Re: BATTLE OF OHIO: INDIANS VS. REDS

I've been to both games of the series so far and surprisingly the reds won both games. Until this week, i thought I would never see the reds win 3 in a row all season, and now we've won 5 in a row and have a very good chance of picking up 6 with Volquez on the mound Sunday. Hopefully this is the tur...

Fishin' Holes in Minford

Anyone know of any good ol' fishin' holes in the Minford area? I've been to a few small ponds and streams but can't find anything that great.

Re: TOP SOPHOMORES

Oesch is a good pitcher to have when Farmer, Cook, and Johnson are resting. He has good control and descent velocity. It does hurt Minford when he does have to pitch though, because Oesch, in my opinion, has one of the best arms in the conference in throwing runners out. More runners tend to advance...

Re: Wheelersburg vs Ironton round 2

Any results from this one? I was in Wheelersburg around the time the game was over but haven't heard anything about it. I would guess since it was over around 6 30ish when i went through that it was a mercy rule.

Re: Wheelersburg Pirates SOC II Champs ?

I see them finishing 3-0 or 2-1 in the remaining conference games and on top of the SOC2. Minford will be a tough matchup as they have rebounded well after the Valley defeat. Beat a solid Waverly ball club but only beat West last night 6-5. So I'm still not sure about their consistency. Pitching is...

Congrats to the Falcons on the big SOC victory.. now they have to play one of the toughest teams in Southeast Ohio in the Wheelersburg Pirates. Minford will have to bring their 'A Game' to win this one, so good luck on Friday!

Re: Wheelersburg Pirates SOC II Champs ?

Wheelersburg is DEFINITELY going to be this years SOC champs. The hardest competition they have left is Minford, and they handled them easily the first go-around. I have never seen an SOC team as strong as this team is, and personally, I think they have a very good shot at winning the state champion...

Minford Falcons @ Wheelersburg Pirates May 2nd

Round two of the Wheelersburg v Minford matchup is set for this Friday. Burg crushed the Falcons in the first game 31-1.. Farmer will be pitching for the Falcons and I'm going to assume that Russell will pitch for the pirates. This game should not end up like the last game, as I think Minford has im...

How is Minford doing this year in track? I have noticed that Josh Kelley looks to be improving in his long distance running... I look for him to 'make some noise' on the track this season.

Re: High School Baseball questions.

Does The Burg have an off season regime for baseball , I know it can't be school sponsored . It seems they must be hitting year round. Not that I know of, and if they did, most of the kids on the baseball team are involved in other sports like football, basketball, soccer, etc.. and they wouldn't h...
