Re: Teams to watch this coming season- Who ya got?
Circleville should be very talented. I would guess they will be among the top in D4, along with Meigs and Unioto. Possibly Waverly as well, but their schedule could make things a little more difficult to gain a favorable seed. Jackson jumps to D3, which will make their shot at a district title a bit...

Re: Miami Trace ready to repeat FAC champs
I agree, just can't see many FAC teams getting in the way of MT this year. But I do think there will be a few dog fights, as teams like Chillicothe and Jackson could make interesting games for MT. The group of Seniors for both MT and Jackson have had some really good battles through the past 10 yea...

Re: Waverly Tigers 2025-26
Should be much improved record wise, but length will still give them some issues on the perimeter and if they can't get consistent outside scoring, they could really struggle to score at times. You have to like having your starting five back from a district runner up team, although they did lose 9 s...

Re: 8 1/2 weeks & Counting until the 2025-26 Hoops Season Tips Off !!!
The SVC probably runs through Frenchtown again this season, as they return the best player in the league in Fitch and a bevy of outstanding on ball defenders led by Zickafoose. Rebounding will be an issue for the Shermans, which is where I can see Zane Trace getting them if it happens, just for McCu...

Re: 8 1/2 weeks & Counting until the 2025-26 Hoops Season Tips Off !!!
No offense to the Minford group, but I'm guessing the positive commenters did not watch a second of the JV group from a year ago. They may be athletic, but they are going to massively struggle in league play. I'll also be surprised if Wheelersburg has more than one league loss, unless Stephens is ab...

... any transfers in the Fairland, Chesapeake, South Point, Ironton ranks ??? usually there is movement along the river in the OVC ... Heard some rumblings in the summer of a move from Peake to Fairland, but I'm not sure if it ended up happening. It was a multi-year starter for Peake, so it would d...

Re: SVC 2025/26
Unioto wins very easily again, I’d be surprised if any game is remotely close like last year’s game at Adena was. Milee Smith is outstanding, plus Holbert and Beard are very talented as well. Dennis was starting to come around before getting injured late in the season. Adena/Piketon should be next. ...

5 seasons. Won a couple of sectionals, reached a district final. Best season was 18-6.Waverlyguru01 wrote: Thu Mar 27, 2025 5:56 pm How did he do at South Gallia I am generally asking because I don't know.
A couple of bad seasons as well, can’t leave those out, but just looking back it seems like he did fairly well.

Portsmouth Clay has hired Larry Howell (Portsmouth West Girls) to be their next head coach. Howell was also the boys varsity assistant. That’s a great hire. He did outstanding with the girls program at West and the cupboard isn’t dry there, so he must have a nice feeling about the Panthers future h...

Re: 2025 Season(Boys)
Unioto lost a couple of starters, but both were first year players. Have their whole defense back, plus two capable goalkeepers. One of their better attackers will be back after a dirty tackle took him out of about half of last season. Plus, their top two players will be sophomores and that should c...

I hope they’ve tallied up the distance on those back to back bombs that Kwasniak hit to get his team back in the game They are down 38-34 at the half, but he’s got 23 and has been ridiculous How many did Kawasaki end up with today? 38 and 6 assists He was 13-23 from the field, he just couldn’t get ...

Re: Monroe Central 24-25
Congratulations to the Seminoles! They completely shut down everything that Marion Local wanted to do and they were able to handle a super physical game to win their first title. I thought they carried themselves 10x better than ML did and even on the weak calls, reacted minimally and just moved on....
