Re: Are biddy leagues making seasons too long

In my opinion it's alot better than having the kids laying in front of a TV eating twinkies, drinking soda and playing video games.

Why did Webster have 2 players that were over the age limit?? Was the cut off date not known?

Re: Trevon Pendleton....best Running back in the area?

All the backs mentioned are very good....no doubt. It should be an honor to any of these boys to even be mentioned. I think if they all stay healthy they will all lead their team to a great year, and rush for alot of yards. As far as the rankings go (Pendleton being rated at #2) I believe Pendleton ...

Re: scioto county peewee football

I believe the Outlaws have had a team in the league for 5 years, and have been in the superbowl all 5 years.........and won 4 of them. So I definately wouldn't count them out.

Re: Little League Tournament

The State Tournament was also held in our district (Ironton) last year and the dates were not changed. Why change the tournament to July 15th?? This would have meant the girls wouldn't be playing for at least a month. Also, what if it would have rained all week? That wouldn't have left any time to g...

Re: Little League Tournament

This is an absolute joke!! How can the district, and its president make such a big mistake? You would think they would know when the state tournament was before now!! The District tournament should have never been scheduled for the week of the 15th in the first place!!! Now you are going to have tea...

Re: Green Football

I believe Green has only went to the playoffs twice in the school's histort. He was the coach of both of those teams. He must be able to coach a little bit. Also, that's when only 4 teams from each region made it.....and they won the first round game both years.

Re: Lewis County Youth Basketball Tourney

I have been to several youth tournament in the last couple of months, and the officiating has been about the same at all of them.............below average. As a parent or coach you have to realize that for the most part you aren't going to get great officiating at these youth tournaments. If you are...

Re: Portsmouth kept out of SOC again.

I think having SG on the ballot as well kept them from getting in. I don't believe the smaller schools want to travel to SG.

Re: SOC denies Portsmouth, South Gallia

I bet that if the votes were made public, you would see that all of the SOC II schools voted for the two, and all of the SOC I schools voted against it. A few of the bigger schools play them already, and who wouldn't want to get to play in PHS new facilities every year. The smaller schools are the o...

Re: SOC denies Portsmouth, South Gallia

I don't understand this at all. The two divisions don't even compete against each other. I don't see why it would make a difference if one division had 20 teams, and the other had 5.

Re: SOC denies Portsmouth, South Gallia

Did SG and Portsmouth go on the same ballot.....................if so, why? I feel portsmouth has a greater chance of getting in if they were voted on by themselves. SG is a long distance to travel for all of the other SOC I schools.

Re: DATECHANGE YouthClassic tourn.Feb23-march1boys&girls4th.-6th

I'm not from Rock Hill either, and that was one of the rudest questions ever. If you're that concerned about the $100 don't play. Did you expect to get to play in the tournament for free?

Re: Wheelersburg Pirates 2009 Season

I heard from a very reliable source that St. Henry has contacted Wheelersburg about playing in week 4. Don't think Burg is interested though. They wanted Burg to go there, and Burg only has 4 home games scheduled.

Re: Who are the fav's for SOC I and II ?

Burg lost their #1 (Baker) and catcher (Blanton). They return pretty much everyone else. Should be very good. Clay will play in college, and Chaffin will be their #1. I believe she is a very good pither for the 18u Stingrays. Also, have a very good young pitcher in Molly Knapp(soph.). I think their ...

MD,
Thompson is indeed back......along with Barrett. Either of those are capable of winning POY.

I would say Lainee Clay at Wheelersburg is fav in Div.II.
