It was announced this evening that Stephanie Morgan ran and won the 1600 at the Penn Relays in 4:41.22. If correct that time, when certified by the OHSAA surpasses the 4:41.37 of Emily Infeld( 07 State Meet) as the all time Ohio record in the 1600, any school.

This afternoon in Bellaire for the AAA Championships Stephanie Morgan ran in and set four Meet Records. With the Meet still in jeopardy with St.Clairsville, Morgan ran a sub 58 4x4 anchor leg.

5:00.90 1600
2:13.10 800
11:35.29 3200
4:07.77 4x4

I put these times on this site for track fans that might attend the Pickerington Regional. Stephanie Morgan is not only one of the best female runners in Ohio but in the United States. If the Regional Meet is all that you might attend pay special attention to her.

It seems obvious that the D3 Eastern District will send some amazing girl individuals and teams to Pickerington Regional.

Bellaire St. Johns, defending State Champion is sending one of the very best, if not best ever. BSJ scored in every event on the track, except the 4x4.

4x8 1st. 10:00.4
100 Meters 1st 12.59 3rd 13.20
100 HH 2nd 15.18
4x2 1:44.10
1600 2 & 3 5:05.45, 5:26.35
4x1 1st 50.70
400 3rd 1:00.81
300 LH 2nd 45.37
800 2nd 2:21.60
200 1st 26.31
3200 1st 11:28.65
Discus 1st 128'03
LJ 1st 16'6.75
Shot 2nd 37'9.75

Although I believe that BSJ will win, Steubenville C.C. sends a super team(girls) in its own right.
100 H 1st 15.15
4x2 2nd 1:46.36
400 1st 58.60
300 LH 1st 44.84
200 3rd 26.79
4x4 2nd 4:08.10
HJ 1st 5'2

Arguably the best female runner in Ohio, any division Stephanie Morgan.

1600 1st. 4:47.13
800 1st 2:17.30
4x4 1st 4:05.68

After day one, imo BSJ looks to be in a little better position then might have been expected with 16 points. The 8 in the 4x4 was probably expected but not the 8 in the shot. This is the first all season Jenkins from BSJ as beaten Green from Bellaire.

Columbus School for Girls might but some heat on BSJ , but again imo there is not quite enough points. With the finals St. Johns will score in all track events, up to the 4x4 an event CSG has the best qualifing time.

If the final leg of the 4x4 is close, look for Morgan to win the event for Barnesville. A fresh Morgan can run a 56 anchor leg, maybe faster.

By looking at the qualifiers for Fri. CSG should pass S.C.C for second.

Just my opinion.

D-5, Your correct. If you go back to 2000( using that as a starting point) there are many State Champions(individuals) from this area, mostly girls. I believe the problem this regional area has is overall depth. After first and second the marks do really drop. When ever I read about taking the top 16 times and places in the State to the State Meet you know its this area of ours that they are talking about reducing.
