A look ahead for 2026 boys in SEO Part I

Post by noreply66 »

Adena SVC-IV

Adena came in third place in the SVC with 73 points. Three boys graduated with a total of 20 points M. Jackson, D. Wagner and B. Noble. Three juniors D. Warner, A. Fout and J. Francis will return after scoring 32.50 points in the 2025 conference meet. Adena should return 57 points for 2026. Fairfield could have 42.50 points return this coming season.

Adena participated in all four relays scoring a total of 8 points and should have 10 runners returning. 4x100 50.52 placed 8th and will return 2 runners. 4x200 1:43.80 finished in 7th place and should return 3 runners. 4x400 took the 7th spot and will return 2. 4x800 9:45.65 came in 6th and return 3.

Looks like the top two hurdlers graduated in the 110 and 300 hurdles. Those two earned 14 points.

The sprints earned 18 points in the 2025 meet and that runner should return in 2026. J. Francis scored all of those points.

In the distance Adena scored just 6 points and those will return. S. Bluck will return with 5 of those points and D. Warner will bring 1 point.

In the field events Adena scored 21 points with the Long Jump earning the most with J. Francis winning the event and F. Schoof earned 4 points 22' 01.50" and 19' 00.50". The discus should return C. Pauley and D. Warner 76' 05" and 71' 8". The high jump show no one returning. J. Nguyen and C. Pauley return in the shot put 35' 10" and 30' 11". The pole vault has the Fout boys returning with 3.5 points each with a vault of 9' 06".

Freshmen that might help right off.
K. Salyers 100m
P. Clever 1600
Z. Burns 200m, high jump
L. Sowers Discus , Shot Put

Adena looks like they will finish about the same place in 2026 as in 2025. The hurdles will be their weakest events with both hurdles graduating. Adena will need to stay focused, or Huntington could sneak up on them.

Alexander TVCO-IV

Alexander finished in 5th place in the TVCO meet with scoring 43 points. Four seniors I. Waller, A. Hall, S. Schooley and I Walker left with 6.5 points allowing 36.5 points returning for 2026. Two juniors, N. Graves and J. Roush return after scoring 22 points last year.

Alexander took part in all four relays scoring 17 points. They should return 8 runners for 2026. 4x100 48.54 with 2 returning finished in the 6th spot, 4x200 1:37.64 and should have 3 coming back took the 3rd spot, 4x400 3:48.18 looks to have 2 back after taking 5th place, 4x800 9:22.24 placed 3rd with 1 coming back.

The 110 hurdles will return one of the best hurdlers in SEO with a time of 15.61 and just has good in the 300h at 43.35. In the conference meet he earned 14 points with a 2nd and 3rd place.

The sprints should return with only one point earned in 2025. Both boys that ran in the sprints graduated. M. Meek will return in the 200 with S. Bertrum in the 400.

The distance lost both boys to graduation from the 800 L. Brooks 5:43.62 and W. Oliver will return in the 1600. The 3200 should have L. Zuchowski back with a 13:52.40 where he scores 2 points.

The field events will only return 6 points from those 5 events. A. Thompson 92' 11" and E Fernow 89' 02" will be back. High Jump returns B. Weber with a 4' 10" leap. Don't see much in the long jump. Pole vault could have Roush back and the Shot put has N. Graves back with 6 points with a throw of 40' 05"

Up coming freshmen to watch
B. Hendershot hurdles
L. Roberts hurdles and Pole vault
E. Arnold discus

Alexander should come in fifth place in 2026. The distant events look slim for points when it comes to the TVCO meet. The sprints should do a little better than the distant events as their points will come from the lower half. Field events will be where most of the points will come from. It will take a lot to happen for them to finish any higher than fifth.

Amanda MSLB-III

Amanda had four seniors with points from the 2025 meet graduate. These four totaled thirty-four points between them, P. Smith, C. Westhaven, R Marshall and C. Williams. Didn't see any juniors returning with points from 2025.

Amanda took part in all four relays where they scored seven points. 4x100 45.87 T. Stai, M. Jones, R. Marshall and M. Williams, three runners should return. They came in fourth place. 4x200 finished in seventh place with a time of 1:40.17 T. Spence, M. Jones, M. Williams and T. Stai. Looks like four runners should return. The 4x400 took the 6th spot with a time of 3:51.47 T. Spence, A. Gilman, M. Williams and R. Marshall with three coming back in 2026. 4x800 had a time of 9:10.14 that finished in fifth place G. Moore, A. Gilman, M. Plaugher, and B. Ritchie with all four returning for 2026.

The hurdles only came up with four points in 2025 and that was by M. Jones with a time of 17.15. Nothing showing for the 300 hurdles.

For the sprints it showed just two points earned in 2025. The 100m will have T. Stai 11.67 and P. Hill 12.21 returning. 200 meters earned the two points with T. Stai, 400 meters has M. Plaugher coming back with a time of 1:00.42 and a,1:03.07 from L. Lown.

The three distinct races did not score in the 2025 meet. 800 should see L. Stone with a 2:32.5 in 2026. The 1600 has G. Moore with a 5:01.44 and the 3200 shows G. Moore at 11:26.87 and B. Lowery at 11:49.50.

Field events show no points from 2025. High jump has D. Price with a leap of 4' 10", D. Price shows a jump of 17' 04.50" in the long jump, Pole vault shows nothing, C. McCoy shows a throw of 99' 04" for the discus. C. McCoy also has a toss of 38' 00.75" in the shot put.

Amanda lost some good boys to graduation. Look for them to struggle in six events. Three of the field events will be down along with the 400,800. 300 will be hurting some too. Picking them to be at the bottom for 2026.

Athens TVCO-II

Athens won the TVCO with a total of 201 points. They had seven boys graduate that totaled 107.5 points. P. Kinnard, A. Wotschka, L. Martin, S. Pelot, E. Crawl, L. Anglin and J. Burden. Five juniors will return who scored 55.50 points. That leaves 39.5 scored by the rest of the team. Probably will not come across a team that lost that many points in 2025 from graduation.

Athens took part in all four relays scoring a total of 38. Looks like they will return eight runners. 4x100 had a time of 44.12 to take first place and should return three boys. 4x200 ran a 1:32.43 to win the relay they should have two runners back. 4x400 had a time of 3:34.34 to get 10 points and the win, the Bulldogs lost all four runners to graduation. 4x800 came in 2nd with a time of 8:50.41 with three runners coming back.

The hurdles took a big hit with both runners graduating and taking 34 points with them.

Sprints will return 24 points mostly in the 100/200 with A. Sutton and T. Cunningham. The 400 lost both runners when they graduated. Sutton had a 11.00 100m and a 22.34 200m. Cunningham a freshman ran a 11.46 100m.

Distance should bring back 26 points and that will be in the 1600/3200. The 800 will have C. Parson with J. Szolosi and C. Swatzel in the 1600m. P. Koshal and D.Talbert will run in the 3200m

The field events will have 19 points coming back. The discus shows J. Irwin with a toss of 96' 06". The high jump doesn't show anyone. Shot put will have J. Irwin at 36' 03". Pole Vault has E Hatch at 9' 00" with L. Duguette the second man. A. Sutton has a leap of 20' 01.75 in the long jump and L. Free at 19 plus.

Freshmen to watch

E. Kraince 110 hurdles and the Pole Vault where he has a 10' 02" vault
E. Riddlebarger 1600/800
M. Burden 400 has a 58.91
T. Chase 800

Athens shouldn't have a problem defending the 2025 championship even though they lost a lot of their 2025 points to graduation. Athens should score in every event, but the points won't be as high. The hurdles will be the biggest difference from last year due to both hurdlers graduating. The discus, shot put and the high jump will hurt a little, but the pole vault and long jump should make up for it. Relays won't be as strong, but they will get their points. Don't look for Athens to do as well as they did last season when going outside their conference. If they are going to be at the Rocky Boots, we will find out a lot after it.

Belpre TVCH-V

Belpre took the number two spot in the TVCH meet with 114 points. Five seniors collected 53.50 points, B. McCullough, J. Miller, D. Rickman, A. Miller and C. Maze. One junior D. Lemon scored 11.50 points. Belpre should have 60.50 points returning for 2026.

Belpre took part in four relays and scored 30 points between them. 4x100 came in third place with a time of 48.73 D. Richman, C. Doebereiner, C. Maze and D. Lemon they should have three coming back, 4x200 took the number two spot at 1:37.00, D. Rickman, B. McDaniel, D. Lemone and A. Mullins with two coming back. The 4x400 finish in first with a time of 3:43.18, B. McDaniel, J. Kapple, I. Linscott and D. Haynes and all four should return. 4x800 came in third at 9:25.81, J. Miller, J. Kapple, H. Radcliff and C. Maze they will have two back.

The 110 hurdles have their top two gone with B. McDaniel returning in the 300 hurdles. McDaniel took third place in the 300h.

In the sprints Belpre only has four points returning in 2026 and that will be B. McDaniel in the 200 with a time of 24.33. C. See comes back for the 100m and D. Lemon 54.96 and C. Doebereiner 58.10 returns in the 400m.

In the distance J. Kapple 2:19.77 returns with two points in the 800. The 1600 has N. Garbo coming back with a time of 6:50.23 and in the 3200 P. Bolian shows a 12:33.56.

The field events look to have 13 points returning. The discus has 1 point coming back in N. Tipple 107' 08". M. Crum comes back with 1 point in the high jump. Long jump will see J. Hess at 15' 07.25 and C. Doebereiner with a 13' 10.00" with a total of 1 point. Shot put will have the top thrower back in the TVCH in N. Tipple with a throw of 44' 05.75" (10Pts). M. Parker will be the number two man with a throw of 37' 08.25".

Don't see much help coming up from the middles school this year.

Belpre will be an average team in the TVCH this year. They are going to be down in the 110 hurdles,1600 meters, long jump and the pole vault. The three distant events won't be point getters for Belpre. The relays might be their best events. Look for Belpre to take the 4th spot. Don't see them going any higher or lower.

Bloom Carroll-III

BC participated in all four relays and scored 21 points. Looks like they will have 15 runners back for 2026. 4x100 45.43 took 2nd place and will have 4 returning J. Reed, A. Johns, C. Allen, C. Butcher,4x200 1:36.37 placed 5th J. Reed, J. Moore, D. Joey and A. John, 4x400 3:46.88 finished in 5th place with four coming back J. Reed, J. Greene, C. Graves, AJ Daren, 4x800 9:04.99 came in 4th should return three runners E. Friedrich, L. Simpkins, J. Naess, AJ Daren.

100h 19.03 A. Sow. Sow will also do the 300h with a 48.61

800 meters will have AJ Daron with a time of 2:12.21 and E. Friedrich returns with a 2:15.69. The 1600 shows T. Gortner at 4:57.43. Gortner will also run the 3200 with a 10:43.99.

The field events outside the relays are where BC picked up good points. C. Drury picked up 6 points with his 46' 05.50" in the shot-put C. Thacker comes back with a 38'.00" throw. The discus shows Drury getting 2 points here with a toss of 125' 10. Pole Vault grabbed up 8 points from D. Knapp 12' 00" finishing at the 2nd spot also J. Nauss came away with 2 points with a result of 11' 00". Long Jump show A. John having a 18' 05.75" and F. Liberty at 15' 06.50" High jump came away with K. Kirkpatrick also coming back will be P. Malernee with 5' 04"

Four seniors graduated and took 15 points with them. Two Juniors will return that earned 4 points

Bloom Carroll is a team that should score in every event, but not a lot of top points. The 400 and the long jump will be their strongest events. I can see them taking the 4th spot with a possible 100 points.

Chesapeake OVC-IV

Chesapeake came in 5th in the OVC meet with 83 points. They had 4 seniors graduate with 51.50 points, D. Plantz, N. Preston, J. Harris and C. Burgess. Peak should have 31.5 points return for 2026.

Chesapeake ran in all four relays earning 11 points and should have 12 runners back. The 4x100 had a time of 47.31 placing 7th should have 3 runners back, A. Howard, C. Davis, N. Preston and L. Kerns, 4x200 ran a 1:36.95 for 7th places they should return three runners, N. Preston, L. Kerns, H. Isaacs, L. Davis. 4x400 came in 7th with a time of 3:47.86 and will have two back, J. Harris, D. Plantz, G. Graley, A. Isaacs. 4x800 finished in 5th place at 10:07.07 with four runner coming back, J. Preston, G, Graley, G. Collins W. Michael.

The hurdles lost 110/300 both of their runners to graduation.

The sprints were hit hard by graduation too. Only one runner out of six will return in 2026 and that is C. Davis in the 400 with a time of 58.51

Distance events should have all their runners coming back from a group that score 17 points. 800 G. Graley 2:14.22, J. Preston 2:25.36. 1600 will have G. Graley at 4:49.24 and I. Robinson who brought in 2pts. 3200 shows Graley coming back with a 10:46.26 and W. Michael at 10:48.09.

Field events have 25 points coming back for 2026. A. Chapman comes back in the shot put 36' 01.50". The discus has Chapman with a 130' 07 throw. A. Howard brings back a 5' 04" jump for the high jump. Howard also has a 19' 07" and L. Kerns shows 18' 07" in the long jump. L. Davis return after winning the OVC pole vault at 15' 03".

Watch for these freshman HJ J. Washington, Pole vault C. Secrest, U. Brumfield 110h, N. Dingus 1600 and Dingus in the 3200.

Chesapeake will probably finish a little lower than 2025. There will be near 10 events where Chesapeake will struggle. Mostly in the Sprints and Hurdles. They will also struggle in the relays. A chance to score in 13 events should keep them out of the cellar. Looking for them to finish in 6th place.

Chillicothe FAC-II

Chillicothe lost 28 points with three boys graduating, E. Adams, D. Hurff and V. Hitchens. Didn't see any juniors who earned points.

Chillicothe entered three relays that earned them 18 points. 4x100 45.50 took 4th place, 4x400 3:33.89 came in 3rd, 4x800 8:21.06 finished in the 2nd spot. Their average finish was third.

The 110 hurdles will have K. Pleasant 16.33 and K. Williams at 17.20. 300 should see Pleasant 42.26 and Williams 47.47.

Sprints will see C. Ligion 11.59 in the 100m, 200m 23.52. The 400 will have J. Beverly with a 49.17 and N. Bowling at 1:05.81. J. Beverly will be one of the best 400 in SEO for 2026.

The distance events will see J. Beverly with a 2:01.11 also will be one of the better 800 boys in SEO. P. Huggins has a time of 2:07.11. L. Wood will do the 1600 with a time of 4:51.23 and he will also be in the 3200 having a 10:25.50.

The field events have K. Williams with a High jump of 6' 01" with K. Pleasant at 5' 08'. C. Ligion will be back with a 20' 01.50 Long jump. Pole vault will have C. Hirschler at 11' 00". The McAllister boys will be doing the discus T. McAllister 143' 04" and J. McAllister at 136' 07". T. McAllister has a 47' 03" shot put and J. McAllister shows a 42' 11.25" throw.

Looking for Chillicothe to win the FAC with their strength in the distant races and field events. Chillicothe hasn't the room for mistakes. Hillsboro and Washington are too close behind. Between the three there is only a 10/15-point difference. An injury or DQ could make the difference here. Jackson, Miami Trace and McClain are too far back to get into the top three.

Watch these freshmen Harris in the 400 ay 58.27, S. Hurff with a 5:13.30 in the 1600, The high jump with L. Altenburger showing 5' 05", Altenburger will also have a 16' 03.00" long jump.

Circleville MSLB-III

Circleville had four boys graduate with a total of 11.75 points R. Edwards, J. Sorrell, I. Browning and C. Lee. Only see two juniors who scored in the MSLB meet will bring points into the 2026 meet C. Kellough and A. Travis.

Circleville competed in four relays average a 6.25 finish. They score a total of 11 points. Looks like they could return 14 runners. 4x100 47.76 5th place C. Kellough, J. Yancey, J. Kline, C. Lee should return 3, 4x200 1:38.68 6th place J. Browning, J. Yancey, J. Kline, S. Weaver should return 3, 4x400 3:56.85 finished in 7th S. Weaver, J. Perez, K. Ali, M. Nardi 4 should return, 4x800 9:48.75 7th place L. Cameron, K. Ali, M. Nardi, C. Willoughby four runners could return.

Circleville shows no runners for the 110 hurdles, C. Willoughby should return in 2026 with a 51.46 for the 300h.

In the sprints Circleville lost both runners in the 100m to graduation, S. Weaver will return in the 200m with a 24.81, Weaver will also bring back a 53.26 in the 400 along with J. Perez with a 58.44.

In the distance L. Cameron comes back at 2:29.80 with A. Groff with a 3:08.48. Cameron also comes back in the 1600 with a time of 5:05.80 and M. Nardi has a 5:23.37. J. Russell will compete in the 3200m.

In the field events Circleville brings back one of the best shot putters with A. Travis at 50' 11". L. Holloway has a 153.00" discus and L. McConnell shows a 112' 08' toss. A. Hunt will be in the high jump, the pole vault has C. Kellough with a 11' 06 vault. The long jump has P. Vanoorhis with a 15' 08.25" leap.

Clay SOC-V

Clay finished in the 13th spot in the SOC meet with four points. Didn't find any seniors with 2025 points. One junior N. Mosley should return after scoring 2 points last year.

The 110 hurdles will have I. George coming back. The 300h will see B. Miller with a 47.5 and I. George.

Sprints will have J. Brickey in 2026 with a 13.33 and George also there. 200 meters Shows A. Miller with a 25.53 and J. Brickey at 27.06. The 400 has J. Wang.
400 meters should have J. Jinkins with a time of 3:02.22 and P. Miller at 3:24.69. For the 1600 D. Shepherd has a 7:32.59 and P. Miller has a 7:39.27. In the 3200 meters D. Shepherd has a time of 16:43.00.

The field events show nothing in the high jump or the pole vault. Long jump has N. Mosley with a jump of 16' 06.50" and E. Bailey at 16:02.25". Shot Put will see J. Wang at 32' 03.75". Discus will have N. Mosley at 115' 06".

Don't see too much from the 2026 freshmen but this year's eight grade could send around five to the varsity for the 2027 season.

Dawson-Bryant OVC-IV

Dawson-Bryant tied for seventh with 51 points. Didn't find where any seniors graduated with points. Did find one junior who scored 9 points K. Murphy. All 51 points should return in 2026.

The hurdles will return two in the 300 K. Hall 47.54 and K. Shore 49.51. The 110 shows no one

In the sprints the 100 has K. Murphy at 11.09 and L. White returning. The 200 will also have K. Murphy. 400 shows C. Spears with a 58.21.

In the distance S. Hamm has a 1:58.61. T. Kelly in the 1600 shows a 6:09.58. Nothing showing in the 3200

The field events have J. Short at 42' 01.75 in the shot put with the number two man being A. Klaiber at 39' 06"
The discus will have H. Kingrey with a throw of 120' 05" and A. Bryant with 110' 05". K. Hall comes back with a high jump of 5' 04" K. Shore. B. Justice has a 15' 05.50 long jump. Pole vault has L. Roberts back at 10' 06" and L. McKnight.

Dawson-Bryant will need to fine some hurdlers with it being their weakest events. Relays could use a bit more help. Sprints, Distant and field events should be their strongest events. Dawson-Bryant looks to finish in a strong 4th place. A little bad moments shouldn't drop them and at the same time a little stronger performance will not move them up.

Eastern Bea. SOC-V

Eastern Finished in 5th place in the SOC meet with 51 points. Two seniors G. Cody and C. Salisbury combined for 17.25 points. Two juniors I. Weaver and B. Tomlison 14 between them. Should be 34.75 points returning in 2026.

The 2025 relays earned 22 points and will have 11 runners return for 2026. Their average placement in the relays was 3.5. 4x100 46.41 C. Salisbury, G. Peters, B. Brown and I. Weaver three should return. 4x200 1:35.61 C. Peters, I. Weaver, B. Brown, C. Salisbury 3 return. 4x400 3:45.30 G. Cody, I. Weaver, A. Fox, C. Salisbury 2 return, 4x800 8:59.00 G. Cody, D. Cody, S. The 800 will have D. Cody returning with a time of 2:12.41. Cody will also be running in the 1600 at 5:23.15. S. Jennings should run the 3200 with a time of 11:30.00.

The high jump will have I. Weaver with a jump of 5' 08", Long jump will have A. Lykins with 15' 00.25" and H. Compton at 13' 08.00", B. Tomlison will bring a 137' 03" in the Discus with B. Keller being the second boy, B. Tomlison comes back with a 47' 09" in the shot put with B. Keller at 35' 01.75". Pole vault doesn't participate.

Didn't see much coming in as freshmen.

Eastern R TVCH-

Eastern came out in second place in the TVCH with 92 points. Graduation hit Eastern hard with five boys combining for 65 points leaving 27 points returning in 2026, C. Barnett, M. Sheppard, C. Powell, T. Hill and B. Haught. Didn't see any junior who scored in last year's meet.

Eastern ran in only one relay and that was the 4x200 where they had a time of 1:41.03 and all four boys will not be back.

The hurdles, Sprints and distance have no listed coming back.

The field events only show one boy coming back and that is W. Sheppard in the discus at 112' 05"

Only one boy coming up from the middles school looks like he might be able to help right away and that is B. Short in the Discus/Shot Put.

Eastern R. will be a completely different team for 2026 after graduating a ton of points. Right off it looks like it will be difficult for them to score points this spring. Don't see them making it out of the basement.

Eastern W SHAC-IV

Eastern finished in 5th place in the SHAC with 71 points. They had two boys score 16 points between them T. Perkins, E. Beath. C. Bigger a junior scored 15 and will return.

Fairland will struggle again this year where they might not score in close to half the events. They should do okay in the sprints. The hurdles look good. Should do better than average in the relays. The distant races don't show much and most of the field events will be hard to get points in. Look for a 7th place finish. With some help from the 2025 MS, it is possible for them to move to a 6th place finish.

Federal Hocking TVCH-V

Federal Hocking Took first place in the TVCH with 117 points. T. Walker is the only senior who earned points in the 2025 TVCH meet (21). Three juniors I. Linscott, D. Haynes and B. Bray earned 58 points. This and 38 points from other returning boys should have 96 points returning for the 2026 season.

Federal Hocking participated in four relays gathering a total of 30 points. 25 of those will return in the spring whereas a team will return 14 runners. 4x100 46.12 took 1st place and should return three runners. 4x200 1:36.13 finished in 1st with 3 returning, 4x400 3:50.25 came in 2nd with 4 returning in 2026, 4x800 13:07.03 finished in 5th place and could return 4 runners.

Davis will do the Shot put too with a toss of 27' 00" M. Sisson brings a 26' 01" toss. In the Long jump D. Haynes shows a 19' 05' leap with G. Bray at 19' 01.50" leap. G. Bray comes back with a 6' 00" high jump followed by D. Haynes with a 5' 10" jump, I. Linscott shows a pole vault of 8' 06" with G. Bray also at 8' 06".

Keep an eye on W. Blower in the 400 and 1600

Federal Hocking will be strong this year. If they could find some distant runners, they could give a lot of team trouble. Their field events will be what beats other team. I can see them getting 50 or more points in some of their meets. Their hurdle teams look good. Federal Hocking should take the TVCH.

Gallia OVC-III

Gallia came in second place in the OVC with 112.5. Two seniors A. Rykowski and B. Simmons, collected 14.50 points with two juniors, T. King and C. Mock, earning 13. Gallia should have 98 points coming back in 2026.

Gallia entered four relays scoring 23 points and have 13 runners coming back in 2026. 4x100 48.21 finished in 8th place, C. Rodgers, A. Brown, C. Mock and E. Boys to watch as freshmen are 1600 K. Daniels, 100 meters E. Smith and L. Davis in the long jump, 200 and the 400.

This could be Gallia years. I can see them scoring a lot in four categories. The hurdles look to be the area where they will have some problems. In the sprints they have depth that will get plenty of points. The distant will get an average amount. The relays will get them their share of points. The field events will be Gallia's strongest area. The five events should carry them to a first-place finish. But one slip up or DQ could ruin it.

Glenwood SOC-V

Glenwood finished in 17th place in the SOC with 6 points. G. Dickerson was the only senior to graduated who earned points in the SOC meet. No junior was found who earned point in the SOC meet.

In the field events A. Jackson has a shot put throw of 39' 11". The high jump has two jumpers over 6' 00 returning for 2026 in L. King at 6' 04" and J. McBide at 6' 02'. E. Cook and L. Hill should do the pole vault. Both boys graduated in the Discus and Long jump. The boys coming back combined for 12 points last year.

Hillsboro-II

Hillsboro had Five seniors who combined for 56 points at the 2025 FAC meet. Five juniors will return in 2026 with 34 points they earned from 2025.

Hillsboro participated in four relays gathering 36 points. Their rating for finishing a relay game out to 9. 4x100 43.97 finished in the 2nd spot. 4x200 1:31.77 took the number two spot, 4x400 3:28.12 came in 1st, 4x800 finished in 1st with an 8:15.27

The 800 meters graduated both runners. the 1600 meters will have E. Inman at 4:57.69. 3200 meters should see C. Burkard with a time of 11:14.56. The distance earned 4 points in 2025.

Field events show the long jump with Swackhammer having a 19' 02.25" leap. The pole vault has J. Seaman at 10'. The discus will show G. Hawk with a 140' 11" throw along with J. Pitts at 136' 03". Shot put looks to have J. Pitts at 43' 05.50" and G. Hawk with 42' 01". The high jump had both boys' graduate.

I'm going to say Hillsboro comes in second in the FAC unless they make a big improvement in the field events and distant events. Hillsboro weakest events might be Chillicothe strongest. Hillsboro can win the conference, but it will depend on how Chillicothe performs. It could only take one mistake or bad event from Chillicothe to pull it off.

Only see T. Bender in the pole vault that could help the varsity

Huntington SVC-IV

Didn't find where Huntington had any seniors score in the 2025 SVC meet. Did come up with two juniors, E. Ward and K. Manson where they combined to score 11 points in the 2025 meet.

Huntington took part in four relays where they scored 11 points, and they averaged a 6.25 finish. 4x100 48.11 6th place, E. Ary, J. Yates, D. Nickels C. Parker, 4x200 1:40.93 6th place, C. Parker, J. Yates, E. Ward, T. Taylor. 4x400 3:51.87 6th place, C. Uhrig, K. Woodruff, J. Yates, T. Taylor, 4x800 9:46.35 took 7th place K. Woodruff, S. Moncla, J. Elder, C. Uhrig. From what I can find Huntington should have all their runners back for 2026.

The 110 hurdles will have C. Turner returning. E. Ward will be doing the 300 hurdles.

The 100/200/400 showed no one coming back.

C. Stritenberger return for the 800 with a time of 2:27.00 with C. Uhrig being the second boy with a time of 2:33.49. 1600 should have J. Elder at 5:46.06 and A. Neff with a time of 6:37.82. S. Moncla has a 12:37.52 along with J. Elder at 12:56.93 returning in the 3200. Last year the distance scored 5 points.

The field events look to have the most experience come back with K. Manson having a 137' 09 throw in the discus along with C. Kinzer at 105' 01". C. Parker returns with a leap of 18' 05" for the long jump and E. Ward has a 17' 10" leap. The high jump should see A. Breniser and E. Cox. Manson will bring back a throw of 43' 10" in the shot put and C. Kinzer with a 38' 07 toss. E. Ward shows a 9' 06 pole vault with A. Breniser in the second spot. The field events earned 18 points in 2025.

Keep an eye on B. Wilson as a freshman in the 400 meters

Huntington will probably take the 4th spot in the 2026 SVC meet. The 100 meters and the 400 meters will need some work. Right now, those two events might have them going scoreless. If the income freshmen can help and Adena slips a bit Huntington could finish in the 3rd spot.

Ironton OVC-IV

Ironton came in 5th place in the OVC meet for 2025 with 51.50 points. Found two boys M. Sly and M. Gleichouf with 10.25 points between them that graduated. Only see one junior, M. Wheeler with points coming back in 2026. The boys from Ironton should have 40 plus points returning this spring.

Ironton took part in three relays last year where they came away with 20 points. Out of the 12 runners they had last year 10 should be back. 4x100 45.77 4th place, D. Edens, Z. Dressell, A. Forest, J. Whaley 4 should return, 4x200 1:54.07 took 4th place, Z. Dressell, D. Edens, M. Sly. J. Whaley 3 could return, 4x400 3:38.01 finish in 1st place, M. Sly, J. Whaley, Z. Dressell, D. Edens. 4x800 did not participate.

110 hurdles will have A. Forest returning at 18.24. No one shows coming back in 2026 for the 300 hurdles. The hurdles show 3 points coming back.

100 meters Will have I. Turley back with a time of 12.34 with L. Wetzel the 2nd boy. 200 meters has Turley back at 25.50 and a 27.27 from M. Banks. 400 will see Turley at 1:06.52 and T. Spencer with a 1:06.57.

800 looks to have A. Lawson back with a time of 2:23.16 and a 2:27 from G. Payton.1600 meters have L. Duvendeck at 4:56.27 and A. Lawson with a 5:16.50. Duvendeck comes back in the 3200 with a time of 10:46.26. This bunch collected 10 points in 2025.

Field events look a little bare. Shot put will have M. Wheeler at 44' 03". The discus will also have Wheeler with a 131' 08'. Pole vault has J. Lambert at 10' 06'. The HJ and The LJ will have no one returning.

Freshman stepping in could be X. Henderson in the shot put and his buddy should be W. Easterling.

Ironton will show a much-improved team from 2025. They will have a nice sprint group. The hurdles, relays and distant will gather a lot of points. Their field events will be their most solid group. It would help if they came up with a good 800 runner and long jumper. Ironton looks like they could take the number three spot.

Jackson FAC-II

Jackson was in all four relays scoring 24 points. 4x100 45.20 finished in 3rd place, 4x200 1:32.29 took 4th, 4x400 3:28.92 came in 3rd place, 4x800 8:45.95 finished in 3rd place.

The 100 meters had both boys graduate, 200 meters had the same results. 400 meters will have C. Gillum with a 52.86.

800 Will see J. Bargen back with a 2:03.95 along with B. Newman at 2:13.63. In the 1600 W. Putney comes back with a 5:04.01. M. Malone should be back with a 11:40.68 in the 3200.

CJ. Crabtree has a 6' 00" high jump, G. Sites comes back with a 19' 03.25 long jump, A. Ruddle is back at 127' 10" for the discus with G. Leach with a 118' 02", Shot Put will have S. Taylor at 42' 05.75" and B. Evans with a 37' 10". Jackson does not do the pole vault

Jackson had 4 boys graduate that combined for 37 points and one junior scored 4 points.

Jackson lost a lot and will finish in the bottom three in the FAC meet. I will go with them edging out Miami Trace for fourth. Jackson finishing ahead of Miami Trace is just like Chillicothe taking the conference over Hillsboro and Washington they need to perform at their best to do it. It just might take someone from Jackson to pull a shocker out in one event. Not doing the pole vault could also make the difference. Even if Jackson has a great day, I don't see them breaking the top three.

In 2026 watch these boys as freshmen-G, Michael 1600
E. Taylor in the 110/300 hurdles
J. Johnson in the long jump
Discus has J. Gallagher

Liberty Union MSLB-

Liberty Union had six seniors score a total of 67.25 points in their league meet. Three juniors came in with 14 points. Seniors were A. Lortz, N. Shook, C. Hague, D. Savage, C. Strawser and C. Hinton. The juniors are C. Bergados, M. Harris and C. Meachem.

Liberty Union finished in three relays gathering 14 points and it looks if 9 runners will return. 4x200 1:36.08 took 4th place J. Banegas, D. Savage, Strawser, N. Shook, 4x400 3:36.77 3rd place C. Strawser, C. Meachem, C. Hinton and A. Robinson, 4x800 9:22.01 came in 6th, W. McCreery, C. Sponseller, X. Piper and D. Savage. 4x100 where they didn't finish, runners were M. Harris, C. Strawser, C. Walton and N. Shook. Two of those runners should return with the other 9.

In the sprints it looks Liberty Union will only return one point. 100 meters should have C. Wilson back with a time of 12.10. Both runners graduated from last year in the 200 meters. The 400 will have C. Maechem with a time of 54.33 and the only runner returning in 2026 with points. S. Kahler will be the 2nd runner in the 400 at 1:00.30.

Miami Trace will probably fall in the fifth spot in the FAC. Other than the hurdles they don't seem to be strong in any other events. The 3200 and the shot put are going to hurt them. Most of the other events are going to bring in lower half points. It will be a battle with Jackson to see which one could get fourth place. Jackson doesn't have the depth to make mistakes.

McClain FAC-III

McClain finished in the 6th spot in the FAC meet scoring 21 points. 7 to 10 boys graduated without scoring a point in the conference meet. 1 junior, R. Ruddle scored one point. McClain should return all points scored in the 2025 meet.

McClain took part in four relays and place in all four. They only collected five points and averaged a 5.75 finish. 4x100 46.47 5th place, 4x200 1:36.63 took the 6th spot, 4x400 came in 6th at 3:55.57. 4x800 finished in 6th with a 10:00.83. Didn't find a list of runners.

The sprints should have E. Eakins back with a 12.25 in the 100 meters along with N. Gundy with a 12.76. For the 200 meters G. Bishop has a 25.44. Nothing in the 400 meters.

The 800 had both boys' graduate. D. Stovall has a 5:35.76 in the 1600 meters and Stovall has a 3200 time of 12:16.59 with Z. Lyons the number 2 runner.

The hurdles had most of the boys' graduate with nothing showing for returners.

Pole vault should have Z. Knisley back at 9' 00", A. Ruddle has a throw in the discus of 124' 10" with A. Roeder being the second man at 100' 10", The shot put shows Ruddle at 40' 05.25" and L. Corey with a 39' 07.25". Nothing showing in the high jump or long job.

McClain just doesn't have the boys to get out of last place in the FAC. Going to be too many events where they won't be picking up points. Looks like the field events will be the category where they pick up most of their points.

Meigs TVCO-III

Meigs finish in second in the TVCO with 65 points. Two boys combed for 26 points that graduated A. Tobin and L. DeVees also two juniors will be back who scored 5 points. Meigs should return 49 points for the 2026 season.

Meigs entered two of the four relays to earn 16 points, 4x100 44.70 took 2nd place D. Tackett, L. DeWees, J. White and C. Hudson. 4x200 1:32.57 came in 2nd D. Tackett, J. White, L. Dewees and G. Hudson. looks like Meigs will return 6 runners and 12 points.

110 hurdles will see E. Hunt with a time of 20.50 and B. Blackburn. The 300 hurdles will have E. Hunt at 53.87. No points will return here.

G. Hudson comes back with a time of 1.27 in the 100 meters and J. White has a time of 11.59. The 200 meters has Hudson at 23.68 and Blackburn at 24.71. This group should return 14 points.

The 800 meters will have C. O'Neil return at 2:10.10 and C. Cole at 3:05.12. J. Stevens shows a 5:35.17 for the 1600. Stevens will also return in the 3200 with a time of 12:13.42. Two points will return here.

Z. Masom comes back in the Discus with a throw of 107' 00". High jump shows C. O'Neil back with a 5' 06" jump. The long jump has W. Mullins back at 18' 11.00" and D. Tackett at 15' 09.75". Z. Matson shows a 29' 02.50" throw for the shot put. Pole Vault shows nothing.

Two freshmen boys to watch will be G. Hill and R. Fowler.

Meigs lost some talent last season due to graduation. Looks like they might fall to 4th place. Don't see much out of them when it comes to the 1600 meters and the pole vault. 300 hurdles might give them some problems along with the three distant races. Don't see them falling any more than 4th or going any high.
