Re: Officiating
Referees have the authority to remove any fan from the stands that is abusive. I don't understand why they don't use that authority more often. They have the right to stop the game, seek out the administrator and ask the administrator to resolve situations. Referees are not supposed to interact wit...

Re: Officiating
We can’t change it, we need the officials more than they care of need us. Our only hope is they change the system in which officials get assigned to matches. You can’t have grads from a school reffing all their critical home matches and not raise questions. It’s a local joke, but it’s quite true. Y...

Re: Officiating
I've said this for a long time. If you want to get younger people involved in officiating, we need 3 man crews. Much more likely to ease newbies in as an AR as opposed to the 2nd of a 2 man crew. And idiot fans/parents have to start being held accountable. Maybe start videoing the stands. Thats a g...

Re: Officiating
parents are the reason, end of story. If you have a kid in the 6-10 age range right now, there will be ZERO refs by the time they are in HS. The average age is probably 50 and why would anyone want to deal with parents? At my kids games (HS), parents for all teams are absolutely nuts with zero accou...

Jacob Wells will probably apply as well. Ed Fry? Maybe Speed at Fairland would be interested in a change of scenery. Corey Allison? Heard a few days back that Speed (Fairland) is leaving for a West Virginia coaching job.* STEVENS, The assistant at Ironton has the head coach. BUT IS BEST OF THE WORS...

Re: 2023 Season
I heard a rumor that Clay did not have enough kids and might cancel soccer this season. I hope that is just a rumor and those kids get to play this year. They never do, i just dont understand why some of these schools dont combine. Its best for the kids. Clay, NB and East could be the size of the o...

I like the idea, but no way it would happen unless the soccer game is finished 1:30 before the football game starts. Football is used to having a very long drawn out warm up

Re: 2023 OHSAA State Boys Basketball Tournament Attendance Numbers...Down From 2022
Had you just counted the actual fans from the Lutheran East-Harvest Prep game it would have probably been around 200. When is the OH$AA going to realize no one is going to come and watch these private school all-star teams?? Then throw in Richmond heights which from the sound of it has become a glo...

Looks you had Green and NA a little underrated buddy. Lol … 8 of my top 10 made it to the Convo … I personally feel good about it considering THIS season is probably one where parity is a word that comes to mind … parity in that on any given night a lower ranked team can/could beat a higher ranked ...

Re: #2 South Point vs #4 North Adams
I am anxious to see how NA comes out early after having a big, emotional win against Minford on Sunday. On the flip side, I want to see how SP tries to defend Copas. Same for South Point as i think everyone thought Minford was the favorite to make it to the regional final. Easy to let off the gas i...

Re: SOVC
Looks pretty good but I just cant get on board with different conferences for each sport. This is not something the OVC does. I do think a combination of school size, typical CB numbers and historical prestige should all factor in. I say scrap your football set up nd use the basketball one for all s...

Re: Boys Southeast District Soccer Schedules/Scores 2022
What’s score at Northwest vs. Minford? Saw on Facebook that the refs made all fans leave??? Is this true? I heard the same and Minford won 2-1 Thanks for the update. And wow, sounds like this game was out of control. Goes to show why we need more experienced officials. A lot of these newer/green on...
