March to the top 2025 Girls

Post by noreply66 »

I have run over in the area of 60 teams, and I have picked 28 to be in a playoff. Twenty-eight numbers will be in the hat with two picked at a time to go up against each other.

First two teams will be Chillicothe vs West Union.

With most of the SHAC not doing the pole vault it was not among the events. The best events for Chillicothe looks to be the 100h, 100m, 1600m, 300h, 800m, 200m and the long jump. They could need some help in the discus and the shot put. When they do the pole vault looks like they could use a number two girl. The 3200 is a little weak also needs a number two girl. I see Chillicothe being near the top in the FAC.

West Union could do well in the discus and shot put against schools their size. Six of the events could use some depth. Their 400m girls are not too bad. Two of the four relays should score in most meets. In the field events West Union wins these. West Union is about the middle of the pack in the SHAC.

When I put these two against each other Chillicothe wins 12 of sixteen events with one tie and would win first and second in seven events. On the point system I used the score came out Chillicothe 158 West Union 110.

Chillicothe wins the Distance, Hurdles, Relays and Sprints with the field events being split.

Gallia vs River Valley

Gallia looks like they should have a good team this spring to compete in the OVC. These two split the seventeen-event meet seven to seven with three ties. Gallia came out stronger in winning their evens, 100h, Discus, 400m, High jump, 300h, shot put, pole vault with a score of 98/65. The teams game up even in the 100m,200m and the 3200m. Gallia needs some help in the 1600, 800 and the long jump.

River Valley looked strong in the 800. They could use some hurdlers and most of the field events with the long jump being their best. River Valley looked a little better in the relays than Gallia around six events look like there might be a depth problem.

This was a close meet at times between the OVC and TVC. My score in this one came out 176/128 Gallia.

The distance went to RV, Gallia took the field, hurdles went to Gallia, Relays went to RV and the sprints came out a tie with two ties and Gallia taking the 400.

Adena vs Minford

Adena sort of ran away with this meet winning twelve events and tying three while dropping two. Adena will compete very strong in the SVC. Their biggest wins came in the 100m, high jump, 300h and the 3200m. Those four events scored out to 58/14. The 400m and the discus look to be where Adena needs help.

In the two events that Minford won it scored out 26/12. Events where Minford need the most help is the 3200m. Five other events were hurt by depth.

Adena took the distance, field, Hurdles, Relays. The sprints were split. I had this one coming out for Adena 173/119

So far it is the FAC, SVC and the OVC with wins.

Eastern W vs Huntington

Through the first seven events Huntington had a four-point lead at 60/56. Eastern finished with winning nine events to outscore Huntington in those nine 114/44. In the events Huntington won they outscored Eastern 62/34. Biggest wins for Eastern where 100m, 400, high jump, 200m, 3200 and long jump. Top event for Huntington was 100h,

Looks like Eastern might need some work in the 100h. Huntington need work in the 3200, high jump. These events might be a depth problem. Eastern took the distance, field, sprints and Huntington took the hurdles and the relays. Final score here was Eastern Winning 158/116.

OVC, FAC, SVC SHAC with one win apiece.

Waverly vs Fairland

Only did sixteen events with most of the SOC not doing the pole vault. Waverly won eleven events with the 400, high jump, 200 and the 3200 being their best. These four events scored out in favor of Waverly 56/18. Waverly needs to get better output in the, shot put, pole vault and in the discus. Waverly won the distance, relays and the sprints that scored out to 108/58. Waverly should make a good showing in the SOC.

Fairland could only win three events 100h, Discus and the Shot put with the events scoring out 40/16. Fairland looks like they need to work on their high jump, 400 and the 3200. Fairland should finish near the middle of their conference. Look like most of Fairlands point will come from the field events.

Final score for these two came out 160/116 for Waverly.

SOC have joined the FAC, SVC, SHAC and the OVC with wins.

Waterford vs Fayetteville

Just sixteen events scored with Waterford winning 13. Seven events Waterford won look good outscoring Fayetteville 88/48. Water came away with winning the distance, field, and all four relays. Waterford good use some help in the 100h and the high jump. Both of those events need depth. Look for Waterford to win the Hocking and over all Athens might be the only TVC team that beats them.

For Fayetteville they won three events which scored out to 40/18. Depth is the main factor here. Relays, high jump, 300 hurdles and 3200 need help. Fayetteville should finish in the middle of the SHAC.

The sixteen-event meet scored out to 156/104 Waterford.

TVC joins the SHAC, OVC, FAC, SOC and the SVC with wins

Miami Trace vs Fort Frye

Miami Trace won eight events that scored out to 68/64.They also won the field events and the hurdles. Trave won five strong events to Fort Frye's five with it scoring out 68/64 in Trace's favor. Trace should be strong in the 300h, 100h, Discus, high jump and the long jump. Might need some help in the 4x800, 3200 and the 4x400.
Miami Trace should finish in the bottom three of the FAC.

Fort Frye won seven events and there were two events that came out a tie. Fort won the distance and the sprints. The relays came out a tie. Depth could be a small problem with them needing help in the 4x200, 4x100 and 300h. Fort should finish second in the TSL far back of Warren.

This was a close meet with team trading place about every four events. Final here with seventeen events scored was 148/144 Miami Trace.

Hillsboro vs Point Pleasant

Hillsboro had eight events that came out with strong points. Out of the eight events they out-scored Point Pleasant 108/36. Hillsboro won 12 of the seventeen events with one tie in there. Hillsboro won the distance events, hurdles, relays and sprints. Hillsboro could use some help in the discus, high jump, shot put and pole vault. Hillsboro has a great chance to win the FAC.

Point Pleasant had four strong events where they out score Hillsboro 55/23. Point Pleasant won the field events. They need big help in the relays, hurdles 1600 and the 3200. Point has some top girls throwing the discus and shot put. I would say Point Pleasant will not finish last in the TSC.

Final score here was 185/109 Hillsboro.

South Point vs Federal Hocking

South Point had four strong events over Federal Hocking, 100m, discus, shot put and the 200m. These events scored out to 54/26 South Point. South Point won ten events and tied four. South Point won the field, relays and the sprints. South Point will probably be favored to win the OVC. 4x800 looks to be their worst event.

Federal Hocking won three events 4x800, 1600 and the 800m. Fedeal Hocking had a good showing in most events. Discus, shot put looked to be the events they need help in. Federal Hocking came out on top of the distance, and they tied in the hurdles. Overall Federal Hocking could be the third best team in the TVC.

Final score was South Point 170 Federal Hocking 130.

FAC 3, OVC 2, SHAC 1, SOC 1, TVC 1, SVC 1 TSL 0

Unioto vs Dawson-Bryant

Unioto had eight strong events where they outscored Dawson-Bryant 98/44. They won twelve events all together. Unioto also won three groups of events distance, hurdles and the sprints. Unioto should be picked to win the SVC.

Dawson-Bryant won four events in outscoring Unioto 40/22. They didn't win any groups but did manage to tie two. Dawson-Bryant lost a lot from last year and could finish in third place in the OVC.

Final score was 184/116 in favor of Unioto.

FAC 3, SVC 2, OVC 2, SHAC 1, SOC1, TVC 1, TSL 0

McClain vs Fairfield

McClain had three strong events where they outscored Fairfield 42/16. They won a total of eight events. McClain also won the field and hurdle events. No pole vault was not scored. McClain should be picked for a third-place finish in the FAC.

Fairfield had two events where they performed well with a score of 28/04. Fairfield won seven events. The 200 came out a tie. Fairfield could very well be picked to win the SHAC.

Final score here was 134/130 McClain.

Wheelersburg vs Southeastern

Wheelersburg had six real strong events which they won 84/24. Burg won twelve events altogether. Also won the field events hurdles and relays. Wheelersburg should take the SOC championship this spring.

Southeastern just had one strong event and that was the 1600 where they won 14/06. They won three events with the score at 38/22. Southeastern took the discus and the shot put. I would go with Southeastern finishing third in the SVC.

Teams tied in the 400 meters and the 200m. Halfway through this meet it was 76/54 Burg, and the final came out 182/110 for Wheelersburg.

Athens vs North Adams

Pole vault wasn't an event SHAC doesn't do it. This was a sixteen event meet with Athens winning fourteen events. Athen had ten strong events with the score difference being 141/59. Athens won all five categories. Athens should be picked to win the TVC. Any team in SEO will have problems beating Athens in the 800,1600,3200, might even be difficult to get better than third against them. Even the 4x800 and hurdles will be a task out pointing them. The Discus is the only event that Athens might need help.

North Adams won just one event, and it was the discus. I can see North Adams getting third in the SHAC after graduating a lot of points. North Adams isn't that bad of a team Athens is just too strong. NA will do well in most meets.

There was one tie in the meet and that was the shot put. At the halfway point it was 86/50 and the final was 187/99.

Warren vs Notre Dame

Warren won sixteen events and all five categories. They had eight strong events that scored out to 112/32. If Warren could use some help, it would be in the 100m and shot put. Warren looks like the favorite in the TSL.

Even if Notre Dame didn't win an event, they still could have an overall finish in the SOC of third place. ND needs some big help in the discus and shot put. Also, they need to work on a 4x800 team.

At the midway of the meet, it was 84/38. Final was 200/82

Fairfield vs Notre Dame

Fairfield won thirteen events. They had four strong events where they scored out 56/12 over Notre Dame. Fairfield came out better here than against their first opponent when they went up against McClain.

Notre Dame falls again this time showing they do not have the depth. ND won three events scoring out to 34/22. Four events showed ND only had one girl in the event. Discus and shot put didn't put in. They didn't put anyone out one the 4x800.

At the midpoint it was 75/42 with the final being 154/94

Notre Dame.....42-52--94
Fairfield.........75-79--154

Fort Frye won eight events with five having a strong showing that outscored North Adams 70/30. Fort Frye needs work on both hurdles and the 4x200. Fort Frye took two categories the distance and the sprints.

North Adams won five events with the 300 hurdles being their best out scoring Fort Frye 14/04. At the halfway point North Adams lead 66/62.

Federal Hocking vs Point Pleasant

Federal Hocking won eleven events and four of the five categories. Four of the events they won were their strongest where the score was 56/10. Federal Hocking could use help in most of the field events.

Point Pleasant won four events with two of them being their best showing where they outscored FH 28/12. the 1600, 3200, 4x800 and the hurdles need lots of help.

The teams had ties in the 800 and the long jump. Final score was 168/106

Dawson Bryant vs Huntington

Dawson-Bryant won eleven events and three categories (Field, Relays and Sprints) They had six real strong events where they outscore Huntington 84/28. DB could use some help in the 300 and 800. This team lost a ton of points to graduation, but things are not bare.

Huntington won four events and performed well in the 300 and the 800 outscoring Dawson-Bryant 28/10. Huntington looks thin in the 400 and the 3200. They did win one category with the hurdles.
