Re: A look at the Scioto Valley Conference entering the New

WTP, interesting topic, and good to hear considering it is the SVC's 50th anniversary. However, given the fact that most people who watched the great players of the 70's and 80's are in a sense less computer/message board "savvy" than those who watched players from the 90's until now, it w...

Re: Attendance Figures for the State Tournament Finals

Personally IMO the attendance this year reflects the economic state of Ohio, not the quality of BKB played at the Schott. One of the first things people cut back on in tough times is "entertainment".

Re: Private Religious school drawing from Large Cities.

The public/private debate has been beat like a dead horse in this state. And, unless there are wholesale changes in personnel AND philosophy within the OHSAA, nothing will change. What most should be concerned about (especially in an economically depressed area like SE Ohio), is the impending skyroc...

Re: Chillicothe's Hitchens headed to NCAA Tournament

Krystal may have been Ironman92, but not sure how she is included on the BOYS BKB forum?????? Ross County definately has sent it's share of girls on to play in the "dance"... Cindy Noble, Aubrey Eblin, Tharp, and maybe even Natalie Hill? But in a way, doesn't that show how rare it is for o...

Re: Chillicothe's Hitchens headed to NCAA Tournament

Nickleback, according to ESPN.com, Bowling Green's last NCAA Tourney appearance was 1968, so that would be somewhat before Netter? Hitchbone, if it wasn't Steve Bayless at Bradley, or Mark Bayless at Ohio St., we may be going waaaay back to find the answer to this... maybe as far back as Gordon Mick...

Re: Chillicothe's Hitchens headed to NCAA Tournament

Really nice video on Humpty and the Zips... reading some of the tourney "stuff" nationally, Akron is definately a feel good story in the field of 64. As a 4th seed in the MAC tourney, they definately surpassed expectations. For those interested, the Akron Beacon-Journal has alot of stuff o...

Re: Congrats to Anthony Hitchens

Amazing job by Hitchens and the Zips this week. Talked to his father at the Chilly/Marietta game friday, and his thoughts were basically that he didn't think he would play the rest of the weekend after severely turning his ankle. To play 14 minutes in the Championship game is a testament to Humpty's...

Re: Marietta vs. Chillicothe at the Convo on 3/13

Congrats Chilly on your 3rd straight District title!! Last night's game was a little sluggish, but you definately got the feeling that if the Cavs could get to 50, the Tigers wouldn't. Wanted to take this opportunity to congratulate this Sr. class... they have made (and still are making) history in ...

I will vote with dawescpa on the 2 kids from Chilly (Knights and Dawes), both starters on last year's State Champion Cavs squad. Excellent ballplayers... great kids. Go Cavs!!!

Re: Going to Hawaii, any tips.

Don't know if you have left yet, or not. But if you get this before you leave or even when you get over there, haere are Lamont's rec's: -Pearl Harbor, don't fly all that way and not see it -The "North Shore", especially after the tourist trap that is Waikiki. Haleiwa is the only real town...

Interesting... among the schools with 4 or more titles, only 3 are public schools. And, all 3 of em come from the MAC.

Re: Chillicothe Cavaliers 2008-2009 Season Schedule

Just my opinion here Army, but Gary is usually in no hurry to lock up his schedule real early. And, coming off the success/exposure that last year's team got, look for him to possibly try and take them into a bigger venue and pick up a quality opponent (ala last year with N. College Hill @ UC and Ne...

Sad and pathetic. Would like to echo what Gahs4ever said about the ZT situation a few years ago.
