Meghan Lee had 11 and Brittney Strawser had 9 and 12 rebounds off the the bench. Grace Nelson had 6 points and 8 rebounds for Athens. Chillicothe outrebounded Athens 39-25.

Dan Dosecks 7th grade squad was lead in scoring by Skylar Schwarzel's 12 points. Ron Ricketts' 8th grade team got 14 points from Devon Sharpe and 10 points from Nick Stanley as 8 players scored.

I wonder if this whole leaving the SEOAL to improve all athletic programs at AHS will eventually return Athens to the SEOAL? I doubt it. Especially since the SEOAL is so spread out and the TVC is so compact in size. Plus, I would be willing to bet that there are hard feelings from some in the SEOAL...

As it was stated in an earlier post, Athens played with 4 for only 7 seconds. Pfaffs shot to tie came from just beyond the 3 pont circle. What hurt was not having Witten on the floor to take the shot.

The Athens American Legion Post 21 and the Athens Athletic boosters are providing much of the funding for the field renovation. Stop by and see the field if you have time. We still need to water it and then roll it, but you can see the improvement already.

The sod is on the field and the pop-up system will be working by tomorrow. We have already received the uniforms. They are sweet! We will be moving the scoreboard poles this fall and we will get our new Daktronics scoreboard in the spring.

Hickory Valley Sod and Albany Nursery have combined to give us new sod on the field and a pop-up irrigation system at Rannow Field.
