Jr. High is not a sanction sport so High School coach has nothing to do with it. They have had Jr. high softball at Wheelersburg for many years now and again, they have very qualified parents who can coach. It's just who has the time to do it. HS coach doesn't even have JV team, so i don't think he ...

I don't believe jr. coaching is a paid position----pretty much voluntary and who can find the time to do it.
Both coaches for the Burg this year have kids who will be freshmen, but I know the Burg and they are very
lucky to have so many parents who are very good coaches and will step right in.

Rock Hill should be the team to beat. OVC champs last year, one game from state tourney and pretty much the core group and pitching staff are back. As long as they remain injury free they should be a great group to watch.

I would say Ironton's 8th grade team is probably the best I've seen. Haven't been beat in like 2 years, just won the Wellston tourney. This group is really good. Beat the Burg (which has a very good 8th grade team) by 12 I think and Burg was right with Webster all the games they played. Fairland got...
