Re: Substituting Menu Items at Restaurants
I have had very good results asking for "low-carb" substitutions at various eating places. I have ordered a "sandwich" and said "but leave off the bun"; I have asked for "more lettuce" instead of "fries" with "platter" orders and practical...

Re: south webster coaching
Jeep80 After a person is hired is not the time for "making sure they are making the right hire". If the person signs the contract it is awfully hard to unhire them at that point. The "right hire" determination must be made before offering a contract. As for competing on a regiona...

Re: Free KFC Grilled Chicken dinners No Joke
Everyone that has a coupon should go to KFC and order a dinner and when they bring it pay for it with the coupon and if they dont take it tell them to keep their meal. Sure couldn't tell you that they are running out of chicken cause it's right their on the counter.

Re: Free KFC Grilled Chicken dinners No Joke
This whole promotion has turned into a joke, A great BIG joke. The wife tried to redeem a coupon at New Boston KFC (this AM) and was told they were no longer taking them. When I called I was told that I could get a paper they had and send in the coupon and get a "rain check". Was told they...

Portsmouth Daily Times to Drop Monday Issue
In the 5-5-09 edition of the Times it was announced that the company is discontinuing the Monday issue of the Times. That is a 1/7th cut back. I am sure that "the company" will cut back the price of each issue by $.07. NOT !!!! It was stated that the cut back would save news print. A much ...

Re: Substituting Menu Items at Restaurants
Have you noticed the degraded service at most restaurants in this area also? It seems like Toro Loco's are the only places you can consistently get good service anymore. Degraded service is only part of it. There is a lot of mistakes made on the checks. I would say that one out of 4-5 checks I get ...

Re: Substituting Menu Items at Restaurants
It's not all that uncommon among fast food joints. I worked at KFC and Dairy Queen and they charged extra for everything they could get away with charging for. Maybe I should have made it clear. I am not talking about fast food joints. Im talking about $$, $$$, $$$$ restaurants. I understand that s...

Substituting Menu Items at Restaurants
The wife and I eat at restaurants from the Huntington Mall to Columbus and some south into Ky. And we have only found one that will not let us substitute a menu item. In fact it was not even an item it was only (their "famous")salad dressing for the salsa with the Taco Salad. The waitress ...

It's not happening in Portsmouth today. You don't think a business in Portsmouth would do anything to attract more business do you? The attitude of the business community in that town is, "We don't have it--you don't need it" and "We're not going to do anything to encourage new busin...

It's just down the road. Not like it closed for good as Pop's did.
By the way that building across from Krogers in the 'Burg is not going to be a new version of Pop's as once was said on here.
