N-Y defeated Athens 36-6 on Tuesday, October 16th. The Buckeyes lead 8-6 at halftime before pulling away. The game can be seen on Nelsonville TV Cable on Wednesday.

Athens beats Wellston in 3 games. Sets up big game with Alex on Thursday. Go Bulldogs! Sure nice to have the Buckeyes rooting for us!

Athens won 25-16, 26-24, and 25-13. Emma Stanley had 17 kills for Athens. Caitlin Owings had 10 kills for Vinton County.

I believe Athensr overall record is 12-4 and 5-1 in the TVC Ohio.

Athens defeated Jackson 25-15, 25-18, 25-7 in a non-league contest.

Joey Burrow of Athens. He was 21-23 for 275 yards and 4 TD's in 2 1/2 quarters in the 67-14 win over Waverly. He has thrown for 1373 yds in 5 games, completing 85-124 passes and has rushed for 427 yds. He is a sophomore.

Athens plays Vinton County, Nelsonville-York and Alexander at home the second half. Trips to Meigs and Wellston. Should go right down to the wire.

Athens defeated Alexander @ Alex on Thursday evening, 23-25, 25-16, 28-26, 17-25 & 15-12. Athens, Alexander and N-Y are now tied for 1st at 4-1 in the TVC Ohio.

Athens girls defeated Fairfield Union 3-0 on Tuesday. Ameena Huq scored twice and Brooke Kemerer scored once.

Athens defeated Vinton County @ Vinton County, winning 26-24, 17-25, 25-14, 25-17. The nAthens Jv squad won 25-13, 25-11.

Athens got their TVC Ohio league schedule off to a good start with a 25-20, 25-11, 25-17 win over Meigs.

Burrow of Athens gets my vote! Hit 5 different receivers. Lost forty yards on sacks or he would rushed for 148 yards. Great arm and sees the field well.

Athens is now 3-1 in the 8th District tournament after beating Meigs 8-2, losing to Pickerington 25-5, but then beating Logan 11-0 in 7 innings and then beating Gallipolis 13-10. The play the loser of Pickerington/Lancaster at 6:30 on Tuesday. Athens can do no worse than third.

The Juniors lost 2-1 and 3-0 to Pickerington in the Champioship games. The young Post 21 team held their own against a very good Pickerington team.

Tyler Vickers got the win over Gallipolis, 4-2 and Chris Reimer went the distance to beat Pickerington, 7-6 in the winner's bracket final. They play tomorrow at 2:30 pm at Beavers Field in Lancaster with a chance to win the district. A loss will force them to come back Sunday at 11 pm.
