Re: 2013 Trimble Tomcats
They get the Bucks at home on a Saturday night to open the season ... but its the trip to Wahama 6 days later that has me worried ... 10-0 is very possible, 9-1 wouldn't shock me - and even 8-2 isn't out of the realm of possibility ... my money is on 10-0 though, but I've always been a 'glass-half-...

Re: Activity at the Ole Pickle Building
Your extended hiatus has been duly noted and your long anticipated return has humorously occurred. First mention of the Ol' Pickle Building in quite a while. Why don't you throw out the kettle ball conversation? Where's koondogger, Duck, and some more of those GTown jokers that we've so sorely miss...

Re: Hocking league
I agree with everyone here that Belpre has to be the clear favorite. Fed Hock returns the Karney kid along with there 3 guards so they will be pretty darn good as well. Miller will be competive this season as well they return everyone. Eastern brings back their nucleaus so they should be in the thi...

Re: Trimble at Miller
Tomcat Pride must hold a grudge against Coach Bartley. There are a few really awesome players from Trimble JV-Spears, Jenkins, Roback to name a few, but come on! The coaching the JV receives is second to none. When Phil retires I hope they give the varsity job to Phil. Just my thoughts guys! :mrgre...

A quote on SEOPS by Purple Tornado preceding the Trimble v/s Southern game.
This hung on Trimble's locker room wall last week.

G-Well its not going to happen Oak Hill will stay in the SOC I in football. Its a good fit, go back to the South Gallia thread from last week and I posted the history of Oak Hill in the SOC I. As it always happens small schools have their run of a good group of athletes and then the balance of powe...

Re: Symmes Valley @ South Gallia
The Vikings better clean up the yellow laundry or this one could be too close for comfort for them. Should be a good game, but I have to go with the Vikings - they've won 5 of the last 6 in this series, if I'm not mistaken. Yes yellow laundry could come into play. The refs at SG always seem to be a...

lol ... Dude, your kind of on the right track there .... I prefer to say 'Liberal' culture though, it describes more than just your theory of alt. school kids ... Look, its simple math ... Last Friday Dave Boston jr. looked down his sideline and saw 55 kids to choose from to put in the game ... Ada...

Re: Trimble's Playoff Chances
Your are correct Steely Trimble was 9-1 and did not get in that year. Word on the street was that some monkey business went on with the numbers reported to the OHSAA that year. Unfortunately, that would have been a fun team to watch in the playoffs. I am not sure if FH got in that year or not, but t...

Re: Nelsonville-York (7-1) 14; Athens (7-1) 13
Sorry, but that post by 93 bulldog is a bunch of garbage. K of K is exactly right. It is the number of potential boys in the school. If they only counted the boys that play football every team in the state would cut down to the number for D6. That argument makes no sense. Nor does the, we offer more...

Re: (8-0) Oak Hill @ (3-5) South Gallia
All jokes aside, the Rebels will get throttled in this game. The only thing that could keep it within 40 points is the refs. But I credit SG for continuing to play OH when it was clear a few years ago that they were going to be pretty good. The Oaks on the other hand, should have probably looked for...

Re: Nelsonville-York (7-1) 14; Athens (7-1) 13
I have no problem with Athens being in the TVC at all. Matter of fact, I am glad they are in. That way we don't have to hear the excuse, "but we have to play Logan, Jackson, Ironton etc..." for reasons why they can't beat the TVC Ohio Division teams in football. Yes they have beaten all bu...

Re: Nelsonville-York (7-1) 14; Athens (7-1) 13
I know people are sick of hearing this, but Athens should win the league in every sport, every year. They are a Division 2 school basically playing D4 and D5 for league titles. Logan is a D2 school as well, that is who Athens should be competing against. Same amount of kids, same amount of sports. ...

Re: TVC rushing title might have a surprising winner
dyla gets 20 yards v/s southern in the first half! I will second that. He will prolly follow that up with 10 more in the second half on his way to a 30 yard night. Then he will only need 750 or there bouts against Miller to reach that goal of 2000 for the season. You mean there is a game before the...
