I thought the Bucks would beat the "U" easily until I watched both games last night. It was hard to get a good read on either team because they were both playing very vanilla. Although they both played less then great teams, Miami's D, especially the D-line, were VERY impressive.

A guy I worked with printed out the entire report. He and I read it cover to cover and it says nothing of the sort. VC was def. the better team. They were ice cold until the 4th quarter. Guthrie had a good game. Allen was in foul trouble the entire game, and played 5minutes(if that). When he was in he def. made a difference. Not a very fun game to watch, but VC played shutdown D when they needed to.

Vinton County should also be in the hunt this year. They return 4 starters, have one of the best point guards in the area and go 8 deep, with very little, if any, drop off in talent. It will be interesting to see V.C. and Waverly play this year. Should be one of the better DII battles.

I will say vc has had Wellstons number the last 5 years....but the years before that Wellston hardly ever lost to VC...VC has had some great players the last few years and Wellston has been down..but talent comes and gos and Wellston has some good young players coming up...I look for them to win a ...

Just heard that VC went 4-0 in the shootout. the only teams I can remember they played was miamisburg and I think a Dayton team.
