Warren has some first time seniors out that could be a factor.

Carter from Ironton could break the 800 this year. Cantley might try to top his record. If weather is good we could see a new 3200, wow what a year for distance this is going to be.

Carte should definitely break the 800 record this year, unless he were to get injured.

We had two guys off ironton 78 team (keith harvey-bobby williams) BOTH high jumped 6'8 that year, not sure if either jump was in league meet tho. keith and I went to state meet(me in 100,220). In the years Ironton was not in the seoal, they have had a few state champions and guys who placed pretty high, in the sprints especially. My guess most of the seoal records would have been beaten if they had been in the league in the late 80's and 90's. maybe someone could post School records for events. And, I thought Jimmy Morris won state in the long jump, or placed 2nd, could be wrong on that one. Also, Bruce Carter had our school record in the 100 YARD dash, 9.7 set in the seoal meet. I believe that it equates to 10.6 hundred meter, even tho it doesn't count that way, lol.

The best times and distances in the SEOAL were not always at the League meet. It would be nice to see the SEOAL school records for each event and/or the schools records at their track. (I know Ironton has records for their track because I've seen them posted on the back of the away bleachers) I also know that two records would probably be different if it had not been a downpouring of rain the day of the league meet.

I have know the weather, illness, and even people not allowed to run for different reasons that could have kept records from falling.
