the 9th spot, J. Wheeler, C. Glenn, D. Smith and B. Yazell, 4x200 1:53.72 came in 6th, B. Yazell, D. Smith, C. Glenn, E. Conley, 4x400 3:55.75 took the 7th spot, Z. Fleenor, D. Birchem, D. Smith and T. Ramey, 4x800 came in 8th, D. Birchem, B. Thomas, Z. Fleenor, T. Ramey.

The sprints show P. Caudell at 11.05 one of the best times in SEO for the 100 meters. Caudell will also have one of the best times in the 200 meters at 22.39. In the 400 meters it will be D. Birchem with a time of 56.38.
The sprints have 20 points returning.

The 800 has B. Thomas at 2:32.70. The 1600 shows Thomas at 5:38.01 and the number two runner T. Ramey at 5:54.40. Thomas does the 3200 meters at 12:49.00.

The hurdles show E. Conley with an 18.93 time in the 110. Caudill has a 40.58 time in the 300 hurdles. These two will being back 12 points in 2026.

The field events will see the long jump with Caudill at 22' 05.00" could be the top leap going into 2026 and J. Wheeler at 17"08.75. Discus has B. Yazell with a 66' 11" toss and G. Humston the number two boy. Shot put looks to have B. Yazell with a throw of 29' 10.50" with X. Messer at 24' 08.50". T. Ramey brings an 8' 06 in the pole vault. Looks like both boys graduated from the high jump.

Minford should have a very good track team this year. They will be down in the field events. Relays look strong along with the sprints. Hurdles will pick up lots of points. I will say Minford will take the third spot in the SOC. You really don't want to be down in the field events when one of your opponents are really strong. Don't see them having a chance to move up or even falling to the #4 spot.

Nelson-York TVCO-IV

Nelson-York finished in fourth place in the TVCO meet with 61 points. Don't see any seniors graduating who score points in the 2025 meet. Five juniors scored a total of 32 points, N. Loge, K. Artiga, W, Odenthal, K. McWilliams and C. Layton. looks like all this year's points will return in the spring.

Nelson-York participated in four relays and earned points in each one. 4x100 46.45 3rd place, K. McWilliams, N. Arnold, J. Blake and W. Stone, 4x200 1:45.33 took the 5th spot, K. Domino, D. Moore, K Artiga, N. Loge, 4x400 3:50.54 came in second, K. McWilliams, C. Layton, C. McKinney, D. Mason, 4x800 10:14.53 took the 4th spot, C. McKinney, D. Sow, C. Blair, D. Mason. The relay teams came up with 14 points and will return all those. Their average finish was 4.5.

The hurdles will return C. Layten in both events 110 he has a 17.43 and for the 300 he shows a 45.07. Three points return here.

The sprints have W. Stone at 11.41 and K. McWilliams with a 11.69. For the 200 meters it will be Stone with a 23.76 and N. Arnold comes back with a 25.54. K McWilliams will show a 53.93 for the 400 meters. These three combined for 14 points.

D. Sow will be back in the 800 meters. The 1600 going to have K. Lewis at 5:49.06 and S. Blair returns. Don't see anything for the 3200 meters.

W. Odenthal returns in the discus with a 112' 10" toss, C. Daubenmire will be the number two thrower. The long jump has W. Stone with a 19' 05.50" leap and K. Artiga is the next jumper up. W. Odenthal comes back in the shot put after winning the event last year with a throw of 46' 07" G Carlson returns with a throw of 39' 02.25". N. Loge comes back for the pole vault which he won last spring at 9' 00" K. Domino will have an 8' 00" vault. The high jump has no one coming back. The field events earned 28 points in the 2025 meet.

Don't see much coming up from the middle school.

Nelson-York will move up to the number two spot this year. They need to find someone that can run the 1600/3200 meters to where they can place when it comes to most meets. Most of the other events will see NY get their points. Field events look good with a possible average around 8 points per-event. NY looks to be a strong 2nd place team. Can't see them falling from second and around a 25-point finish behind Athens.

North Adams-

North Adams finish at the top of the SHAC with 140 points. With W. Johnson, C. McCann, C. Deatley taking 29 points with graduation North Adams should have 111 points returning in 2026. K. Eldridge, D. Pence, C. Fogle and B. Hesler will be senior this spring bringing 70 points of the 111 back.

North Adams entered four relays and scored in each one to earn 25 points. 4x100 49.26 5th place, 4x200 1:40.85 3rd place. 4x400 3:35.19 took 1st. 4x800 9:26.72 came in 4th.

100 meters will see B. Hesler return with a 11.20 and a 11.80 from C. Fogle. Hesler also won the 200 at 22.84, the 400 meters with a 48.84. J. Jones will be the 2nd runner in the 200 at 24.95 with Jones also the 2nd runner for the 400 meters. The sprints will bring 37 points back for 2026.

800 meters show D. Pence with a 2:07.05 and J. Thatcher at 2:21.82. 1600 has Pence at 4:45.41. The 3200 shows Z. Work coming back with a 13:32.10 time. 16 points will come back in 2026.

The hurdles show C. Walters with a 20.67 in the 110 and T. Moore with a 20.75. C. Fogle will do the 300 at 43.63 with the number 2 hurdler being T. Raines. They should come back with 11 points.

The field events should see 12 points coming back in the spring. High jump will have M. Martin at 5' 04". The long jump shows K. Eldridge coming back with a 20' 04" leap and I. Raines at 17' 18". The discus, Shot Put and the Pole vault show nothing.

Not much coming up from the military

Northwest SOC-

Northwest finished in the 10th spot in the SOC meet scoring 18 points. Looks like they will have those boys back in 2026.

The relays only finished in one relay, and they didn't place in that one. Should have most of those runners back.

The sprints went scoreless, but the 100 meters will have B. Wamsley at 12.73 and T. Cline with a 12.76. The 200 meters show T. Cline with a 25.61 and T. Neal at 28.09. T. Neal with a time of 58.52 will be back in the 400 meters along with E. Spence at 1:08.56.

G. Cooper will return in the 800 with a time of 2:44.63. The 1600 should see S. Bowen coming back at 6:20.01. The 3200 has S Bowen at 14:06.00.

The hurdles have B. Wamsley back with a 19.17 in the 110 and it looks like no one in the 300 hurdles at this time.

W. Hobbs has a 5' 06" in the high jump. Wamsley will also be in the long jump with a leap of 17' 11" and T. Cline will be doing the long jump. The discus goes to A. Armbrister with a throw of 164' 08" and T. Braxton will be the 2nd thrower. Armbrister also has a 45' 04.50Toos in the shot put. Wamsley will be in the pole vault with a vault of 8' 06" with the 2nd vaulter being W. Hobbs.

A. Wolf is a boy to keep an eye on coming up from the MS in the discus and shot put.

Northwest needs to find help in the sprints and distant races. The field events will be their best category and could pick up some good points in the relays. I will go with the 5th spot with a good chance to move to 4th.

Notre Dame SOC-V

Notre Dame finished 9th in the SOC with 30 points. Didn't see where they graduated any seniors who had score points in the 2025 conference meet.

Notre Dame competed in three relays scoring a total of 8 points and their average finish was 5th. 4x100 51.35 took the 8th spot, C. Piccolo, S. Mault, C. Kempf, L. Saller. 4x200 didn't place, C. Piccolo, S. Mault, C. Kempf, J. Isaac. 4x400 3:54.02 came in 6th, C. Piccolo, S. Mault, J. Isaac, C. Kempf, 4x800 9:18.00 5th place J. Purcell, J. Isaac, S. Mault, C. Piccolo. looks like they should return all runners.

L. Daller will do the 100 meters with a time of 14.23. The 200 meters show B. Miller at 25.06 and Saller with a 29.02. The 400 meters should see C. Kempf with a time of 58.70 with L. Saller the number two runner at 1:02.32.

800 meters will have J. Purcell with a 2:02.41. Purcell also will be doing the 1600 at 4:26.16 and he will be doing the 3200 as well doing a 9:41.00.

The hurdles shoe no one for 2026.

Discus for 2026 shows L. Maynard with a 73' 04 with J. Kielmer the 2nd thrower. Shot put has Kielmer with a throw of 27' 00.25" and Maynard at 25' 06.50". Nothing showing in the High jump, long jump and pole vault.

Don't see any middle school boy coming in that could help right away.

Notre Dame will show some good spots in the distant events and the 4x800. Don't see them finishing any higher than 6th.

Oak Hill SOC-IV

Oak Hill came in 7th in the SOC with 44 points. Five seniors, A. Meldick, O. Connor, K. Nichael, W. Fowble and C. Chambers, combined for 33 points leaving Oak Hill just bringing only 11 points back for 2026.

The relay scored in three of four races for seven points. Six of those will return in 2026 leaving the rest of the 2026 team with five points. 4x200 1:44.50 5th place, A. Sirback, D. Honaker, W. Morgan, E. Connor, 4x400 3:56.21 took 8th, D. Honaker, S. Gentry, A. Rocha, E. Connor, 4x800 9:31.00 came in 7th, H. Rocha, K. Michael, S. Gentry, W. Fowble.

The 100 meters will see A. Connor with a time of 13.72. B. Ford has a 25.76 200 meters and D. Honaker will run the 400.

A. Rocha will do the 800 meters with a 2:14.96. D. Honaker will run the 1600 at 5:53.66 and it looks like both runners for the 3200 graduated.

Discus will have C. Dearth with a throw of 69' 07". N. Johnson will be the top guy in the shot put at 30' 02.75" followed by C. Dearth at 29' 04". The high jump, long jump and pole vault show nothing for 2026.

Coming up from the Middle School Sirback will be the person to watch in the hurdles.

Oak Hill will have too many events that will be hard for them to score. Could do well in the distant races and should score about 50% in the relays. I will put them in the 7th spot. With a little help they could jump to 6th.

Paint Valley-V

Paint Valley finished in 6th place in the SVC meet with 48 points. Seniors who graduated had scored 23.25 points between them, C. Bell, E just, J Immell and E. Smith leaving 24.75 points returning this spring. Only see one junior coming back who earned points last year, J. Price.

Paint Valley score in three relays earning 17 points. 4x100 47.08 4th place, A. Johnson, E. Smith, J. Hobbs, S. Lewis. 4x400 3:50.59 5th place, A. Johnson, J. Thompson, J. Price, J. Immell, 4x800 9:03.78 came in 2nd, J. Immell, J. Price, C. Elliott, J. Thompson. Should return 13 runners along with 8.50 points. The 4x200 showed a DNS.

The 100 meters will have A. Johnson back with a 12.39. The 200 meters will see J. Hobbs at 25.54 and I. Krivak with a time of 27.78 back. 400 has J. Price at 55.75 in the 400 and J. Thompson with a 1:01.99. The sprints show no points returning.

O. Martin will be back in the 800 2:21.33 and I. Krivak with a 2:31.58, 1600 should have to find a couple runners, The 3200 meters has C. Elliott coming back with a 11:24.93. 6 points could return here.

The 110 hurdles and the 300 hurdle show no runners coming back.

Long jump will have S. Lewis with a 19' 04.00". No other field event shows where points were earned in 2025 and are coming back. 6 points returning

Paint Valley will struggle this year. Just too many events where they will have trouble scoring. Even the events they score in just might be lower half points. With some help and some luck, they could pass Westfall for the 6th spot.

Peebles SHAC-IV

Peebles took the 2nd spot in the SHAC meet with a score of 137. Four seniors put together 56.50 points in the meet and juniors coming back scored 22.50. The 2026 team should have near 80.50 points returning.

Peebles ran in four relays gathering 34 points where 24.50 of the points return in the 2026 season. 12 runners should return. 4x100 46.33 took 1st place D. McCann, C, Meade, E. Gammon, R, Rayburn, 4x200 1:37.19 1st place, E. Gammon, D. McCann, C. Meade, W. Stepp, 4x400 3:46.90 came in third place, A. Arrasmith, C. Gross, B. McCann, C. Sims, 4x800 9:04.99 took 2nd place, C. Sims, A. Scott, G. Myers, C. Vogler. They average 8.5 for a finish in the relays

In the 100 meters both top runners graduated. The 200 meters had the same. The 400 meters show C. Gross coming back with a 56.77.

C. Sims comes back for the 800 at 2:10.02. Myers will also be back in the 1600 with a time of 5:03.17 C. Vogler at 5:16.13 will be the second runner. Myers continues into the 3200 with a time of 11:10.99 and Vogler will be the second runner again at 11:27.75. This group should return with 16 points.

110 hurdles will see E. Gammon with a hurdle time of 18.89 and B. Hawkins will be the 2nd hurdler. A. Arrasmith comes back in the 300 hurdles at 45.26 with L. Snyder will have a 51.22. Nine points return .

W. Smart shows a 41' 05.75" toss in the shot put. Smart also has a 112' 05" throw in the discus coming back and T. Bennington will also be in the discus. High Jump will have C. Meade at 5' 08" for the high jump and Arrasmith has a 5' 04' jump. Long jump will have E. Gammon with a leap of 19' 00" with W. Stepp at 17' 03" Peebles does not do the Pole Vault.31 points were earned in last year's meet.

Up coming from the middles school is H. Crum in the 800, C. Phillps in the long jump and W. Newman in the discus and shot put.

Piketon-

Piketon came in 4th in the SVC meet with 71 points. Three seniors scored 13.25 points L. Nettenberg, C. McGlone and M. Thacker. J. Copas looks to be the only junior coming back who earned points in the 2025 meet. Piketon should see 57.75 come back this spring.

Piketon took part in four relays scoring 13 points. 7.50 points should return in 2026 along with 12 runners. 4x100 46.32 came in 3rd. J. Johnson, M. Robinson, M. Thacker, J. Copas, 4x200 1:37.87 finished 4th, J. Johnson, M. Robinson, T. Shanks, McClone, 4x400 3:53.73 took the 8th spot, L. Nettenberg, N. Cooper, L.Penix, J. Johnson, 4x800 9:57.33 came in 8th B. Dixon, N. Cooper, L. Nettenberg, R. Frederick.

In the 100 meters J. Copas returns with a 11.29. The 200 will also have J. Copas 31.39, The 400 meters should see L. Penix at 59.11.

R. Frederick will do the 800 with a 2:36.42. 1600 meters will see B. Dixon with a 5:54.66 and a 6:46.03 from B. Sorenson. Do not see anything in the 3200 meters.

The hurdles will have two hurdles in I. Leslie with a 16.86 in the 110s and T. Shanks in the 300 at 45.29.

Long jump will have I. Leslie with a jump of 18' 01" and J. Johnson with a 17.90. Discus has J. Steele at 141' 04"and J. Scott with a 140' 08"

Shot put has M. Lamerson at 46' 06.75 and C. Salyer at 39' 04.25"

Don't see much coming up from the middle school

Piketon will struggle this year when they go into bigger meets. Just too many events they will have trouble scoring. In the sprints I don't see them getting a lot of points. In the hurdles they look like they are in the middle of the pack when it comes to the SVC. When it comes to the distant events, they are going to have trouble scoring. Out of the field event three will bring some good numbers. The relays will get points, but they will come from the lower half. I look for them to come in at the 5th spot. Just don't see them having enough to catch the 4th place team.

Portsmouth OVC-

Portsmouth finished in the 4th spot in the OVC meet with 68 points. Three seniors graduated and took 35 points with them. R. Click looks to be the only junior coming back who earned points in 2025. 33 points should be returning for Portsmouth.

Portsmouth placed in three of the four relays for 21 points. 10.50 points look to return in 2026. 4x100 43.76 1st place, Z. Froe, K. Johnson, L. Bradley and C. Heiland. Froe and Johnson should return in 2026. 4x200 1:31.23 1st place, Z. Froe, K. Johnson, L. Bradley, C. Heiland. Froe and Johnson are returning. 4x400 3:58.84 took the 8th spot, C. Stillwell, Fe. Poxes, Fr. Poxes, J. Tidd. Tidd is the only one that graduated. 4x800 did not start.

In the 100 meters both runners graduated. The same thing with the 200 meters. The 400 will have Fe. Poxes coming back at 57.71.

R. Click will be back in the 800 meters with a time of 1:57.71 (one of the best times in the SEO) The 1600 and 3200 show no one returning. Ten points will return here.

The hurdles will see J. Parker return. An 18.60 in the 110 and 43.67 for the 300 hurdles. 8 points return in the hurdles.

The long jump shows Fe. Poxes coming back at 19' 06". The shot put has J. Thurman returning with a 27' 04.75"

Keep an eye on J. Greene in the 100/400
M. Martin in the 100/300h
O. Graybell in the 800/1600
C. Clark 300h
M. Berry the High jump
A. Martinez in the discus and shot put

Looking for Portsmouth to drop off from last year. Portsmouth should do well in the sprints. The hurdles have a chance to be strong. Three of the four relays will bring points. The distant runners and the field events will be a thorn in their trying to finish above the 5th spot. If it is a bad day they could drop to 6th, and a better day could take them to 4th.

Ripley SHAC-

Ripley came in 9th in the SHAC meet for 2025 with 15 points. Looks like all points will return this spring.

Ripley entered 2 of the 4 relays earning 6 points. 4x100 48.81 4th place. 4x200 1:48.95 8th.

B. Scarbrough returns in the 100 meters with a time of 12.18 and Baldwin has a 12.22. The 200 meters shows Scarbrough back at 24.25 with I. Young with a 25.44. L. Mitchell at 59.96 will come back in the 400 meters.

M. Baldwin will return with a 2:25.15 for the 800 meters. Nothing showing in the 1600/3200

S. Coyle shows a 20.38 for the 110 hurdles with S. Cox at 49.20 for the 300 hurdles and S. Coyle has a 51.15 300 hurdles.

Long jump will have I. Young back with a leap of 16' 02" and S. Coyle at 15' 07". B. Scarbrough will bring back a 92' 06" discus throw along with G. Donahoo at 75' 08". G. Donohoo has a 32' 00.75" shot put and S. Coyle will have a 31' 08.75". High jump show nothing and the pole vault usually does not go in the SHSC.

Might want to watch upcoming Z. Thomas in the shot put.

Rock Hill OVC-IV

Rock Hill took the OVC title in 2025 with 152 points. 6 seniors scored 57.50 points. 4 juniors return with 39.50 points. Last year's sophomores and freshmen combined for 55 points so Rock Hill will have plenty returning in 2026.

Rock Hill scored in all the relays totaling 32 points and should have 24.50 coming back with 12 runners. Their average finish comes out to 2. 4x100 44.39 2nd place, returning runners are R. Barker, C. Lyons, 4x200 1:32.73 2nd place with 3 runners returning L. Pernestti, R. Barker, C. Lyons, 4x400 3:39.96 3rd place with three runners returning K. Davidson, B. Simpson, C. Lyons. 4x800 8:43.44 1st place and 4 runners returning C. Hannon, W. Knipp, R. Riddle, B. Simpson.

The 100 meters will have B. Kerns returning at 12.15, 200 had both runners' graduate, K. Davidson will have a time of 55.80 for the 400 meters.

W. Knipp shows a 2:12.56 in the 800 meters. The 1600 meters will have N. Snavely (one of the best times in SEO) 4:22.11 with the number 2 runner being B. Simpson with a 4:54.83. Once again with one of the best times in SEO Snavely has a 9:37.43 for the 3200 meters and R. Riddle has a 10:35.05. The distant runners come back with 35 points.

B. Murrell has a 16.57 in the 110 hurdles along with A. Workman at 17.15. Workman shows a 44.89 300 hurdle time with C. Lyons at 45.27. The hurdlers should come back with 22 points.

R. Barker shows a long jump of 21' 04.25", A. Medinger has a discus toss of 126' 08. The shot put shows Medinger in the shot put with a throw of 38' 06.50". Nothing in the high jump or pole vault. This group shows 11 points coming back.

People need to keep an eye on C. Moore in the high jump and G. Chamblee in the Discus.

Rock Hill will be strong again this year, but they did graduate enough to hurt. With a bad looking sprint team Rock Hill looks good in everything else. The distant and relays will carry them a long way. I think the graduation of the sprinters will affect the relays enough that it will have them slip down to the 2nd place finish. Rock Hill and Gallia are almost neck and neck, and it just might come down to the 4x400.

Southeastern SVC-IV

Southeastern finished in the 7th spot in the SVC meet with 45 points. 3 seniors, B. Dickson, G. Renison and G. Branham combined to score 25 points. J. Wireman will be the only junior coming back with 2025 points. This shows Southeastern could have 17 points returning with the 2026 team.

Southeastern competed in 4 relays and scored in all four totaling 18 points with 12.25 returning this spring. 4x100 47.15 placed 5th and will have B. Karshner, J. Wireman and D. Morgan coming back. 4x200 1:38.44 took 5th and should have B. Karshner, J. Wireman, D. Morgan returning. 4x400 3:49.51 4th place returning should be D. Morgan and C. Stepps. 4x800 9:23.82 came in 4th with C. McCoy, C. Stepp, L. Baxter coming back.

The 100 meters have B. Karshner coming back with a time of 12.37. The 200 meters show B. Karshner at 24.68 and L. Jones with a 27.03. J. Pinkerton will be back in the 400 meters with a time of 58.05.

C. Stepp will do the 800 with a 2:24.23 time. K. McCoy returns for the 1600 meters with 5:27.56 and E. Watterman shows a 6:33.14. Looks like both runners graduated from the 3200 meters

G. Ayers has a 21.67 time for the 110 hurdles with J. Wireman doing the 300 hurdles with a time of 46.55 with the number 2 runner being G. Ayers.

Shot put will see K. Sulphur with a throw of 36' 04.25" and W. Flowers at 34' 05.50". Long jump will have J. Pinkerton with a leap of 15' 03.00". In the discus both throwers graduated. The pole vault and high jump show nothing.

Don't see any MS person coming up that could step in right off.

Southeastern will struggle again this spring. Over half their events will be an uphill battle to score. It will shock me if they get out of the cellar.

Southern TVCH-V

Southern came in 6th with 26 points in the SOC meet. Didn't find any seniors that graduated with points earned in 2025. A. Chandler a senior to be should return in 2026 with 6 points.

keep an eye on D. Reider in the 800/1600 meters

Southern might have trouble scoring in half their events this year. Hurdles will be hurting along with the field events. Need to get some depth to put more into the relays. Southern will get the 5th spot. Don't think they have enough to sneak into 4th place.

South Gallia TVCH-V

South point took a big hit with graduation. Just about every category has had a drop off to where they might not score in six events. With some help coming up they could jump to the 7th spot.

South Webster SOC-V

South Webster came in 8th place in the SOC meet with 34 points. Didn't find where any senior scored points in 2025. One junior, B. Mantell, earned 25.50 points.

Trimble-V

Trimble finished third in the TVCH with 97 points. C. Davis looks to be the only senior last year to earn points in the TVCH meet (5). L. Orsborne is the only junior I found that will be coming back that scored points in the 2025 meet (15.50). Trimbles freshmen and sophomores scored 76.50 points.

Trimble participated in all four relays and scored in all four. They scored 22 points and 21 of those return in 2026. 4x100 47.04 2nd. returning D. Haning, B. Jajczyk, L. Orsborne, C. Burba, 4x200 1:37.35 3rd, coming back in 2026 C. Burba, D. Haning, L. Orsborne, B. Jajczyk, 4x400 4:01.14 4th, I. Mulford, S. Everett, B. Jajczyk, D. D. Walten will be in the discus with a throw of 114' 10" and M. Cable will be the 2nd thrower. Long jump will see B. Jajczyk at 17' 10.50 and M. Hogsett shows 16' 03.50". Walten will do the shot-put with a 41' 00.50" and M. Cable has a 36' 08.25" toss. High jump and the pole vault show nothing. 16 points came from here.

Don't see any help coming up from the MS.

Trimble will be another TVCH team that will be good this year. Trimble along with Federal Hocking could beat most of the TVCO this year. Trimble should get big points in the sprints, hurdles, they will get their share in the distant events. Better than average in the field events. The 400 and high jump needs someone to step up. I will go with Trimble in the number two spot. Now if they can get someone in the two events that I mentioned, and Federal Hocking slips a little Trimble could take the TVCH.

Unioto SVC-III

Unioto won the SVC meet with 172 points. Just found one senior who earned points in the 2025 meet. ( J. Rinehart. Six juniors, B. Travis, R. Thomas, B. Derringer, C. Caplinger, G. Tennant, T. Tuttle, combines for 51 points showing Unioto will return 163.50 points in 2026.

Unioto looks to be the favorite to win the 2026 SVC meet. Will probably have a higher score this season than last. Unioto looks SVC strong in just about all events. The discus seems to be their lowest event, and it looks like they might not score in that event. Will have too many events where they will have two boys earning points. The distant races seem to be their strongest but on the other hand the SVC doesn't look that good overall in the 800/1600/3200. Closest to them at the end just might be fifty points back.

Valley SOC-IV

Valley came in third in the SOC with 61 points. Three seniors graduated and took better than half those points with them, D. Smith, Z. Whitt and A. Waughtel. Juniors were not found where they scored points in the SOC meet. Looks like the 23 points that return came from last year's freshmen and sophomores.

Valley participated in four relays and scored in each one with a total of 19 points they will have 14 points returning. 4x100 47.64 5th place. Returning A. Aaron, G. Toller, J. Carver. 4x200 1:34.36 2nd place. Coming back in 2026 will be A. Aaron and G. Toller. 4x400 3:50.86 5th place B. Lewis, G. Toller, H. Spang, H. Burchett. The 4x800 9:21.00 came in 6th runners coming back are B. Lewis, H. Spang, B. Lewis, A. Burchett.

In the sprints the 100 meters will see A. Aaron coming back at 11.69 and M. Kuhn with a 13.07.
200 meters will have Aaron with a 24.21. The 400 meters shows Toller at 55.91.

B. Lewis will be returning with a time in the 800 of 2:13.68 along with Burchett at 2:16.51. Lewis will also do the 1600 meters returning with a 5:004.44 and T. Wilson should be back at 5:28.32. Wilson has a 13:09.00 3200 meters.

The hurdles don't show anyone coming back.

The field events should see B. Barnett in the discus with a throw of 122' 10". Barnett will be in the shot-put too with a toss of 46' 10". High jump had their jumper graduate, the long jump shows nothing. Valley doesn't do the pole vault.

Valley will struggle this season. Just too many events where they might not score. The hurdles don't show anything. Won't have a lot going with the field events. I would go with them finishing at number 4 and possible at 5th.

Vinton County-III

Vinton County came in 2nd in the TVCO with 111 points. Four boys scored a total of 45.5 points graduated H. Reynolds, C. Hayburn, B. Matteson and S. Boyd. Looks like three juniors, C. Lindner, S. Quackenbush and Z. Mulholland will bring back 27.50 points. That will leave 38 points going to freshmen and sophomores. Vinton County should have someone returning in all events but the 1600 meters where both runners graduated.

All relays were entered by Vinton County and scored in all four. They scored 24 points and 17.50 should return in 2026. 4x100 48.30 finished in the number 4 spot. Returners will be J. Thatcher, D. Blanton, L. Keeling, I. Gregory. 4x200 1:39.84 took 4th and returners should be J. Thatcher, D. Blanton, G. Jones. 4x400 3:42.76 came in 3rd and will return S. Quackenbush, Z. The hurdles will see C. Lindner with a 16.48 and he will also do the 300 hurdles with a time of 44.49. 4 points return here.

L. Keeling has a 5' 00: leap in the high jump. Mulholland will be in the long jump at 19' 08". Lindner is doing the pole vault 10' 00". F. Carte will be in the discus with an 82' 04'. T. Sheets has a throw of 34' 02" for the shot-put with the second thrower being B. Riddle at 33' 01.75". Should have 14 points retune for the field events.

Coming up from the MS will be D. Eli in the 100/200/300hurdles.

Vinton County should drop back to third place this year. High jump looks to be their worse event. Might be hard to score in the HJ. Discus. Speed will keep them down in the 4x100 and 4x200. Not likely VC will catch Nelson-York unless NY has a very bad day.

Warren TSL-II

Couldn't find the TSL meet so this is from the district. Warren won the Marietta district with 93 points. Looks like only five seniors. M. Francis, T. Frye T. Early, A. Strahler and H. Wells earned points from the 2025 meet (26.50). Four juniors G. Bennett, C. Perry, S. Rehl and E. Carr return with 35 points. The freshmen and sophomore collected 31.50 points.

Warren took part in four relays scoring in each one for a total of 27 points. After graduation that would have them returning 12.50 points. 4x100 43.96 5th place will return C. Perry and E. Carr. 4x200 1:33.96 5th place E. Lizon will be the only runner returning from the 4x200. 4x400 3:23.56 1st place K. Anthony and C. Perry will return. 4x800 7:57.56 2nd place K. Anthony and S. 110 hurdles show M. Werry at 16.00. C. Perry will show a 39.42 in the 300 hurdles with Werry at 40.89. 13 points will return in the hurdles.

Waverly came in second in the SOC meet with 110 points. Three boys, S. Billasono, B. Jones, M. Pollard combined for 21 points as seniors. Four juniors B. Osborne, M. Monroe, J. Miller, Z. Canter will be back where they earned 29 points. The freshmen and sophomores earned 60 points.

Osborne, L. Russell should return, 4x400 3:41.06 came in 2nd Z. Canter, G. Clifton, T. Perry should be coming back, 4x800 8:16.00 took 1st place J. Miller, G. Clifton, M. Monroe, Z. Canter return.

The sprints will have l. Russell back with a 11:24 100 meters, the 200 meters show Russell with a 22.89 and the 400 looks to have Z. Canter back with a 53.26. This group will bring back 17 points.

Rosenberger has a 39' 02.50" shot put with E. Martin at 36 '11.25", Pole vault looks like C. Jones and G. Davis.

D. Cooper is one to watch in the 400 this spring.

Waverly will take a shot at the top spot in the SOC this year. Biggest think in their way will be the long jump where they don't show much. Four events will show their depth. Going to be three events in the field where they will show they need depth. Relays are strong. I will go with them taking the 2nd spot with no chance of doing worse.

Washington FAC III

Washington took part in four relays and scored in all four with a total of 24 points. 4x100 43.93 1st place, 4x200 1:30.77 2nd place, 4x400 3:43.83 5th, 4x800 8:55.39 4th place.

coming up from the middle school will be D. Kinser in the hurdles.

Washington should compete for the conference championship if they can find a little help from the middle school and a few breaks during the meet. The discus will be the biggest event they will need to work on seeing they have no one coming back that could make the top eight. Each group of events should get plenty of points. The field events will bring the most points even with the weak discus. If I have to pick a finish, I would say it will be a fight with Hillsboro for second.

Waterford TVCH-V

Waterford came in 4th in the TVCH with 95 points. Three seniors, T. Gibson, J. Burke, C. Gilmore combined to earn 11 points in the 2025 meet. Only came across two juniors A. Adams and G. Offenberger with 2025 points and that was 9 points. That shows 75 points coming from the freshmen and sophomores.

Waterford scored points in all the relays (22) 4x100 49.17 4th R. Wolfe, J. Strauss, J. Malec, M. Gilmore should return, 4x200 1:42.09 5th J. Strauss, M. Antil, A. Franchino will return with a 5' 04' jump for the high jump and A. Wolfe has a 5' 00" jump. J. Francis shows a long jump of 17' 06.50" and J. Malec at 15' 01". Keep an eye on J. Jenks in the 400/LJ
L. Roberts in the HJ.

Waterford could score in every event this year. Waterford weakest event will be the sprints, but they will get points. With the other events Waterford will do very well. Going to say they will get third but with what they have they could very possibly catch Trimble and Federal Hocking. One DQ from the top two will put Waterford in the driver's seat.

Wellston TVCO-IV

Wellston came in 7th in the TVCO

They only participated in one relay 4x200 1:46.82 6th place J. Thompson, J. Clarkson, C. Logan, I. Unger

Nothing coming up in the hurdles.

The field event has D. Plummer in the Discus with a throw of 88' 10" and B. Fisher at 77' 07". Plummer shows a 32' 05" for the shot put and Fisher with a 26' 08.50" toss. Nothing showing in the HJ, LJ, PV.

Watch for J. McLin in the 100/200/300 hurdles.

Not much showing for Wellston this year. Last place looks like a lock in for the Rockets.

West SOC-IV

West came in 11th place in the SOC meet with 8 points.

West finished one relay 4x100 NO time, S. Simmons, J. Bays, M. Barnes, K. Salem 4x200 No time, M. Barnes, C. Middletown, K. Salem, S. Simmons, 4x400 3:59.67 9th place, C. Middletown, I. Bays, M. Barnes, K. Salem, 4x800 No Time or names.

The sprints came up with 8 points. 100 meters K. Salem 11.52 and S. Simmons, 200 meters Salem 23.51 and Middletown, 400 meters W. Ginn and Middletown.

W. Ginn will be in the 800 meters. D. Brickey will run the 1600 with a 6:03.43 and Brickey will be in the 3200 meters at 14:07.00

The hurdles show no one for the 110 with M. Barnes in the 300 with a 46.09 and the second hurdler will be K. Salem.

Field events show C. Middletown doing the high jump with the number two guy being Z. Evans, A. Ramsey with a 110' 10" in the discus along with C. White at 73' 04". Ramsey has a throw in the shot-put of 36' 08.50" and B. Slusher with a 34' 04.75. Didn't find anything in the long jump or pole vault.

Keep an eye on W. Radliff 100/200
M. Yazell 100/200
S. Staggs 400
M. Rosario HJ

West will do a lot better this year. Should score in around 10 events. Most point will come in the sprints, field and relays. Going to go with their finish at 8th. With some luck they could make it to the 6th spot.

Westfall SVC-III

Westfall came in 5th in the SVC meet with 63 points. Three seniors, J. Trapp, T. yates and B. Williams scored 33 points between them. 30 points should be returning for Westfall in this spring track.

Westfall placed in all four relays with a total of 24 points. Westfall will return 12.50 of the points along with 10 runners. 4x100 48.24 7th place, A. Daniels, Ly. Sparks, V. Gerlach, L. Sparks will return, 4x200 1:32.89 2nd, Q. Everly will be the only runner returning 4x400 3:28.95, was a new SVC record, placed 1st, Q. Everly only runner returning. 4x800 9:38.79 5th place D. Dick, R. Minor, D. Roberts will return.

V. Gerlach will return in the 100 meters with a time of 12.86, J. Sisson has a 13.32. M. Haughey shows a 200 meters time of 28.86 along with A.J. Paudicz at 29.32. The 400 had both runners' graduate.

Both runners graduated that ran the 800 last year. The 1600 meters should have R. Minor with a 5:25.34 and K. Maynard at 6:02.50. Didn't find anything on the 3200 meters.

The 110/300 hurdles will not anyone from last year return.

High jump should have La. Sparks return at 5' 08'. The long jump shows La. Sparks at 18' 11" and Ly. Sparks with a 18' 10". Pole vault will have A. Daniels at 8' 00". I. Bebb will do the discus with a throw of 81' 11". He will also do the shot put with a toss of 31' 02.50"

keep an eye on J. Thirtyacre coming up from the MS.

Westfall has about six events where their depth will hurt them. It looks like the relays might be their strongest area and the distant races might be the weakest. The 5th, 6th and 7th place team could have a battle to the end. I will go with Westfall taking the 6th spot.

West Union SHAC-IV

West Union finished in 7th place in the SHAC with 38 points. Found one runner, D. Davis, that graduated with points earned in the 2025 meet. One junior that earned points. Looks like they will return 35 points for 2026.

West Union ran in four relays and earned 12 points. 4x100 51.38 8th place, 4x200 1:46.19 6th place, 4x400 3:54.15 5th place, 4x800 10:03.94 took 5th. Team members not listed.

The sprints will have M. Demeza coming back with a time of 13.59 in the 100 meters and Q. Yeager has a time of 14.35, The 200 meters show T. Bales with a 28.58 time with M. Alverez at 30.42. A. Cooper will do the 400 coming back with a 55.42 and Alverez has a 1:09.48.

The 800 meters will have L. Caldwell at 2:15.61. M. Skinner shows a 6:55.22 1600 meters and Skinner will also do the 3200 with a 15:40.76.

The 110 hurdles had both runners graduate and nothing showing in the 300 hurdles.

J. Thompson has a jump of 5' 08" for the high jump. A. Daley shows 17' 00" in the long jump, B. Mills will bring an 88' 04" discus throw with Q. Yeager at 70' 10", Mills has a throw in the shot-put of 39' 07.75" with Yeager with a 26' 01.25" throw, West Union doesn't do the pole vault.

need to watch for these boys coming up from last year's middle school.
F. Watkins in the 400/HJ
E. Caldwell 110/300
B. Hall in the SP

West Union looks to be hurting this spring. Think they just have enough to keep them from the bottom spot in the SHAC meet.

Wheelersburg SOC-IV

Wheelersburg takes the SOC meet with 186 points. Four seniors L. Mullins, N. Fannin, E. Hochstetler, X. Mowery put together 41 points and that make a return of 145 points for 2026. Four juniors, C. Adkins, B. Evans, E. Brown, G. Weller come back who collected 70 points.

Wheelersburg ran four relays and won three and finished in the 2nd spot on the 4th scoring 38 points.
26 points should return in 2026 with 11 runners coming back. 4x100 43.20 1st C. Arthur, K. Whitt, K. Evans, C. Weller, 4x200 1:31.06 1st E. Brown, K. Whitt, 4x400 3:25.81 1st E. Brown, K. Whitt, 4x800 8:23.00 2nd M. Moose, C. Kallner, K. Whitt.

The sprints will have C. Weller doing the 100 meters with a time of 11.52. Weller will also be back for the 200 meters with a time of 22.77 along with K. Evans at 23.67. The runners in the 400 meters graduated.

In the 800 both runners have graduated. The 1600 shows G. Kallner at 4:51.89. Kallner will also run the 3200 meters with a time of 11:09.00

The hurdles show E. Brown at 15.86 and H. Henderson with 16.93. Brown has a 41.87 300 hurdle time with G. Vaughters at 44.02.

J. Doerr will do the high jumping along with K. Evans at 6' 02". K. Evans has a long jump of 20' 11.50" with J. Doerr at 20' 01.25", C. Adkins probably has the longest throw in the discus that covers most of Ohio 172' 08". I. Emmett is only about 15 feet back. Emmett put the shot-put at 56' 04' with Adkins at 43' 08". J. King has a pole vault of 11' 09" with 10' 00 from G. Wills.

Boys to watch in 2026
L. Witt 100/200/400
G. Woodward 400/HJ/LJ
M. Lauderback 800/1600
L. Chamberlin 110/300
A. Sullivan HJ
D. Thomas PV
C. Emmett DIS/SP

Wheelersburg will be one of the top teams in SEO this year. There will be 10 events where Burg will show just how good they are in the SOC. Might not be another team that has what they have in the field events. In the SOC meet I can see them scoring in the area of 80 points. The hurdles will be hard to match. Just too much depth for the other SOC schools. Wheelersburg takes the top spot.

Whiteoak SHAC-V

Whiteoak finished in the third spot in the SHAC meet with 77 points. Three seniors, L. Eyre and T. Wessner, A. Richards scored 36.50 points between them. That shows 42.50 points returning in 2026.

Whiteoak took part in four relays scoring in three for 20 points. Seniors scored 5.00 points allowing 15.00 to return. The following should be runners that will return in 2026. 4x100 XXXXX-G. Swingle, Z. Mitchell, K. Hughes, L. Flader. 4x200 1:44.68 4th place S. Cox, L. Flader, G. Swingle 4x400 3:47.61 4th place K. Hughes, S. Cox, T. Lamb. 4x800 8:53.66 1st K. Eyre, T. Lamb, S. Cox.

The sprints only show G. Ulery returning in 2026 with a time of 1:09.56 in the 400 meters.

S. Cox will be back with a 2:08.99 in the 800 meters. K. Eyre has a 4:59.91 in the 1600 meters and a 11:49.90 for the 3200 meters.

In the hurdles Whiteoak only shows T. Lamb in the 300 hurdles at 43.94 and S. Cox with a 49.46 also in the 300 hurdles.

K. Eyre has a 5' 02" high jump. Cox also has a 15' 11" long jump. Z. Mitchell shows an 88' 02" in the discus and K. Wells with an 87' 06" throw. Wells will do the shot-put with a 38' 09.50" toss and C. Richards shows a 34' 03: toss. SHAC doesn't do the pole vault.

G. Michael is the upcoming MS boy to watch in 2026.

Whiteoak will not put the numbers out there but with what they have a can see the taking the fifth spot in the SHAC meet in 2026.

Zane Trace SVC-IV

Zane Trace came in 2nd place in the SVC with 144 points. Three seniors, L. Morris, P. Dotson and A. Dunn scored 44 points leaving 100 points returning in 2026. Two juniors earned 15 points showing where the freshmen and sophomores earned 85 points.

Zane Trace ran all four relays getting points in each relay for a total of 30 points. 21 points will return in 2026.
4x100 44.58 2nd with A. Gigley, J. Higgins will return, 4x200 1:32.42 1st A. Gigley and L. Marshall will return. 4x400 3:41.55 3rd place with A. Payton, J. Jean, L. Marshall, H. Wiliams will be back. 4x800 9:04.95 3rd place A. Payton, J. Reed, L. Ewbanks, G. Renner are coming back.

The sprints were hit a little hard with both 100-meter runners graduated along with the 200 runners. The 400 should see L. Marshall return with a time of 54.85 along with A. Gigley at 59.43. This group will bring 6 points back.

A. Payton comes backs in the 800 with a time of 2:10.58 with G. Renner the other runner in the 800 at 2:14.59. Payton will be in the 1600 too at 5:08.43 and J. Reed shows a 5:29.41. J. Reed will run the 3200 meters with a 12:36.84 and K. Arthur will be the number two runner. These six runners bring 20 points back.

The hurdles should be in good shape with C. Houser with a 16.69 and U. Robbins at 19.63 for the 110 hurdles. In the 300 hurdles Houser has a 44.20 and H. Williams has a 45.73. 23 points return here.

B. Johnson comes back in the discus with a 131' 03" along with B. Bower at 122' 07". The long jump will have A. Gigley at 21' 10' in the long jump and J. Higgins shows 18' 08.50". B. Bower shows a shot-put throw of 47' 10.50" and B. Johnson has a 38' 02". H. Williams will be in the pole vault at 14' 05' that set a conference meet record. The field events have 30 points returning.

keep an eye on these three from the MS A. McClay in the 100, 200, HJ.
G. Burchett in the 110, 300 and HJ, C. McClaskey in the discus and shot put.

Zane Trace has a lot of talent, but they will have trouble in the 100 meters and the high jump. It looks like they could finish in the middle of the pack when it comes to the distant events. I see them finishing in the number two spot again.
