Re: Week 12: OSU vs. PSU
It was Bollman's last home game, regardless of staff next year! I typically stay out of OSU and college football stuff, everyone knows I'm a HS football fanatic, that is where my passion lies. That being said, as a long-time supporter of tOSU, and a Buckeye fan for more than 40 years, the dismissal...

Re: DV R19 Final: Bucyrus Wynford vs. Lucasville Valley
Looking at the D5 statewide bracket, it appears that Wynford is the only one of the final 4 that has really been tested in tight games so far. Hicksville had a slugfest with Benton, but Kirtland and Coldwater have each enjoyed lopsided wins in all three games. Here's a peek ... Wynford 33, Smithvill...

Re: Scout.com reports Meyer, OSU agree to deal.
I'm originally from Tampa, Fla., but have called SE Ohio home since 1994. Married an Ohio farm girl. Currently live in Zanesville. I enjoy the smalltown life now. Close enough to Columbus and Cleveland to enjoy what they offer. Cincy's a little longer haul; good weekend trip. Plane ride from Tampa. ...

Re: 2012 Logan Chieftains - A look ahead
Totally agree on Newark (Nerk). Watched Zanesville roll them up in Week 1. Some good individual talent in spots, but no depth at all. MaxPreps only showing 22 kids on the Northland roster for 2011. That can't be correct for a D2 school, can it??? I guess it could, but that seems odd to me for a scho...

Re: Scout.com reports Meyer, OSU agree to deal.
Yeah. Vegas is on my list of places out west to see. Farthest west I've been to date is Texas, Oklahoma, Nebraska and Kansas. Dallas-Ft. Worth is cool. Tulsa's a nice town. Went there for the NAIA men's basketball championships years ago. Only stopped for gas in Nebraska and Kansas. Lots of corn and...

Re: Scout.com reports Meyer, OSU agree to deal.
I have a buddy who's been to Vegas probably a dozen times or so. He loses a lot of money, but gets most of his meals comped, so I guess it evens out (a little). My brother-in-law has been to a couple of conferences there and said each time the package included one free buffet for each day of his sta...

Re: Wilmington College Drops Wrestling!
Seems Wilmington is not alone in this. wch125, any idea when the other schools that don't have wrestling dropped their programs? I vaguely remember Marietta doing this a few years back, but I can't remember exactly how it's been. Here's some interesting numbers for the schools that still have wrestl...

I'm surprised -- and a little disappointed to be honest -- that Trimble folk haven't hijacked this thread yet.
They must getting soft.
Good luck to Southern in 2011-2012!

Re: Penn State - O'Reilly Speaks
This is a Penn State fan saying this: JoePa more or less threw himself under the bus by not following up on the situation and making sure it was reported to the proper authorities. I hate it that JoePa's career had to end in this fashion, but he didn't help himself or the alleged victims.

Re: Penn State - O'Reilly Speaks
If it does turn out that Sandusky is innocent of the allegations against him in this case, could he receive a fair trial given the fact that he has already been tried and convicted in the media and the court of public opinion? We still have to remember that despite how guilty a person may appear, th...

Re: Penn State - O'Reilly Speaks
This trial will be a circus, to say the least. The dog and pony show that Sandusky and his lawyer put on during the interview with Costas on Monday was ludicrous. I heard commentators on Fox and CNN state that they believe that the interview was done to lay the groundwork for a counterattack by Sand...

Re: DV R19 Final: Bucyrus Wynford vs. Lucasville Valley
Flip a coin on this one. After looking at both teams' schedules and doing a little research, I can't see where one side played a markedly stronger slate than the other this year. Wynford's sked includes two fewer losing teams than Valley's, but those two ballclubs each have .500 records. The common ...
