Congratulations to Fed Hock's Cory Vales - State Champion!!!

Post by Steely Dan »

With a personal best of 6'10" in the Division III High Jump, Cory becomes the first Federal Hocking Lancer to claim a state track and field championship.

Congratulations to Cory on his success and good luck to Emily Dunfee in the girl's 1600!!!!!!!!!

Wasn't Fed Hock's Ron Dunfee a state champ in the 2 mile in '74 or '75?

I was previously told that Ron did not win it all, but I'll verify. Of course, Ron's in Columbus supporting his daughter Emily. Would be very nice to see her do well in the 1600.

Congrats to Cory Vales in getting another area championship. I just wish he would have transfered to Warren for this year. ( I know, I'm greedy ) As for Ron Dunfee, if I remember correctly, I think he finished 2nd or 3rd one year in the 2 mile. His time was around 8:something.

See if this works:

If this works, it is one of the attempts at 7-0 1/2

I have a picture of the 6-10 jump too someplace.

Evidently, Ron Dunfee was the first Lancer to claim a state title, from what I've heard today. My bad, for sure.

Congrats to Cory and Emily for their accomplishments, and my old buddy Ron, for his crown, from a few years ago.....

Congrats Cory. I would have loved to see the look on dad's face. Bob and Rena should be very proud. I know your extended FH family and fans are.
