Re: Running in College?

Rio is the cheapest university around with track and cross for the first 2 years. But you can always transfer somewhere after the tution jumps from comunty rates to private university. The tution and board at rio is above 20+ grand after 2 years, but the average person gets 15,000 FA and Rio offers ...

Re: Warren INV.

16 teams that's great. I'm curious to see how Anderson and Rue do. They both had sad preformances at Marietta. I just hope it is not from being lazy all summer. Richards could possible break 17 on his home course.

Full Rides are rare for us runners....You just have to understand that Football and Basketball is bringing in the money so they are the ones who get the free rides to college..

Not in OU's case

Re: Unioto's Galen Dills becomes a Buckeye!!!!

How could a runner of this caliber not be getting a full scholarship somewhere? I don't get it. Oh well, congratulations! Full track scholarships are nearly unheard of. I don't know anybody who got one besides Cory Leslie. Galen is one of elite in the state. I'm sure between FA+scholarship he is we...

Hebb's running? Wow that's great news he could easily fill sam's spot except mabe the 4x8. If he puts his full effort into it he could do great things. :-D

Re: SEOAL-2008-Updates

Warren's biggest loss was there throwers and Majoy. The distance teem will be very good they have plenty of guys to fill spots Roush and Richards will be the leagues best next to Weefy. They won’t miss Cantley or Wilson until state. Warren graduated there top 4 throwers in both events it will be y...

Re: SEOAL-2008-Updates

I think the title will be between Marietta, Zanesville, and Warren. Warren lost most of there team, but they still have Cox who has been clearing 15' this summer. The 4x8 will still be strong they can easily find 4 guys to run 2:05 or better. Richards and Roush who were kicked out of the 16/32 this ...

Re: 2008 SEOAL MEET

SEOAL at warren hmmmm!?!?! The corse is one of the toughest I have every ran times will be slow for a league meet. That ditch is the dumb, sure the spectators love it and kids have fun, but really is it worth risking an injury or loseing a $70 shoe for. I see weefy all alone this year. The race will...

Re: sacrificing your wants for the teams needs

Seriously, Cap'n? State qualifiers in Track and Field should have played baseball? This sport of ours gets no respect. What a ridiculous thing to say. I agree where would they get with baseball? Maybe a regional showing. I'm sure they would never give up the state meet experience to be on the baseb...

I didn't look, does anyone know how many kids ran both events?[/quote]

Wilson and Cantley were the only ones to run both 1600 and 3200.

However Leslie and Spike did run both 1600 and 800.

Re: Byesville

Warren has 5 guys going in 7 events. Cantley and Wilson should score in the 1600 and the 3200. Cantley could win the 3200 after running the 1600. Majoy is ranked in the top 6 in the 800. Call has a chance to make the podium in disc. Cox is ranked 4th overall I believe in PV. The 4x8 is in great pos...
