Chillicothe
Chillicothe looks to be down this year. Don't see them doing much in the sprints. They will be down in the hurdles too. Outside the 800 Chillicothe looks strong in the distant races. Will struggle a bit in the shot put and the pole vault. The 4x100 and 4x200 looks a little weak. If I had to pick, I would have Chillicothe in the number fifth spot. With some help it shouldn't be a problem for them to take the third spot.
Hillsboro
Hillsboro should have no trouble in the sprints or hurdles. The distant races will be a big problem. The field events won't be very strong. With all four relays put together they will be a hair under average. Even with all that is said I will take Hillsboro to finish at number two in the conference meet. Don't see anyone sneaking up on them to knock them out of that number two spot.
Washington
Too many events that right now look down. Should do well in the sprints. The hurdles will be hard to get points in. Points will come in the distant events, but it will be below average. Washington will struggle in four of the field events. Most of the big points should come from the relays with a good chance to win two of them. Best I see here is the number three spot.
McClain
McClain looks to be in the same spot as Washington with too many events where they might not score. In the sprint the 200 meters might be the only event of the three where they will score. The 100 hurdles don't look bad, but the 300 does. Two of the distant races will struggle to score. Should do better than average in the field event with most of the points in those events coming from the shot put and the high jump. Three of the relays will do very good. McClain will probably finish in the basement, but there is a chance to move to the third spot if they can't bring in some help.
Miami Trace
Across the board this team will do well in most SEO meets. I see them scoring in every conference events. Sprints look strong. Hurdles will do well in about every meet. It wouldn't shock me if they put two girls in each distant events in the scoring column. Three of the field events should see two girls' place. Relays could be down a bit, but not enough to keep them from taking the FAC Championship.
Jackson Right off I can see Jackson finishing in third place. The sprints will be a struggle. The hurdles will come out with average points. Nothing much in the distant races. All five of the field events will gather points with the discus being the best. Relays will be a bit under average with earning points. Jackson doesn't do the pole vault, and it could hurt if they fall in other events. At this time, I don't see that happening.
Chesapeake
Chesapeake will be down in the sprints with a possibility of only scoring in one event. In the hurdles they will be about average scoring in both events. The distant events show the 3200 will be a little difficult to score in and they should place one runner in both the 800 and 1600 meters. In the field events it could be a bit hard to score in all five events. The scoring for the field events should be around 30% of the possible points. Chesapeake should be able to score in every relay with the scoring being lower half points. I will go with them taking the fourth spot in the OVC.
Dawson-Bryant
Dawson-Bryant will not show much in the sprints with scoring in only one event. They will have one girl place in both hurdles with those finishing in the top half of each event. The distant races should get points in all three races, but they will come from the bottom half of the finishers. Four of the five field events should show Dawson-Bryant with two girls placing in those events. Four of the relays should be able to bring point to the score book with the 4x800 being the top relay. Chesapeake should finish in the third spot. Don't want to let up or they could drop to fourth in the OVC.
Fairland
Fairland will have some trouble scoring in five events. Fairland will score in two of the three sprints with both being in the top four. Should have a good showing in the hurdles with scoring coming from the top four in both races. Two of the distant races will have a strong showing. The field events will not see much with a possibility of not scoring in four of them. Fairland will run in all four of the relays and scoring in all four. Look for only a 25% scoring in the relays. Fairland will finish in the number five spot with a chance to get in at fourth.
Gallia
Gallia should have a strong team this spring. Only see a couple of events where they might not score. No problem scoring in the sprint where Gallia should place two girls in all three races. The hurdles will bring some good points too. Also seeing a lot of points in the distant events. In the field events Gallia might have some trouble scoring in the throwing events. The other field event could make up for a poor showing in the other events. In the relays Gallia has a chance to win all four, but I will go with two. Second place looks like where they will finish. Only see them finishing less than a dozen point out of first and with that the top team better not have a bad day.
Ironton
Ironton won't score much in the sprints. The hurdles might go scoreless. In the distant events Ironton could score in double figures in two of them. The field events could have some problems with it looking like they might not score in two events. Should do better than average in the relays. I will go with a sixth-place finish. With some girls having a strong showing Ironton could pump up to the spot.
Portsmouth
Portsmouth will put up points in the three sprints. Hurdles will get their share. Distance might surprise me. Might have trouble scoring in two of the field events and other than the long jump it could be a problem. After the 4x100 Portsmouth will have some troubles getting points. Look for them to take the seventh spot.
Rock Hill
Not much can be said for Rock Hill. Just see points coming from the discus and shot put plus they should pick up points in the relays. Looks like the number eight spot for them.
South Point
South Point should be loaded this year. They do have a couple of weak spots in the 1600 meters and the long jump. In the sprints South point will put to girls in each event in the scoring book. The hurdles will manage double digit points. In the distant races the 800 and 3200 will get their share of points. Three of the five field events be scored in double figures. In the relays I can see them taking the 4x100/4x200 and getting near eleven points in the other two. South Point should take the top spot, but they better not have a let-down or get any DQs because Gallia would love to jump over them.
Adena
Adena should have a solid tea this spring. They should be able to put points up in every event. Four events could have two girls place in the top eight. The sprints will do very well. The hurdles look like to will get some strong points. Distant will get plenty of points. The field events will have no problem scoring big. just about all of the relays will be in the middle of the pack and should put them in position to take the number three spot. Adena will be one of three teams that will score more than 100 points. Don't see any team able to catch Adena for the third spot.
Huntington
Huntington looks like another team that should score in every event. Five events here should have two girls' place. Team looks to have some nice depth. Sprints will do okay. Hurdles will also put up some top points. Two of the distant races will show a lot of depth for Huntington. Each field event should put of a near seven points in an event. The relays will probably average nine point for every relay. Huntington will have no problem finishing in the second spot and a chance at the top if the top team chokes a little.
Paint Valley
This team could have around five events where they might go scoreless. The sprints and hurdles should earn a lot of points. The distant events and the field events will be where Paint Valley suffers the most. The relays should score most of their points from scoring at the middle of each event. I will go with them places in the fifth spot with a very good chance to make it to the fourth spot. If they faulter they could fall to the sixth spot.
Piketon
Pike shows there might be close to eight events they will have trouble scoring in. Very few points in the Sprints and hurdles. Distant and field will also have low scoring. The relays will be where the most points come from. I can see them scoring in every relay. I will put Piketon in the cellar for the SVC. They do have a chance to slip into the seventh spot.
Southeastern
Southeastern looks good in the sprints. Looks like they could score close to thirty points there. The hurdles look like a no show. Even the distant races will not do much. They should score in three of the five field events. With the showing in the sprints I thought they would do better than it shows in the relays. Will score in all four of the relays but not what I first thought. I can see Southeastern coming in fourth and that would be the highest. They could fall to fifth if there would be a blunder.
Unioto
Unioto will have another solid team that will compete very well in any surrounding meet. Their weakest events will be in the sprints and that really isn't that weak. In the hurdles Unioto should have two girls' place. For the distant events it looks like they could get five girls place in those three. As far has weakest event, I would go with the long jump where it could come up empty. The relays will be no problem for big points. Unioto will take the SVC as long as no major mishap. As it stands on paper they only win over the second-place finisher by six points.
Westfall
Westfall will probably have only one girl in the events where they score. The sprints have only one event where they will score. The three hundred hurdles look to be the strongest hurdle event. The distant events should all get points. Field events do not look very good. Relays will be their best events. Westfall should finish in the sixth spot with a very good chance for fifth.
Zane Trace
Just has too many events where they might not score in. Sprints do not look good at all. Hurdles will pick up points. They will get points from the distant events, but it will be a few. They should pick up points in three of the field events. Points will come from each relay, but they will be lower half. [/size][/b]
Amanda
Amanda is a nice team this spring. Looks like the 3200 meters will be their weakest event. Most of their events will just have one girl placing with maybe three events will have two girls coming in for points. The sprints will get points in all three events. Hurdles look strong. The distant events will get second half points. The discus and the shot-put look good but the rest of the field events are down. Three of the four relays should get lots of points. Amanda should take the third spot. Don't see them going any higher or lower.
Bloom Carroll
Bloom Carroll will be able to score a lot of points in the league meet. The sprints will be the strongest in the league. The hurdles look about average for the league. Distant events will get their share. High jump and long jump are very good where the rest will be lower half points. Relays should bring a ton of points. Bloom Carroll will take the second spot in the league. It will be a strong second with not going up or down.
Circleville
Circleville will struggle for 2026. Could be seven events where they will have trouble scoring. Average amount of points will come from the sprints. Hurdles and the distant races will be hard to get points. All field events will be bottom half points. Should score in all relays with bottom half points. They could get the fifth spot in the league meet.
Fairfield Union
This team looks like it will start off where it finished last season. Will have no problem scoring in every event when it comes to the league meet. Will have the second-best sprint team in the league. Will have four girls place in the hurdles. I can also see five girls placing in the distant events. The field events will also show Fairfield Unions depth over-all. Relays will be the second best in the meet. This team will have a chance to score two hundred points in the MSLB meet but they will need to be perfect, and I just don't think that will happen. Fairfield will finish in the top spot.
Hamilton
Hamilton will have four events where it will be hard to pick up points. The sprint team will be average. Hurdles will be getting their points. Hamilton will struggle in every field event but over all the points will be low. Relays will fall in the lower part of the league meet. I will go with a sixth-place finish with a very good chance to get to fifth.
Liberty Union
Liberty Union will score in a lot of the event, but the points will not be the big ones. Will score in every sprint events. Hurdles will score low. Two of the three distant events will struggle to score, but I'm saying they will get points in all three. Other than the discus Liberty just might not score in the rest of the field events. It looks like the relays will show better than you would think. Liberty Union will be finishing at the bottom in the MSLB meet.
Logan Elm
Logan Elm will need plenty of work in the sprints and hurdles. Distant races will finish very well. Logan Elm will score in all the field events with just one place in each event. Most of the relays will finish low with the 4x800 fighting for second. Logan Elm will take the fourth spot. The top three teams will score more than a hundred points, and I don't think Logan Elm can quite get there.
Eastern W.
Eastern will have a hard time scoring in eight events. Won't score too many points in the sprints. Should do okay in the hurdles. Distant will bring bottom half points. Field events don't show much. Should place in three of the four relays, but they will be lower half points. Eastern is in a place where up to four teams will be fighting for the same spot. They could finish anywhere between sixth and nineth.
Fairfield
Fairfield should score in every event with four events having two girls' place. The sprints will see them having some trouble in the 400 meters. The hurdles will be average. Distant races will be about the same as the hurdles. Field events look to be their strongest. Overall relays will be average too. Fairfield will be one of three team to have a chance at the SHAC championship.
Fayetteville
Fayetteville will put up a lot of points. They will get big points from the sprints and the hurdles. Some of the relays will earn some top points. The distant races will be average. It looks like the field events will slow them down. Shot put and high jump might not score. I will put Fayetteville in the second spot for now what when the smoke clears, they could be the champs of their conference, or they could fall back to the third spot.
Lynchburg
Too many events with a chance not to score will get to them. In the sprints the only event I see doing anything and that will be the 400 Meters. Nothing showing up in the hurdles. Plenty of points will be earned from the distant races. With the SHAC not holding the pole vault it looks like that would leave only two events where they might score. Points coming from the relays have some good signs. Going to put Lynchburg in the number five spot. Doesn't look like they could move from that spot.
Manchester
Manchester looks to be down a lot this year. Only see them scoring in about a half dozen events. A lot of might be that the numbers are down. They should get enough points to keep from finishing in the cellar.
North Adams
I see North Adams scoring in fifteen events. The sprints will be a very good category. Should do about average in the hurdles. Distant event will be down. Will get a lot of points in the field events. They will score in three of the relays and they could be top ones. North Adams should take the fourth spot with a good chance to take third.
Peebles
It will be a very difficult year for Peebles. After the field events I just don't see much at all. The bottom of the bunch is what I will say. Not think they can catch any other team.
Ripley
Only see six events where they might score. sprints will get them some points along with the hurdles. Long jump and some relays will about do it. Sixth is the best I can see.
West Union
West Union will do okay this year. Sprints look to bring some Points. The distant races look good. Three of the four field events look good. West Union has a good chance to win two of the relays. Third looks the place they will finish. If the top two team are not on their game West Union could catch both. It would have to be an eight to ten-point swing.
Whiteoak
Just too many events where they will not enter or score in. Only events I see them in are the 1600,3200 and the Discus. This should be enough to keep them out of the basement. It will not take the tenth-place team to score much more to past or tie them.
Alexander
Alexander should score in fifteen events. The other two are 1600 and pole vault. Sprints won't show much, but they will score. Hurdles don't look that bad. Distant will not earn too many points. Three of the field events will get big points. Relays will be better than half. I can see Alexander getting the second spot, but if they slip just a bit they will fall to third.
Athens
What can you not say about Athens this year. Are they that good or is the TVCO that weak. They could have two girls place in ten events. The sprints could have Athens' finishing first and second in all three events. The hurdles should see three girls' place. If teams were allowed to put as many as they could in an event the distant events for Athens could take the first six places in one or two races. If Athens has any weak spots, it would be the discus where they just might have a problem scoring. No problems in the other field events. Will not shock me if they take all the relays. In the TVCO meet Athens will score over 200 points to take the top spot.
Meigs
Meigs will get their points in the sprints along with the hurdles. Two of the distant events look good. Meigs will have trouble earning points in the field events. Three of the relays will compete for the top spot. Overall, I can see Meigs coming in third in the TVCO.
Nelson-York
Nelson-York might only score in half of the events. Very low number of points in the sprints. Don't see anything in the hurdles. The distant event will come up scoreless. Field events will get them some much needed points. Only see two relays scoring. Nelson-York should come in fifth in the TVCO. Don't see them doing any better or worse.
Vinton County
Vinton county will score in fifteen events with most scoring in the lower half. The sprints will not get them much. Hurdles will do well. Should score in three distant events. Lots of points coming in the field events. The four relays will get their point, but they might be under the top teams. Vinton County should come in fourth with not much of a chance going up or down.
Wellston
Too many events will be blank in the score book. The sprints, discus, shot put and two relays will be where the points come from. Wellston will be in the basement for the TVCO. Don't see them doing any better unless NY does a complete flop.
Belpre
Belpre will have a difficult time this tear. They might not score in the sprints. Hurdles will earn points with most of them coming in the 300 hurdles. The distant looks like it will earn points with no trouble. Don't see the field events scoring anything in all five events. The shorter relays will struggle to score. Looking for Belpre to take the number five spot.
Eastern R.
Eastern should do rather well this year. Sprints should score in all three events. The hurdles will probably not get on the board. The 800 meters might be the only distant events that will have anyone place. Four of the five field events will combine for a lot of points. The relays will be strong with a chance to win three of them. I will go with Eastern taking the number two spot. Don't think Eastern will have enough to move up to the top spot.
Federal Hocking
Federal Hocking will score in every event in the TVCH. Sprints could have two girls place in the 200/400. Hurdles look like they will have four girls' place. Distant won't be as strong as the other events, but they will score in all three. Three of the field events will have two girls' place. The relays will put up a lot of points with a chance to win three and a top half in the fourth. Federal Hocking will have no trouble winning the TVCH.
Trimble
Trimble with have trouble with depth in 2026. Two of the sprints will pick up points. The hurdles show nothing. Just one distant event looks good. Long jump looks like the only field event that will place. Trimble will take the sixth spot.
Waterford
Waterford will have four events where they might not score. Two of the three sprints will have girls' place. Hurdles will score a lot. Two of the distant events will get points. All five of the field events will have girls' place. Only the two long relays will earn point. Waterford will be a strong third place. No other team will catch them, and Waterford will not catch the second-place team.
Southern
Southern will have some good girls' just not enough to give them some depth. The sprints look like they will get their share of point. Hurdles will do good. Distant races do not look like they will add to the team points. They will score in three of the relays and come away with a fourth-place finish.
Green
Numbers are low and they will not participate in. They will earn points in the hurdles. The throwing events will have good points. Look for them to be in the 4x8. Green looks like they could finish in eight-place.
Minford
Minford should have a good team in 2026. The 800, shot put and the 4x800 will have some trouble scoring points. Should do well in the sprints and the hurdles look like they might get two girls to place. Should score in the distant events, but it will be few. Will score in four of the five field events. Will get descent points in three of the four relays.
Notre Dame
Notre Dame will also have low numbers. Out of the sprints the 400 should be the one they score in. In the distant races they should take first in those three. Will score in the long jump. Looks like they could score in two of the relays. They should score enough to get them sixth place. It might be possible to jump into the fifth spot.
Northwest
Northwest will get plenty of points, but they will have trouble in five or six events. Sprints will get points from two events. Hurdles will get a few. point in the distant events will come from the 1600/3200. High jump and long jump might be the only field events they score. Will pick up points in two of the relays. Going to put them in the number four spot. They look like a solid fourth so they shouldn't go up or down.
Oak Hill
Oak Hill will struggle this year. The sprints and the hurdles do not show much. Will have no problem scoring in the distant events. The field events should do well. I only see them scoring in the 4x800 in the relays. Even with this they could finish in the fifth spot.
Scioto
Scioto will be down in numbers and could only score in a few events. Sprints and relays will be their best events. See the coming in tenth place.
Valley
Valley should score in about eight events. Sprints will get their share of points. Only see them scoring in just one distant race. Discus and shot will bring points. Only see them scoring in two relays. Seventh looks to be the highest they will get and they should go any lower.
Waverly
Wherever Waverly goes this spring they will do very well. Only see a few low spots. They will do well in the sprints, hurdles, distant and relays. Only two field events look like they will get points in. Going with a second-place finish. Should go up or down.
West
West is also down in numbers. Don't see a lot of points here. Should come away in the ninth spot.
Wheelersburg
I can see Wheelersburg putting two girls in the scoring column in nine events. Everything looks strong all the way across the board. Going to be close to see if they can score two hundred points in the SOC meet.
