The MSL Buckeye is one of the better leagues for travel. Longest trip is 35 minutes over to Fairfield Union.

Our area of the state is very fortunate to have some very fine sports writers. Craig Dunn is one of them.

Re: TOP 20 TEAMS IN SEO
I watched LE most of the season and thought they'd lose by 10 or so to Chilli after watching the Cavaliers 3-4 times. LE just came out and filled up the nets and they caught the Cavaliers a little bit on their heels. That was a game LE should have won but some bad luck, shots going in and out at the...

Re: TOP 20 TEAMS IN SEO
The SE has two D2 entries into the regionals so that's two district titles.
LE, Chilli, Vinton and Gfield should be the four teams playing for the two berths, much like this past year.

Rock Hill barely got in for a down year in this region. 8-2 will be a minimum record to get into the playoffs. Don't expect to see them there.

I think it'll be tougher. Amanda and Ironton have to be strongly considered based on their program history and returnees.

Re: Coach Jordan of Southeastern
The dye has been casted. Going through a drawn out fiasco probably would not be best for either side. The school community will probably be divided either way. There are some jobs available around the area where Coach Jordan could be an immense help to. Who knows. It might pump life into the new sch...

If you are looking to build a program, this is the man for you with his track record. Boys bball is the only thing SE has going for it. Not anymore I guess.
Job openings around the area?
All I know is Roundtown is open.

Re: 12/27 Logan Elm at Chillicothe
Should be interesting. I figured at the time when LE and Chilli played it was really for the Final Four. I didn't see anyone else coming close to Chilli and I thought LE could get through pretty well too. I think we all were surprised about how close it was. Even though Chillicothe loses Humpty and ...

This should be a dandy. Props to both schools for scheduling each other. Looks to be a matinee, according to the home team.

Re: SVC FOOTBALL
Westfall's junior varsity probably at least got 6-8 quarters of work against the other team's varsity before that team put in its reserves. Most games were over by halftime and the backups came in during the third quarter as the starters hit the bench.

Re: Gary Kellough
Coach Kellough did do a good job with some in game changes and I applaud Chilli for their tough schedule. I'm a big proponent of playing a tough schedule because it prepares you well for the tournament. I just don't think we should discount the Jordan's, Van Matre's, Persin's, etc. just because they...

Re: Gary Kellough
I don't have a coach in the fight. I've heaped praise on Coach Kellough on this thread, but he did have a team that is rare in the southeast with 3-4 legitimate D1 college athletes. Greenfield was a good team when Dante was there, but they only had the one real good player. Chillicothe had two playe...

Re: Gary Kellough
This is no knock against Coach Kellough, but give Humpty and Chambers to Van Matre and Persin and they'd go places too. Coach Kellough had one of those type teams you don't see often in SE Ohio. Kellough was at ZT for many years and didn't win a district title. Does that make him a bad coach? No, ZT...
