Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio - Week #5
It was Sciotoville that Eastern beat in the 2004 District Finals in OT. Cozart did not play that season for Eastern.

Monday 2-12 Makeup Games?
What games are scheduled to be played tonight? I thought there were several makeups planned. I'm sure the weather/school closings may impact some of those decisions now.

Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio Week #3
Symmes Valley is 2-3. They have wins against South Gallia, and Notre Dame (both winless). I would think they are a little high on the list. Still early and a lot of settling to take place. Also think Western, with 1 win (against Symmes Valley) is a little bit high.

Re: Division 4 Sectional at Northwest
Perhaps the teams were seeded exactly where they should be. Judging by the scores between teams in this sectional I believe the coaches nailed it. Seemed like there was a lot more SHAC vs SOC matches this year to help each side gauge as well. I think this is as down as I can remember the SHAC collec...

Axe, you're still coming off like the scorned ex-lover. You maintain no objectivity and therefore have no credibility on nearly any topic you talk about. The posters on this forum don't consider you a source of legitimate knowledge, but you are the source of much laughter. There are so many things w...

Re: Div IV Seeding predictions
cobbtown, A few of those matchups between the schools were the 4-5 game. I still don't see how you can reward a "battle tested" team with a top 3 seed when they're hovering around .500 and that has happened to Fairfield a few times. As I said earlier, Fairfield under a previos coach played...

Re: Div IV Seeding predictions
Based on what lightle04? East won the most recent matchup between the two. East also has the better record. I believe they are currently at 8-7. What is Western, 6-10? I also believe East has the more impressive victories. They have beaten Notre Dame at ND, Ironton St. Joe at Ironton, and South Webs...

Re: Div IV Seeding predictions
cobbtown, the SHAC coaches have not been innocent in the past about sticking it to their fellow SHAC coaches. Manchester and Fairfield have both certainly played "the game" in recent years past. They, like the other coaches are doing only what the system allows. All the teams want the best...

Re: Boys D4 Valley/Meigs
East is actually at 7-7 following their overtime victory at St. Joe tonight. I think the Tartans have been playing themselves into contention for a 4-6 seed. A huge makeup game with Clay right before the draw will certainly be a deciding factor.

The Sciotoville East Tartans defeated the Ironton St. Joseph Flyers tonight in overtime 64-62. The game was played at Ironton. Pfloyd this puts the Tartans at 7-7 on the season, you were missing a victory.

Re: Valley D-4 sectional
Thanks for the information. I was not knocking the SHAC at all, it's a very good bball league. I think it is fair to say though, that it's not as good as it has been over the past 5-10 years. Peebles is good, but not as good as they were with Seaman and Justice. North Adams is a far from where Dave ...

Re: Valley D-4 sectional
How tough was the SHL this year? I certainly don't think it was as good top to bottom as it has been. Outside of Eastern Brown and possibly Peebles I'm not sured the league will get a win at the district level. Strength of schedule should play a factor in the seedings, but to what degree? Are we goi...

Re: Notre Dame @ Portsmouth East 1-22-13
ND pressed and played aggressive half court man, while East played a lot of zone and man late. You're going to be called for more fouls playing that way. It's a risk you take, and one the generally works out for ND. Also, the big kid for East got touches, he's tough to stop and not foul. Throw in Cr...

Re: Valley D-4 sectional
So, by your logic Tartan Territory is worth about 35 points? East played poorly against SW and got waxed. I'm watching Miami mop up Duke by 30 now.... Sometimes good teams get smacked. The 2nd time around they played better and SW played poorly at the start. The coaches vote, and it is often politic...

Re: Oak Hill @ South Webster 1/22 *updates tonight*
At the end of the day the best teams will advance.....regardless of seeding, the games are played on the court. South Webster's record/schedule speaks for itself. They certainly benefit from playing in the SOC II, and I agree with a lot of what Crab's brother said. I still think ND is better. Webste...
