Re: E A HOME SUPPLY PLAYOFFS ROUND 2
I had three that I wavered on. The Waverly-Greenfield game. The Valley-Westfall game and the Hillsboro-Court House game. The last one I haven't really followed either team so know nothing about them. Valley scares me in that they can be slowed down and that would hurt their offense and Waverly alway...

Re: E A HOME SUPPLY PLAYOFFS ROUND 2
NO KENTUCKY GAMES!!!!! There should be at leat one game. Yeah, we're able to gather so much information on the KY schools. I vote no for a KY game. Looks like me and futurebkstar will be decided tonight as we picked the exact same teams, so it comes down to the tiebreaker. I picked 145 and he picke...

THis game worries me for the picks contest. I think I have to sway towards Westfall in this one.

Re: Wheelersburg vs Fairland 2/28
Only one team scored in the 60's against the Burg all year and that was Portsmouth. Like was said above, Burg plays good, solid defense and they work the ball to get a good open shot. Sure they are going to see a 2-3 zone in every game, but if someone can get hot from the outside, that can play righ...

Re: SOC 7th & 8th Grade Tourney Results at South Webster
He is not my son. I was there watching a friend of mines son from the Burg. Quite a few of the Burg people around me noticed the same thing about the boy getting taken out. Not trying to bash or criticize anyone. Just was curious as to why he was taken out, you answered my question so we'll leave it...

Re: The Clay Panthers Boys-Girls
I guess if he had a sub rotation, then no, but to just take a kid out, who was hitting everything he shot in, just because he had one turnover, then yes, I think that is wrong. Everyone is going to have mistakes, but let the kid have his fun and if he is not tired, then let him play.

Re: The Clay Panthers Boys-Girls
I am sooo proud of the 8th grade boys from Clay. The #8 seed Panthers came out ready to face #1 Wheelersburg, playing a smothering man to man defense, and a slicing and dicing offense that confused the Burg early. It was great to sit and watch the coaches from Wheelersburg sweat while the Panthers ...

Re: SOC 7th & 8th Grade Tourney Results at South Webster
Burg beat Clay 50 something to 20 something. Clay led at the end of the 1st qtr. 11-10. No. 24 for Clay hit 3 three's and a 2 pouint basket, then he had one turnover and the coach yanked him for about 4-5 minutes in the 2nd qtr. That was kind of a shock but I did see Clay's head varsity coach there ...

Re: SOC1 scores and stats
North Adams only beat Northwest by 10 last week. North Adams better be careful what they wish for because they just might be matching up with Minford in the sectional finals and then possibly Burg in the district semi's, granted Minford and Burg both have to win in the sectional semi-finals

Re: Burg 8th Grade Beat?!?!
Would have liked to have seen Coach Holden stay with this class. I guarantee you that if the things are going on that have been posted on here he would have put a stop to it. I still don't understand the two coach situation. Why isn't there just one coach for both the 7th and 8th grade teams? The ki...

Re: Wheelersburg Pirates 2009 Season
Could probably be the Burg's offensive team in awhile. Lot of skill people and linemen coming back on the offensive side of the ball.
Hope they use Craigmiles more this year than they did last year. Way to much speed to not be utilized.

Re: Wheelersburg @ Valley Friday, Jan 23
Congrats to the Indians on the win. Someone had posted on here that Valley would win 72-68 and I knew that score wasn't going to happen. Burg has to play a slow down style of offense until they get a year under their belts and then look out. Put that defense with a high powered offense and they will...

Re: Wheelersburg @ Valley Friday, Jan 23
Valley barely has any fans sitting in the upper deck at their home games, but I expect that to be a little different tonight. It is funny but I think everybody in the area loves it when the Burg loses just because of how their fans act , even a few on this site. When they get beat it is always some...
