Re: With days of SEOAL numbered, Jackson looking for new lea
I think Jackson and Warren's only realistic option is the TVC. A three divisions of six teams set-up would be ideal, but the TVC seems to be determined to make life as difficult as possible for the remaining SEOAL members. I'm not sure if it is just them being petty and spiteful or if it is out of a...

Re: What's next for the SEOAL?
There is some truth to the fact that schools in this area avoid competition. All one has to do is look at the MVL which is directly north of the TVC and SEOAL. Tri-Valley and Sheridan which are two of the largest schools have dominated the conference in football for years, but I never seem to hear a...

Re: Gallipolis reportedly headed to OVC
The SEOAL minus Logan(who should be in the MSL) and the TVC Ohio should have combined to form a 10 team 2 division league a few years ago. Jackson Athens Warren Vinton County Gallia Academy Meigs Wellston River Valley Alexander Nelsonville York I can't see how this wouldn't have been a win win for e...

Re: Wk10 Athens (9-0 5-0) @ Nelsonville-York (7-2 5-0)
Athens will come back down to earth after the OU kids graduate, but make no mistake, they are still going to be a problem for the schools in the TVC year in and year out. A school like Athens can field an average athletic team and still have the ability to finish at or near the top in every sport in...

Re: Week 9 River Valley @ Athens
Athens beats any team in southeastern Ohio this year fairly easy. I don't think that is up for debate. However, I do think if they were still playing in the SEOAL they would have at least gotten some resistance from Jackson and been competing against schools their own size.

Maybe that is what I was thinking. It's been a while.questionmark wrote:In reverse, Maxwell was an Athens boy who went to Ohio U. That is the connection. Very similar to Roush from Meigs going to Ohio U. Same connection.Prince of Darkness wrote:I could be mistaken, but wasn't Kaheim Maxwell a product of the OU/Athens connection as well?

Re: Week 6: Athens (5-0) @ Steubenville (4-1)
After this group of seniors graduate, Athens will go back to being mediocre again until OU has another turnover in the coaching staff. That's the way it's always been. Regardless, they will still have more than enough most years to dominate the TVC schools. Much respect to Burrow though. He is by fa...

Re: Wk2 Gallia academy(0-1) vs Chesapeake(0-1)
Coaches say the biggest chance for improvement comes between game 1 and 2... The team that improves the most will probably win this game.. People need to get over coach Eddy. He was 2-8 his first year and probably should have been 0-10... His first game against Athens was a disaster, thought it was...

In all honesty, the vacancy in the SOC II should have been filled by Portsmouth.

Fairland, Chesapeake, Coal Grove, South Point, Rock Hill Meigs, Wellston, Nelsonville York, Vinton County, Alexander There isn't a whole lot of difference in competition between the schools listed. If you are looking at the big two sports, Nelsonville probably has the most consistently good footbal...

Re: 2014 River Valley Raiders Schedule (First year in the TV
Should've added Northwest years ago. I know that's easier said than done. Good pick up for 2 programs who have struggled in years past. Way too early to even give a guess but I don't see how life in the TVC will be better than the OVC. Excluding Athens, I'd say the competition will be about the sam...

Re: Grove City Christian 96, Manchester 20
I don't think anyone is being a bad apple, I just think that in fairness to Grove City Christian we should keep our facts straight. They scored their last touchdown of the first half with over five minutes to play, and #28 had only one carry for the 60 yard touchdown with about eight or nine minutes...
