Re: WEEK 6: Oak Hill (4-1) @ Sciotoville East (3-2)

This is based on East's typical supporters in the past when seasons are not looking good. And, honestly it doesn't look good down the stretch as any football fan could see... I hope not--- I hope they win out and win the SOC I Title! Then, fans will start packing the stands again! And, in the past,...

Re: WEEK 6: Oak Hill (4-1) @ Sciotoville East (3-2)

The fan support has been quite good for East so far this season. How could you possibly comment on the crowds at the East games when you haven't been to one? Perception of a lack of support on a sports forum doesn't reflect actual support in the real world. Also, you've repeatedly bashed the AD over...

Agreed, but nice job of adding your own touch of class by taking a shot at people from an impoverished and crime riddled area. Not too different from some neighborhoods in New Boston...

Re: Eastern Pike(16-5) vs East(9-12) District Semi 3-8

Eastern is too well-rounded to lose this game on this stage at this point in the season. They're the co-league champs for a reason and are battle tested....just for this time of the year. Isn't East the only team left in the SE District with a losing record? Maybe SV too now that I think. Anyway, th...

Re: Division IV Lucasville Valley and Meigs County sectional

BasketballFan1, you are correct with Clay. The made it to the District Finals in 07 and have not won a tournament game since. East actually made it to the Districts in 08 and 09.

Swanker, don't you have a bridge to guard somewhere?

Re: Division IV Lucasville Valley and Meigs County sectional

BasketballFan1, I don't think Clay has made any District appearances since. I think East has made a few though. Ironman92, The SHL has dominated the sectional, particularly in the last 5 years. Before that there was some more balance. Manchester has been on a nice run since about 08, as has Fairfiel...

Re: Division IV Lucasville Valley and Meigs County sectional

Your comment about the TVC at least representing well in the tournament ( I guess compared to the SOC) is also humoring. With a few of those teams mentioned, I guess making one or two Convo appearances in the last decade is considered representing well.

Re: Division IV Lucasville Valley and Meigs County sectional

Ironman92, you not only wasted 15 minutes of your life, but the rest of ours reading it as well. Also, some of your "facts" are off. Many of the SOC I schools have made district finals appearances in the past decade. Also to suggest that Eastern Pike and Symmes Valley from the other sectio...

Eaglesnest, actually East has won 2 sectional titles in the last 4 years. So, they have been to the Convo twice.

Re: Division IV Southeast District Tournament teams/records

Sparky, I too believe Whiteoak recieved all the 1st place votes in 03. Not the argument. You and Ironman can check the 03 bracket from ohsaa.org, 4 shl teams plus western (1st year in soc) and I believe there was an SOC team who helped put it to Green that year as well. 6 votes there by my count. I ...

Re: Division IV Southeast District Tournament teams/records

Ironman, I was referring to more than one team, not just Whiteoak. You think other SHL teams didn't benefit? Thanks for the stroll down memory lane though. Oh, if you haven't heard...life's not fair. For those of you who think the district board would be better suited to administer over this more di...

Re: district tournament at Valley

Only two get out.......Webster will be playing an SHL team to go to District. Manchester will be playing a little old SOC I school in the other Sectional final. Do you think that Manchester, Whiteoak, Fairfield would rather play a little SOC I school for a Sectional title, or each other? Do your hom...

Re: Division IV Southeast District Tournament teams/records

No, they haven't had majority but they have worked together in some years. I think in 02-03 they schemed together quite well with help from Western (who voted pro SHL since they still had more ties to the SHL, it was Western's first year in the SOC). So, yeah, I think so. You think the SHL coaches d...

Re: district tournament at Valley

Like I said in another thread, the SHL has put the screws to the SOC before in the past. Manchester just hasn't been has cooperative lately from what I've been told. The whining is quite sad. If the all-powerful SHL schools are as good as they believe (clearly prepared from the superior strength of ...

Re: Division IV Southeast District Tournament teams/records

Ironman and chitwood give me a break. There have been years where the shl teams have voted together and given soc schools the shaft, just not recently. A big reason for that has been Manchester, who I believe has helped cast deciding votes in getting Whiteoak and Fairfield in the 4 vs. 5 slot the la...

Re: Top four seeds for DlV tornament play?

Looks solid Ironman92. Will be a couple of nice battles to see which two come out. While those three SHL team's records aren't real impressive they will be battle tested and each have a nice win or two on their resume.

Re: South Webster @ Northwest 1/26

If NW can slow down the pace of the game and find ways to get Leslie the ball their chances of winning greatly improve. It would also aid their cause if SW is unable to stretch them with the 3 ball. SW's guard are really good at getting into the lane, and even better when they're knocking down outsi...

Re: Portsmouth Daily Times...Commits Another Foul

kahn, How does that change the fact that there were no reporters to cover the East/N.B. game? A game that produced the the only boys sectional winner for the entire county. If the coaches hadn't called the game in then there would have been no mention at all. What other sports stories were covered t...
