Re: SEOAL Scores and Standings
In a great HS baseball game tonight at Gant Municipal Stadium the Blue Devils of Zanesville topped Div 4 #1 Newark Catholic 4-2 pushing their record to 18-1. Brandon Smith pitched a complete game of 5 hit baseball and the blue devils looked solid in the field with only one error. Warren comes callin...

Re: SEOAL Scores and Standings
Going into the weekend the Zanesville Blue Devils won 2 non-league games this week to push their record to 16-1. They topped Parkersburg South 11-3 Tuesday night at Gant Municipal Stadium behind stellar pitching and 4 RBI's from senior Adam Young. They won a crosstown non league game tonight against...

Re: WHAT IS YOUR TEAMS RECORD
Zanesville Blue Devils now are 13-1 after a fairly successful weekend. They won Friday night at Warren Local 3-1. Also mercied Watkins Memorial 11-0 in five innings Saturday morning before surrendering their first loss of the year to Licking Valley in the second half of a 3-way DH 3-2. The blue devi...

Re: SEOAL Scores and Standings
The Zanesville Blue Devils pull off a huge win at Warren Local this evening 3-1. Cole Hudson was winning pitcher for the blue devils and helped his young squad move to 12-0 (6-0) on the season. Two huge games await Zanesville tomorrow against Watkins and Licking Valley should be two great games. No ...

Re: WHAT IS YOUR TEAMS RECORD
Zanesville now sits at 11-0 with a HUGE weekend ahead. Visit Warren Local tonight and play a 3 way with Watkins Memorial and Licking Valley tomorrow. Both those teams have had great seasons and great programs. Should be a great weekend for baseball. Go Devils!!

Re: Home Run leaders???
For Zanesville this season I know Wade Kaido hit a GS at Coshocton Village Park and in the same game Adam Young hit a BOMB to left center cleared the fence by 30-40 ft. Adam Young hit his 2nd in the 7th inning against Meadowbrook two days later. I want to say another Blue Devil has hit one but can't...

Re: SEOAL Scores and Standings
Zanesville moved to 11-0 after a 13-2 5 inning mercy of Meadowbrook in a non league game last night. Head to Warren Local for a tough night game tonight against the Warriors. I expect a great baseball game from both teams as they both seem to raise their games when playing one another. Zanesville th...

Re: SEOAL 2008-2009
Zanesville will be a tough team again this year as they and Chilli have both developed [b]PROGRAMS[b] and I can see Portsmouth trying to get back to that point. With the losses of Aronhalt, A. Harris, C. Harris, and S. Centers Zanesville will have to have some kids grow up quickly if they are to rea...

Re: TOP SOPHOMORES
I would have to agree with you Tigersfan on your evaluation of both players. Cole Hudson is the pitchers name for Zanesville that you mentioned he is now 6-1 as a starter for the blue devils in his 1.5 years on the mound. #7 Colten Maxwell and #5 Wade Kaido are also sophomores starting for the young...

Re: SEOAL Scores and Standings
Zanesville topped Marietta 1-0 in a fairly sloppy game. Not much hitting and a lot of base running errors held both teams back. Sets up a big finish to the week for ZV with Athens coming to town on Wednesday and heading to Warren Local Friday night. Zanesville now sits at 9-0(4-0) in the young seaso...

Re: SEOAL outlook for 2008
I would have to say at this point in a young season Zanesville is still the team to beat in the North. You can't be the best until you beat the best. I will hold my opinions on Athens until they play the blue devils. I would also not count out Warren after seeing what I thought was a great HS game a...

to say the Blue Devils don't have any leaders is a BOLD statement. Granted they lost the person who has been the leader for the past couple of years but they do have experience coming back this year. Adam Young has been on the Varsity for four years and has seen first-hand what it takes to win and t...

Alex was a great player and a great student of the game and will be missed but the offense and defense should actually be stronger this year. The most evident place he will be missed is on the mound. For the first time in a few years this team will have to rely on good defense, good baserunning, and...

SEOAL outlook for 2008
With several of the top players from 07 graduating, who is the early favorite for the SEOAL crown in 08? There are several players coming back who were impact players last year Wagner from Warren, Adam Young(healthy) from Zanesville, and many others that I am not all that familiar with. Your thought...
