Chesapeake played hard tonight and battled back in the 3rd quarter to get within a couple points, but as osmufan said, they just couldn't get over that hump.

And as it usually is when SP travels Chesapeake, it was a packed house.

I think Tommy Pinkerman is a good one.

I noticed too .. I think the other 2 refs were talking (probably about the technical) and weren't even paying attention. I was in the upper deck, pointing and shouting lol. Oh well, didn't make much difference.

I've been going to South Point games for 10 years, and I don't think I've ever seen a standing room only crowd at SP.

I thought the officials did a pretty good job too. Packed gymnasium, an important game .. I was glad to see they assigned a pretty good crew ... I don't think I would have wanted to have been down on that floor!!

Come on now ... this is the big rematch everyone's been waiting for, or so they say ... where's the discussion?!? Pointer gym was pretty rockin tonight ... for a girls' game. Stands were full, huge student sections, pep band was there .... Hopefully with the girls' win tonight over CG, the excitemen...

I try to go to every game. Last season I was able to do that, including the 3 1/2 hour trip to Mount View, WV!

If that's the case, he certainly shouldn't have been doing the game, in my opinion. It's one thing for a ref to be bad. Yea, it's frustrating, but at least you know they're trying to call the game correctly. But when you have an official that has an agenda, it can make all refs look bad.

I'm gonna wait to make a prediction, but I think it will be close. Last time, Pointers won by one. I'm sure Fairland's been waiting for the rematch.
