Re: how to judge cross country times based on the course
This is why my thinking concerning seeding cross country and track and field is useless. Wrestling, football, basketball, and baseball are entirely different sports because pretty much everything in all those sports is consistent.

SEOAL POLE VAULT
A little more fuel to the fire concerning the pole vault in the SEOAL. Talking with some coaches from Gallia County it seems the softball team got a bus with no problem and that there is NO bussing problem . Also learned that if it involves less than 7 athletes no bus is necessary. Not being in the ...

Re: Why doesn't track have 4 divisions?
The number of 9 is correct about constituting a team; however, only two good athletes is all it takes to win a state TEAM championship. Think about that one for a while. We will not see 4 divisions for track and field because of time constraints - at this time it takes two very full days to complete...

SEOAL and pole vault
What in the name of The Wizard of OZ is happening in the SEOAL? SEOAL championship meet is at Jackson who has no vault mat? Seriously? Warren High School never got to host the championship because they had only a 6 lane track so why is it different with the pole vault? AND, listen to this - the pole...

Re: Chillicothe FairWeather Relays - March 28th
No Reply, the coaches and athletes had snow shovels shoveling snow off the track at that meet. By 2:00 p.m. the temperature was in the 50's and the sun was bright!

Re: Pole Vault skills,drills,safety clinic
This day on January 19th at Rio Grande for pole vault safety, skills, and drills will be a long and hard day for everyone. HOWEVER, there will be lots of learning going on and we want to have a packed house. It will cost only $10.00 per person which will be used to defray expenses for drinks and sna...

Re: Logan Results SEOAL 1980/2014
No Reply, thank you for taking me back and remembering all of those great athletes and their performances. We had some really good ones for quite a while and now it is my honor, my duty, and my pleasure to be attempting the very same thing at N-Y. Oh, and I think (not sure) that the record for team ...

Re: Numbers around the southeast?
At Nelsonville-York we have 5 varsity boys,7 varsity girls, 5 junior high girls, 5 junior high boys. If things continue this will be the very first time in the history of N-Y that all four squads can score as a team. For the varsity girls this will be the very first year ever for a full squad - we m...

Attention No Reply: I just perused your lists and a couple of additions include - in the vault - Jacob Fayette cleared 12'8" in the regional meet in 2013 and Cannon Kilbarger cleared 12'9" in the same mett this past spring. Also, in the 800 Eli Fox ran a 2:03 at the regional meet. Also, ou...

No Reply, for the girls 4x800 you have the Nelsonville-York girls with the wrong time - you gave them the same time the boys ran. The boys 4x800 ran a 9:31.1 today at Otterbein at the central District Invitational.

Ironman, I may have experience but I need to use it to the best of my ability to get others thinking. I may only be around for two more years and then jetting on out to the remainder of my life. So, in the years to come you cna ask these questions and try to get some help to the young coaches. Alway...

Cross country for next fall
Several years ago we had a slogan - Five On The Line - for encouraging coaches to get five cross country team members to toe the starting line. They had to take one step and it counted as a team. Every two years there is a team count and it determines our district set-up. The more teams we have toe ...
