Coach McKnight is a great Man and would lead that program back to greatness again ! Heās a quality tactition and I personally know this man to be a players coach !!
He has great interaction with all the kids he coaches and they all seem to love to play for him. With him being so young you would lose the experience factor but the kids would relate to him and play their guts out. He has assisted with several jr high teams the last several years and was a very knowledgeable player even as a young kid. His coaching style is strict and he is a very dedicated, hard working young man with aspiring goals. Something new and fresh. Didnāt McKnight have some issues at Fairview ky and fairland in the past ?
I think it works this wayā¦the School Board will be meeting this week and they will review all the applicants and decide which one or how many will be called for an interview and after their decision is made they will notify both the Principal and Athletic Director of their decision who the next coach will beā¦just my opinion on how the system will work in selecting a new Coachā¦

Lately, the hiring process at CG football defies logicā
This is the most important sports hire in CG history. A bad hire could spiral the grove down a murky chasm;they may never get out of.This will define the administration and board. Doing whatās best is not always whatās popular.
I donāt think It will be coach Lucas. Wellston has a lot of talent on this seasons team and, I canāt see him leaving that behind. Then again I could be wrong.
Does anyone know who is on the list to be interviewed or already been interviewed??? I heard Coach Lucas was asked to apply but wasnāt sure if that occurred. His dad built a great program up there and he may want to come home.
I donāt recall specifically what occurred at Fairview but it is the Superintendent of the schools that is responsible for determining whether a student can legally attend their school. It is that way in KY because fundin follows the student. It is up to the Athletic Director to determine the eligibility of the student to play sports. It is a stretch to suggest that any assistant coach is responsible for what occurred at Fairview.
Half Slice didnāt imply it was McKnight responsibility or had anything to do about the ineligible players. He just stated that McKnight may have been on that particular staff. Other posters are correct in saying this is an IMPORTANT hire for CG. A bad hire can really set them back a decade.
