Re: Job Openings in Southern/Southeastern Ohio for 2012
Congradulations mtswngrvsg on a great season in Rebel Land. Must be nice to be part of a league finally and one that you are very competitive in. You know you love it and you need something to do anyway. I retired from teaching last spring and then went to Northwest Ohio to be a full time assistant ...

Re: Week 4: oakhill (0-3)@wellston (1-2)
The Oaks went to the playoffs the last two years being Regional Runner last year. As for running the scores up, one of the things the coaching staff was concerned with was that the first team really never played a full game in a lot of those games. They started being pulled in some of those games be...

Re: Seoal predictions.
The S.E.O.A.L was down last year and will be this year also, with the exception of Jackson. I think the league is theirs to win or lose depending on how they approach things. With the exception of Gallia Academy I see the other teams still in a position of rebuilding next year. With the talent in th...

I watched Baker from Paint Valley throw 121 feet 5 inches in the girls discus. It looked farther and I thought it might have been measured wrong, but it was a great throw.

Re: OHSAA proposes spring ball
During the years Gene Slaughter was the football coach at Jackson, the secret for his success was not spring football practice. Jackson was the Logan of the SEOAL at that time with the largest student body and population , they were the largest school in the SEOAL. The atomic plant was there bringin...

Re: Oak Hill Football 2011
Oaks still have enough weapons to win the SOC 1. they can beat Green, East and Notre Dame will be a game they will have to be up for but they can win that game, Symmes will be a battle for them but its a winable game for them. There are some non -league wins there also

Re: Jackson vs Oak Hill
The last time they played was in the mid -1970s around 1974 , when the game was put to rest as it should have been. By that time Jackson was so much bigger in size that it didnt make sense to keep it going.

Re: Oak Hill Football 2011
Its apples and oranges. Jackson is D 3 playing the teams they should be playing and Oakhill is D5 playing the teams they should be playing. You are comparing them to a school your size. Why would you want to look down on them. By the mid 70s Oak Hill kept getting smaller and Jackson larger, it just ...

Re: Oak Hill Football 2011
Its all relative KINGheat. Now for the second year in a row Jackson is in the same position as Oakhill was last year and the year before in their league. They both played similar schedules last year as far as winning teams, they both played in leagues that were down. Oak Hill is barely D5 closer to ...
