Just heard that Tyler Swackhammer got the job by a vote of 3-2. He was the only name up for the position by the A.D. and Super.

Good luck to him and whoever his staff may be they will do a good job. He will make the kids work, they just do not get handed a position has to be earned!!

There is the first board meeting of the school year Tuesday the 10th and I believe the vote will take place during that meeting with Mr. Kight's pick.

anna alan (ramey) is going to be announced Tuesday as Jackson new basketball coach. Was the 8th grade coach last year and has been a asst. the previous 2 a good fit for the program. Young, knows the girls very well what they are capable of and what they need to do to improve.

I don't believe Howard can coach and be the super at the same time. It goes along with the other rule no school no practice. A Jackson rule only.

From what I hear I don't think Howard would do it although he would be a good choice. Need someone who will stay a while and build the program and he just bought a house and moved into town after getting a new 5 year contract as super. I heard that they have about 36 kids for both varsity and jv this year. Numbers means battles for position should be a better start to the year. Kids will have to earn their spots and have other kids chasing them all year long. Signs of a good program. Numbers have gone up the last two years.

good game for 3 quarters.
