Re: Point Pleasant (WV) to the TVC or OVC?
Exactly what is shaky about a league that has been around 90+ years with both Logan and Jackson being founding members and how long has Warren been there 20+ years or so The only reason that those teams are still clinging to the SEOAL is because no other leagues will take them. That is stability in...

A graduate of HS and at least some time removed from that day (5 years) before induction into a HS HOF would be appropriate I think.

Re: Point Pleasant (WV) to the TVC or OVC?
If you are AA. games against AAA schools count as qualifying points games. Logan (WV) was AA for years but played up to AAA back when they won many state basketball championships. Either the TVC or OVC would be a good competitive fit for Point, but not for the conferences themselves. Maybe the SEOA...

All sports u better lift and eat right. Eating right is 80% of being athletic Eating may be 80% of building muscle, although not sure I buy that 20% lifting and 80% eating right makes you strong, but you always seem to know so much, so I will roll with it. Eating being 80% of being athletic or an a...

Re: Did Ironton Close Down Their Weight Program
Who said you had to wait until after school when everyone is in the weight room or field house or gym to work out or train. I know a lot of local teams that have 6AM workouts and 3:30PM workouts. If the weight room is busy after school lift before school. The days of "traditional" weight t...

Mud on top of an old city dump in the midst of a flood plain which has flooded scores of times since 1948. Approx. 5 miles from the new school. The new school opened in the fall of 2009. Re: Warren at Steubenville 2016
I really hope that Warren is getting a cut of the gate for this game. They usually have 7-8 home games a year and have been known to pay other teams to travel to them. That may make it a little less painful...a little.

Re: Do you think the OHSAA should look into Shot Clocks for High School Basketball?
I am just not seeing the premise that the team with the ball controls the pace of the game, and a team that is he!! bent on stalling simply has the upper hand and the defensive team is helpless. I see both points, and I do think in a couple years we will see it trickled down to the HS level so the g...

Re: Do you think the OHSAA should look into Shot Clocks for High School Basketball?
If no shot clock is wanted then why have the 10 second violation? Why not just use the whole court whenever you wanted to? How long would a greatly ran possession take? If you can't make a shot towards the basket in 45 seconds....you aren't running an offense. High school officials have kept the pl...

Re: Does the TVC Ohio need an 8th member?
Never understood (actually I think I do) why Jackson or Warren wouldn't be a fit here. Warren is honestly the better fit here given the politics of football. Not sure I see an Oak Hill being a fit in the TVC honestly. Is the TVC not interested in expansion for anyone, or not interested in Warren? Ja...

Re: What would it take for Robbie W. to come back to his almemater Gallia Acad.
Gallia AD is Corvin who is a pretty competitive individual. There is no doubt that he is considering any and all options to bring the Gallia program back to relevance, it has slipped considerably in the last few years. So to think he hasn't thought of bringing Rob back to his alma mater is probably ...

Re: Do you think the OHSAA should look into Shot Clocks for High School Basketball?
I don't like the shot clock for high school. A less talented team can be very deliberate and force the more talented team to play defense. It is the only thing that the underdog has when trying to upset a better team. Control the tempo. A team can reduce the number of possessions so that the more t...
