Re: Logan Basketball 08-09
Fans of the purple should get a good gauge going into the season as Logan travels to Logan Elm to play in the OHSAA Foundation Game on Nov. 22. Always some good basketball between these two schools. The girls play at 6pm, boys at 7:30.

Re: who will be the best teams in d-4 region-15(heres last yr)
Westfall has made it in at 8-2 but it has been tight and Amanda was not in the region. Most seem to think AC should go 8-2 and that'll get them in with playing two D2's and four D3's. Westfall also needs the county schools they can beat to fare well. Ironton and Bellaire are wild cards. They have be...

Re: who will be the best teams in d-4 region-15(heres last yr)
Westfall did lose a lot, but they return Cain, Cline, Gibson and Cobb. The defense is probably the biggest question, especially up front, going into the season. For Westfall it's always important for them to beat some Pickaway County schools and gain points that way. A lot of their points come from ...

Re: SVC 2008 outlook
Top - Westfall and Piketon. Westfall lost a lot but returns four darn good players with Cain, Gibson, Cline and Cobb to lead the way. JV also got a lot of experience last season. Piketon returns about everyone and has upgraded the non-league, kudos to them. They gave Westfall everything it wanted fo...

Re: Charging to park
You'll probably see increases in ticket prices, concessions and charges to park at more schools with the way the economy is going, which will probably affect attendance.

Bart is over at Logan Elm now. I expect to see a good bit of improvement out of LE.

Amanda and Canal are the top two. Hard to figure out a third, I could list four teams.

Re: Southeastern High School Coach gone?
Tough break for the Panthers. I imagine they'd have to keep it in house and go with an assistant at this late juncture. You only have one month to go before camp begins. Your 7 on 7's begin in two weeks.

Re: What SE-Ohio teams play up concerning their Non-League games
Just for the record since Army rips them too...Jackson has also notched playoff victories over Withrow (2004) and Mount Healthy (2003) this decade. Two more than Chillicothe Chillicothe.

Re: What SE-Ohio teams play up concerning their Non-League games
Since I'm going by this decade, 1999 does not count, but still nonetheless a good decade for Gallipolis football. Every program has a down year or two from time to time. Following Westfall up here this past season and Amanda two years ago to the Final Four was very exciting. Circleville also notched...

Re: What SE-Ohio teams play up concerning their Non-League games
I see Army is still hurting from the 47-18 beatdown his Chillicothe Chillicothe took at the hands of the purple. Logan >>>>>>>>>> Chillicothe Chillicothe Four straight SEOAL titles, and six this decade, when Chillicothe Chillicothe has not won a league title since the Reagan years

Re: What SE-Ohio teams play up concerning their Non-League games
Actually Army, Logan Elm signed a contract with Waverly beginning play in 2004, but the Tigers opted out after the Braves beat them for the first two years. You might want to check your facts before you post.

Re: What SE-Ohio teams play up concerning their Non-League games
Logan Elm plays Westfall and Amanda every year, both of which would beat Chillicothe pretty consistently.
Nice try, next.
As for Logan or whomever, they can schedule who they see fit. I'm sure AD's come to you to preapprove their schedules.

Re: What SE-Ohio teams play up concerning their Non-League games
Army gets on and spews about playing 'up' in division and once he is exposed, edits his post and talks about competition. He then gets on and brags about his adopted Chillicothe Chillicothe's ONE state title in all sports in history and dares posters to try and match it, especially from Jackson. Whe...
