Re: GALLIA ACADEMY BLUE DEVIL BASKETBALL 2010-11

make no mistake about it the Amos kid has basketball talent. He is a good outside shooter and will get better inside with experience, I am sure he will get stronger. He is a really good at blocking shots as well. This kid has excellent feet work and works hard. He will be fun to watch the next few y...

Re: #2 Vinton County vs #7 Gallia Academy

This was a pretty good game but I disagree that the officials were just letting them play. I know two of these officials well and I thought they were not at there best for both teams. That being said good luck to VC the rest of the way and by the way what a great fan turn out for you guys. I was ver...

Re: #2 Vinton County vs #7 Gallia Academy

I am pretty sure that VC will do what every other team has done this year and set back in a zone and trap us. I like the way we played up tempo against Warren at home and Jackson at home but I do not know if this is a good idea against VC. I also have heard OZ all year long screaming at these boys t...

Re: GALLIA COUNTY RIVALRY-INSTALLMENT II

This might be a little better game than last time, it seems like RV has come alive a little and maybe is playing with some confidence. Gallipolis looked very good against Warren and if they play like that every night than they will be in most games. GO BLUE

Re: Gallipolis surprises Warren Local, 65-51

That was an excellent team win on Friday amd if anyone thinks coach Oz doesnt coach anymore than they have not been watching. This team was down and has not played well and could have come out and layed an egg but they chose to play hard. Great Win. GO BLUE

Re: GALLIA ACADEMY-RIVER VALLEY @ URG 12/30

I think I would rather see this game at both high schools as well but Rio is definatley more comfortable. The Devils played a good Portsmouth team very strong and seems to be coming together a little bit. i think coach Oz likes these kinds of teams where they have to play together and depend on each...

Re: Athens @ Gallia Academy 12-13

I truly beleive that the technical on coach Paul Mcneal was a bad call, at least the first one but I think he felt so fired up about the first one that he got a little to excited arguing with the ref and got his second. That official in the first half probably made 3 times as many calls as the other...

Re: gahs frosh beat pt pleasant

This was a good team win for the young freshman. Brice Amos was dominating and the devil defense was very good as well.Coach Atkins has this group playing as a team and everyone contributes. Bryant Bokovitz had a nice game and Nick Saunders had some good shots. Drew Young helped out on the boards wi...

Re: GAHS Freshmen- 46 Logan- 42

Nice win to get the season started, I am confident that these boys will get better because of the coaching of coach Atkins. He used his bench very well and gave his players a break when they needed one. They will definatley have to keep better care of the ball and make the easy baskets. What a great...

Re: SEOAL????

Gallipolis has a chance to be just as strong as last year and with a little help from underclassmen maybe even better. Amy Noe on the mound will be tough and Britan Saunders should have another banner year. That girl can pound the ball and is a weapon on defense because she is an excellent infeilder...

Re: Gallia Academy 08-09

It has been a long time since I have seen a jv team that solid from top to botom, and I dont meen just 8 or 9 deep. Foul trouble will be no trouble for coach Moore. Not only is the sophomore group talented but you just mixed a experienced junior group with them. Coach Moore must be living well to ha...

Re: Gallia Academy 08-09

This is definatley a double edged sword. I agree it is better to play on the reserve than sit on the varsity, but it will be a juggling act to filter in all of the talent coach Moore has with the juniors. As much as this can help these four boys it can also have reprecussions on the existing sophomo...

Re: Gallia's Osborne 2009 Paul Walker award winner

Coach Oz teaches you more about responsibility and being accountable than playing ball. He has great knowledge of the game and continues to strive for excellence. I remember several half time speeches and playing basketball for Gallipolis remains one of my greatest acheivments and memories to this d...

Re: GIRLS BBALL COACH AT GALLIA ACADEMY

I was going to say that Gallipolis fans give noone a chance, but the people on here complaining are not Gallipolis fans. How can we complain before she even has the chance to coach the first game? I realise she has coached before and probably made a lot of people unhappy but I beleive that this is a...

Re: Gallia Academy 08-09

I have been part of the argument whether Oz should run or not but sometimes we dont have a team that can run with the chillicothes and zanesvilles. I have often wondered would it make people happier to have a loss of 90-80 or 55-45. I played for coach Oz and I learned more from him than just basketb...

Re: Gallia Academy 08-09

I think everyone has forgotten about the Eberhardt boy. IMO he sees the floor as well as anyone and handles the ball well. I am sure he will give coach Oz some options along with Jarrod Golden. This team should be like the football team and overacheive. We definatley have a tough schedule but knowin...

Re: Support the Gallipolis Band

Forever, them not accepting his resignation is no more than a "dog and pony show". He still is not here, I hope that we do not get a band instructor soon, I think the kids did a great job on there own with the help of a new jr. high and elementary school instructor. I sat close to them and...

Support the Gallipolis Band

I have been told that Gallipolis has no director at this time. Seniors step up and lead your fellow band members and stand strong and be leaders. I love hearing the band and I for one appreciate your hard work and commitment. I am sure everyone expects you to just get by and play a little. Prove the...

Coach Bostic will have his team ready and I hope they play well, SG definatley is in a tough bracket, correct me if I am wrong but if they get past NB is there next match up against undefeated South Webster. If coach Bostics girls bring everything they have and leave nothing on the court than New Bo...
