Re: Summer Leagues?

Re: Summer Leagues?

Surely, they can't hire Derrow back? What a travesty it would be for the kids of Wellston. I would assume that if the young Derrow is running the summer league than the older one can't be to far behind, pulling the strings if you will.

Re: NEW COACH'S HIRED

I think that if Derrow wants to come back, I think it would be selfish on his part. I say that because I thought that I read that if Derrow is rehired he was to lose his summer contact days. That would put the kids even further behind if they would have to wait until October to be competitive.

35 in a row? Wow, I wonder what Norm did when he was in Chesapeake? I know he won a bunch of OVC titles, but I wonder how many games in a row?

I just don't understand it. Why does people want to leave their birth home? Especially FOR high school sports? It is a sad situation. But congratulations to the Oaks.

Re: Vinton Co. vs. Piketon 2/14 @ OU-Chilli Shoemaker Center

The team I saw YESTERDAY, could beat OH. I did not see Piketon play Huntington or Zane Trace. But I know this the team beat the second place team in their conference by 21 and 18.

Maybe they had a bad day, just like the Vikings did on Saturday.

Re: Vinton Co. vs. Piketon 2/14 @ OU-Chilli Shoemaker Center

Ok, let me clarify myself. The team I saw yesterday looked unbeatable. When I saw Oak Hill against Wheelersburg, Oak Hill looked beatable. It is my opinion that OH would struggle with big, quick athletic guards, which Piketon has. Secondly, Piketon is bigger than OH and a lot more athletic in the po...
